The packaging DOES make it hard to open and slippery in the shower. I really do like this condtioner. My hair is very long (colored also) and the ends get dry just a day after a shampoo even with conditioner, but when I add this after or alone after shampoo, the ends don’t dry out as quickly. I just discovered L’oreal’s Protein Recharge leave-in for ends, Will try it today.

AMAZING STUFF. I purchased this along with the conditioner and leave in conditioner from this line.
I apply this to my damaged hair post shower when my conditioner has been rinsed out… one problem with damaged hair is that conditioners get absorbed and evaporate quickly. This stuff is amazing post-conditioning because it seals all the conditioner in to avoid any moisture loss in the hair over night. I wake up with soft hair… I will also sometimes mix in my favorite coconut oil and this acts a moisture barrier keeping it sealed in,
I was feeling very down after my hair has been so dry from dying and heat styling lately but I am finally seeing my hair returning to its normal state thanks to this stuff while I nurse it back to health.

Since I’m on a budget, I’d have to say this is a pretty darn good hair mask. It’s not as nice as some of the salon brands I’ve tried, they give more slip and shine than this. This moisturizes abd gives my hair some fullness, but leaves it a little frizzy. In a pinch would repurchase

Re-discovered this at the back of my bathroom cabinet and remembered how good this was for my hair when it was at its worst.. It was after a salon treatment some years back when my hair suddenly became very straw-like and super prone to split ends. I used this not daily but 1-2 times every week for about a month, applying it to both lengths and especially on ends whilst getting on with other shower duties. After several minutes would rinse this off and dry. The reason I held onto it is because it made a big difference and one of only a handful of products I would use in a similar future situation. Totally restored the condition of my hair and helped immensely with the split ends. Still plenty of product in the tub if the need arises again as only needed to use for about 4 weeks after which hair was back to normal.

Yuck. I wish I would have paid more attention to the ingredients list vs reviews on this one. I wanted a deeper conditioner to use more like a mask for my ends; I found this to feel like a regular conditioner. Its thick but runs though my hair like a regular conditioner. However, I missed the whole “balm” description (instead of mask) and by day 2, my hair was a clumpy, tangled, greasy mess. The ingredients are plain nasty– 4th ingredient is a ‘cone, followed by WAX, then RUBBING ALCOHOL? Like, what?! In what world is putting wax and rubbing alcohol in your hair restorative?
The smell was mellow, didnt bother me nor was it strong or perfumey, that was the best part and I’m sensitive to smells. Packaging is gross and messy. I wanted to try the Garnier 1 minute fruit masks, but the scents were really strong and they have comedogenic ingredients. Ugh. Will slowly use this up, I find I can use it maybe once a week or once in a blue moon, but will not repurchase.

I agree with those who remarked that the packaging is awkward and difficult to handle. I use it in the shower and dropped it with the top off several times. I have thin, older hair that is no longer colored or permed. I started using this product in June, 2017 and am finishing up my first container as I use it weekly. I have purchased a new container.
I find this product to be a wonderful addition to my hair care regimen. It gives volume back to thinning hair as well as helps to promote less breakage. I find the cost to be reasonable, especially since it has lasted me 6 months. After the first three applications, i began using less product and found it worked as well as a heavier application.
I recommend this product for older women who struggle with thinning hair and breakage.

I use thick masks/balms as my regular conditioner. This is a good one among the drugstore options. It left my hair moisturized and soft. “Damage-erasing” is a bit of marketing hype. I didn’t notice any changes in my hair. It’s just a decent thick conditioner.
I don’t like the packaging. In the shower, the tub is extremely slippery and easily dropped. The fragrance is also overwhelming.
Overall, it’s a good product, but not amazing or exceptional. I would buy again if I ran out of my conditioner and needed something from the drugstore.
My hair: Fine in texture, but I have alot of hair. Wavy, dry, somewhat frizzy, blonde (color-treated).

It’s OK, nothing special. It works like a thick conditioner, I didn’t notice any dramatic changes in my hair (thin, curly, color-treated, prone to breakage). Why L’Oreal decided to put this in a peanut butter jar-like tub is beyond me, this makes it incredibly inconvenient for shower use. Also, like most L’Oreal products, it’s very strongly scented (this is why I don’t use most of their face creams). The smell and the packaging are the main reasons why I won’t buy this again.

This is a good drug store deep conditioner, and I used it religiously for quite some time. I have fine, color treated hair that always needs more moisture, and this was my go-to when I still purchased products from L’Oreal. I do not think that it actually repairs or erases any damage, but it does infuse a lot of moisture into the hair to replace whatever is lost through coloring, heat styling, etc. I really like the pudding-like consistency, as it felt like it was really coating the hair without feeling heavy and still rinsed cleanly. Even when my hair was long I could get at least 5-7 uses out of a tub, so it was fairly economical as well. I won’t repurchase again due to L’Oreal’s animal testing policy.
