Excellent for very damaged hair. Once a week I wash my hair, apply this and sleep in it. The next morning I just rinse and style. I have fine, frizzy hair and Olaplex 2 keeps it looking its best. It’s stronger than number 3 and I love it.
You may want to wash it out if your hair isn’t as dry and frizzy as mine.

I bought a 2 liter pump bottle of this on sale on Overstock.com. The reviews on the website state this is a legitimate product. I’ve used No 3 and thought it was great, but read that No 2 was stronger and my hair needs all the help it can get.
I dampened my hair, slathered this on, combed it through, and put on a plastic hair cap. I slept with this in my hair overnight, shampooed and conditioned in the morning, used my leave in conditioner/blow out spray/heat protectant as usual, blow dryed and flat ironed my hair.
The only new thing in my routine is the Olaplex, and my hair looks like I just stepped out of the salon. This is the best my hair has ever looked AND felt. I’ve done this twice now (once a week) and the results are the same – beautiful, soft, shiny, bright hair. I’m seriously shocked. My hair felt so rough and tangled before using this and now I can run my fingers through it and it feels like soft, baby hair. Even though this is really expensive, the 2 liter bottle will last a LONG time and the results are so, so worth it. I will be using this for as long as I have hair lol.

I use this instead of Olaplex 3 for faster results, and it works so so well. My hair has never looked this good since I started bleaching it. (I don’t use Olaplex 1 and 2 when bleaching.) Holy f-ing grail.

I was using #3 overnight and following this with a hydrating treatment (Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter mask) with heat for 45 minutes or so. Although I did have the authentic Olaplex product (I got it from my stylist first and later from runwaybeautytrends on ebay, which was the exact same thing in every way), it wasn’t very effective unless it was the week after I had #1 and #2 in the salon. When I followed up with #3 two weeks or thee week thereafter, #3 seemed much less effective. So I decided to purchase a liter of #2 from my stylist, who was kind enough to sell it to me at cost. I used it overnight, just like I did with #3, and followed it with the same SM mask. I did this for two weeks in a row and I have to say that my hair improved tremendously. I now think that #3 did very little in comparison to #2. I would have done a stand alone treatment, which may be my next step, but I have a significant amount of #2 to use up and it was a considerable expense so it will have to do for now. But the difference between #2 and #3 is amazing. My hair is much softer and definitely stronger and although I haven’t stopped heat styling or coloring, I can definitely tell a huge difference. Although #3 did make a difference, it wasn’t something that anyone other than me would notice. But strangely enough, my hubby noticed that my hair was in much better condition after using #2 for three weeks. I let my hair air dry after the third #2/SM treatment and the next day when I told him he would have to wait for me to do my hair (we were going to lunch), he told me that I didn’t need to do anything to it, that it looked great just as it was!! Now I don’t know if he was telling me this just to hurry me along or what but when I looked in the mirror, to my astonishment, I decided he was absolutely right. I didn’t really need to curl my hair at all. It looked just fine the way it was, which was nothing short of a miracle, lol! So #2 definitely did something positive. And I have a lot more product to use up so things will only get better. So this review is to say two things: first, that using #2 overnight works really well and secondly, that you should spend your money on #2 rather than on #3. I think my results bear this out.
