I got a sample size of this from Sephora as a gift so I was able to use it a few times. And frankly, this stuff sucks. Right off the bat it didn’t feel nourishing or moisturizing and when I ran it through my hair I smelled alcohol. My hands were super dry afterwards so I can only imagine what it’s doing to my hair. It didn’t help the frizz and made my hair feel like straw. Awful. I have wavy fine hair and for the record, I had just used Olaplex and my hair was super soft. Added this right after and my hair is now crunchy.
EDIT: I actually had to wash this out of my hair because it made my hair so brittle and frizzy.

I enjoy this product and feel that it works better on my hair when it’s damp. I probably put about 6 pumps in my long wavy hair from root to tip and I scrunch it to bring out my curls. It never looks greasy or frizzy even after a long day.

I guess I’m in the minority that really had luck with this. It softens without being greasy or weighing down my strands, has a pleasant scent that isn’t cloying, and leaves great shine to my hair that is noticeable. I felt it did a great job of controlling the frizz and making my hair look presentable on its own. Very pricey which might deter me from repurchasing unless on sale.

I haven’t had any luck with living proof products but I love this! I have fine , highlighted and colored damaged frizzy dry hair. I use one pump on wet hair only (on dry hair I didn’t like it) and it made my hair look really moisturizer and smooth and silky. I use in conjunction with a few other products (leave in conditioner and heat protectant) I felt I needed a little more moisture to add to my current arsenal and this oil fits in perfectly! If you have really dry frizzy damaged hair try this! (Did not like it on dry hair thou felt a little weighed down)

Quite frankly, this is the BEST Hair Oil I have ever used. I have naturally fine, coarse hair that is wavy at the roots and straight mid-lengths through the ends- thanks keratin treatment! No really, thanks because my hair is so much more manageable. I have recently bleached my hair and my ends had not recovered until using this! I’m talking crispy to the point of snapping off and falling to the floor when I brushed through my once enviably silky tresses. I swore off oils as they enevitably made my hair weighed down and dull. Living Proof has become my sole hair care brand of choice so I was willing to step out on a limb. This stuff smells AMAZING!!! That wasn’t even the best part- my hair is so incredibly shiny and smooth after using this. I use two pumps on wet hair and two pumps after flat ironing. It sinks right in! Incredible stuff. It contains the brand’s healthy hair molecule keeping your hair cleaner longer. This is great to know because most oils draw dust and dirt to your hair like a magnet. If you are sitting the fence on this one- you will not be sorry. Besides, what do you have to lose?

The only thing I like about this is the scent (which did not last long unfortunately). Overall experience was disappointing – my hair was just as frizzy without using it. Good thing I purchased it at Sephora so I ended up returning it.

I agree with the reviewer that said it leaves your hair feeling frizzy and drier IT DOES! I have coarse texture curly hair and this is the worst crap I have ever used. This was my first product in the Living Proof line and my last

I had to write a review after reading another reviewer’s negative experience. First of all, there’s a lot of “fake” Living Proof stuff being sold online, so i would recommend getting yours from the source, their website. Also, i have had bad results from using one single LP product (the leave-in) along with other silicone-containing products. Their products do not contain any silicone, and i guess they don’t mix well with other products. Having said that, this time i purchased the whole line (yes it’s pricey!) and i am completely in love! I don’t think i’ll ever go back to my old shampoos and conditioners and styling products! I love this oil because my coarse, ethnic and thirsty hair loves oils! Before this oil i was using coconut, babassu, argan, and jojoba oils. In comparison, the LP nourishing oil is a lot lighter and doesn’t leave that oily residue that natural oils may leave. A little bit goes a long way! I use it sparingly as a finishing oil, after i blow dry and flat iron my curly unruly hair. It gives a lot of shine and just a smooth, healthy feeling. Like i did with natural oils, i also use this on my skin, and love it. The smell is a citrus-y tangerine scent, that i love, but it does not linger much. My main “con” with this oil is the price, of course, the Living Proof line is very expensive! But so far i am happy with it!

I don’t understand how an oil that has “no frizz” and “nourishing” in its name could make my hair this frizzy, dried out, and unmanageable. I really hated the way this stuff made my hair look and feel. Also, the packaging is a frosted glass bottle with a plastic pump and at least a quarter of it leaked out all over everything else in the box during transit (which was upsetting at the time but of course now I don’t care because after two uses I tossed the entire bottle in the garbage). The pump itself has a hair trigger and if you aren’t gentle when using it has a tendency to shoot the oil straight out in fairly large amounts. But all of that would be far less aggravating if the oil itself worked for me. Which it didn’t. By a long shot. My hair looked and felt like a tangled fishnet after I used this product. Rather than “nourishing” my coarse, frizzy hair, this stuff aggravated the condition and left me with a cloud of knotted, frizzy strands that then ignored my flat-iron and would only retreat after a good hair-washing and deep conditioning. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone.
