I stopped coloring my hair about 8 months ago. I’ve always had wavy, easy to straighten hair (as long as it was colored) and I just used average “for color-treated hair” shampoos and conditioners with good results. Well…it’s been so long since my hair has been natural (like 25 plus years) that I had no idea my hair was REALLY CURLY! It’s not kinky and I know there is like some kind of scale that describes curl type (can you tell I’m an inexperienced white girl?) but the best I could describe is the curl is maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch around? Anyway, curly hair is dry hair…I’m not sure why but if I don’t load my hair up with product my hair looks crazy big. So, I have been cowashing and using this castor oil in my hair. Now, this is like olive oil consistency instead from what I can tell REAL castor oil is like molasses. I will list the ingredients above. I LOVE THIS STUFF! It is now my styling tool for getting my curls to look smooth and shiny. It smells like heaven and there are other “flavors” but my cowash is coconut so I chose coconut. I don’t think I can live without this. It’s good for your skin too! I can’t recommend this enough. I use just a few drops and boom! beautiful, good smelling hair. I get it at Sallys for about 7.00 for 4 ounces. The only negative I would say it the bottle doesn’t have a dropper so I just decanted it into something that did.
