I love Kerastase`s Densifique line: the shampoo, conditioner, treatment and mousse work great for my hair. Out of all the volumizing hair products I`ve tried, this has been the best and most consistent for me. This scalp massage comes in 30 small vials that you`re supposed to use daily to help maintain and increase the density of your hair. According to the package insert, people see results after 3 months of use. This is pretty expensive, 170 bucks per 1 month`s worth of vials in Japan. I bought them because the other treatment from Kerastase similar to this, the one that is supposed to stop hair loss, has really worked for me. It`s been 2 years since I`ve used that one and my hair is still going strong, no more exaggerated hair fall. Now I`ve tried this Densifique massage treatments for the 3 recommended months. It does certainly texturize hair, so after blow drying and styling, the hair on the crown of my head looks fluffier and denser. I`d say 10% more than before the treatment started. Was it worth it? It`s hard to tell at this point. I mean, does my hair look better and denser? Sure. In the short term, it works. Will it last after the treatment is done? That remains to be seen. I will definitely update here, because this is a pricy little bugger, and I`d have appreciated some reviews to guide me before making the purchase. As I was pretty desperate, I just took the plunge.
UPDATE 6/2018: So it`s been more than a month now since I`ve stopped the treatments. My hair does look thicker than before, but the results are not dramatic by any means. My hairdresser tells me that it really worked for her brother (the male version of these treatments), but that he`s stuck with it for 6 months. That`s a whole lot of cash, so I don`t know that I would spend so much, unless I won the lottery any time soon.
