This is such a gimmicky product.
The shampoo & conditioner from this line is pretty good and actually does leave hair with quite a bit of volume. I’ve had a lot of success with those plus products from the repair line from L’Oreal’s Advanced Haircare line that I really thought this concentrate would do something spectacular.
It is a clear concentrate that feels a bit slippery. The previous review is right on the money about the whole packaging of these… the single dose tubes could easily have been packaged into something more user friendly. You get quite a bit of a product in each tube.
I did as the instructions indicated, I mixed the entire tube with some of the Volume Filler conditioner (which is kind of annoying to do, they both have vastly different textures) and applied it to my hair, let it sit a minute or 2 and then rinsed.
My hair was a little harder to comb out than usual. I did my usual light styling. End result? My hair was flatter than ever. Ha. Kind of fitting I tried this on April Fool’s Day because that was definitely my “jokes on me” moment of the day, the fact that something that is supposed to boost volume left my hair utterly flat and lifeless and otherwise unmanagable.
Absolutely hated this product.

This treatment that promises 2x’s the volume is part of l”oreals new advance haircare volume line. I bought this and used with other shampoo and conditioner line, as well as with the matching L’oreal line.
First, the packaging is little plastic tubes with twist off ends meant to hold a single dose of product. There is a very generous amount inside, so unless your hair is very long/thick, you will not need all the dose and have to prop the tube up somewhere to save the rest. I have short hair, and easily can get 3 uses out of a tube. I see no reason why the treatments shouldn’t be packaged in one bottle with a flip cap.
Secondly, the treatment is around $6 for the three tubes; fine if it worked, but third, what they mean by 2x’s the volume is your hair feeling a bit gummy, coated, and somewhat tangly. It is really not worth the trouble to use at all. Instead I suggest you go straight to trying out the matching conditioner and shampoo, as they do a great job of preserving hairs volume while offering super shine and condition.
