Well, if I’m ever invited to a beach party in Ibiza, this is what I’m taking with me. Other than that, I am indeed planning to buy this to add a tropical punch or a burst of laughter to my murky winter life. I read about Wonderlust’s notes after I sampled and loved it and truth be told, I would never imagine from those notes that this is a tropical kick with a very prominent bubblegum note, that jasmine and violet sometimes offer to me, too – in J’adore and TF Violet Blonde respectively. Here, I also get a realistic almond impression that rings the bells for Hypnotic Poison at one point. Indeed, they are surprisingly similar. Other than that, Jasmin is tropical, and the base is a comfortable, quite balmy sandalwood.
Wonderlust is not the most unique smell or anything. If you like fruity florals like Escada used to do, it is quite similar in feel. If you used to get a morale boost from Beyond Paradise, it will give you the same with a less floral and more fruity vibe. Despite its brightness and fruitiness, it is neither screechy nor cloying. It reminds me of messy summer hair done with sea salt spray, long and colourful dresses, stripes of colours that somehow go so well together sometimes – like fuschia and orange together. But it also reminds me of chic women returning from holidays abroad, sporting a good tan and meeting for their female friends at a coffee shop. They are having fun.
I am indeed planning to buy Wonderlust soon and I will probably saying ‘yeah, well, why the hell not?’ I don’t think this would be anyone’s lifelong signature because it has a very specific vibe and a definite mood. But if you like this kind of stuff, I am sure it will always put a smile on your face.
Very good sillage with multiple spritzes – in the case that you want to expose strangers to your neon happiness – and very good lasting power.

This reminds me of an old lady fragrance. I will not purchase.

I got a big bubble gummy top note that smelled just like a Hello Kitty eraser I had as a kid.
Had to get this just for that, really. I am not sure what official note that is. But I needed it. For nostalgia’s sake since the eraser is long gone.
This dried down to a soft cinnamon-y note I am noticing in a lot of new releases, but I found this one to be well-balanced and since I kept sniffing my wrist, I opted to buy this, despite how careful I am at adding to my collection.

I love this scent and my hubby loves it too. It’s just the right mixture of sweet, spicy, creamy, and earthy.

Long-lasting at a most reasonable price, just wonderful!

Wonderlust is one of the best fragrances I’ve smelled in a long time. I, too, find myself smelling my own wrists. I put this perfume on when I have nowhere to go. This fragrance is floral but there’s enough “spice” in it to offset the floral. I’m thrilled I found a scent that I can finally LOVE!

Love this new perfume from Michael Kors, it does take a bit of time to get used to though as it’s not as gourmand as the notes would suggest. It opens quite bright and citrusy but settles down to a nice floral but creamy scent with a milky sweetness. Very addictive, cannot stop smelling my wrists and it gets better the longer it’s on the skin. Definitely worth trying to see how it develops on your skin

I’ve come around to liking Wonderlust EDP. When I first tested it, my nose started looking for the soft gourmand notes that I’d read about online — esp the almond milk, heliotrope, and cashmere wood. I detected them, bought a small bottle — but then when I wore it later, the citrus & floral notes popped out a bit too sharply, and I got a wee headache and became unsure of it — thought it might be too floral for me.
But now I’m back to liking it — even sort of craving it — but I’ve learned that I must use just a *small spritz*. I’m sensitive to white florals, and this does contain 2 Jasmines (see heart notes below), plus some citrus, so I have to spritz lightly. Then it’s okay and I enjoy it.
Launched in summer of 2016 in a beautiful oval peachy bottle, here are the notes:
Top — Italian bergamot, Almond milk, Pink pepper, Sicilian mandarin
Heart –Carnation, Heliotrope, Jasminum grandiflorum absolute, Jasmine sambac
Base Notes — Cashmere wood, Sandalwood, Benzoin siam
Soft gourmandy notes for sure — esp at first spritz — and then, on me, the Bergamot/Mandarin and 2 Jasmines kind of pop out of the soft gourmands — almost a little too sharply (this happens to me with Modern Muse also — sharp florals popping out of a softer backdrop). But if I *spritz lightly* (my rule of thumb with this one), it all combines into a soft pretty scent. I would almost categorize this as a soft tropical floral gourmand — IMHO the pepper & benzoin notes are very minimal.
It’s bright, energizing, outgoing, & exciting (from citrus & florals & a little pepper) — yet soft and cozy-ish at the same time, from the gourmandy notes. Quite an unusual little mix, and it sort of took me a while to figure it out, but now I like it. I wore it all day Sunday — out to dinner — and enjoyed it. I think it’s a good scent for days off and happy times.
I’m planning to wear Wonderlust on my beach trip in October — I think it will be perfect!

To me, this is a fragrance that has been done to death. From beginning spritz to dry down to time to shower it off, it has nothing ‘unique’ about it. I just detect a lot of sweetness to this. FWIW, I spray a perfume and ‘walk into’ it, so it does not mix with my body chemistry as much as if I sprayed directly on to my skin. To me, this smells like many of the celeb fragrances out there, and other fragrances, for that matter. Just nothing ‘unique’ in my humble opinion.
This lists almond as a top note. I detect no almond at all, which is a shame because I love almond scents and as such I had hopes for this. In fact, I detect none of the notes listed online for this. I just detect a very cloying sweet scent that seems very girly.
Here are the ‘main accords’ according to fragrantica.com:
(which I sadly detect none of these accords..)
MAIN ACCORDS
almond
nutty
floral
citrus
powdery
fruity
With this, I just detect a very cloying sweet scent that seems very girly. I detect a sweetness that is nondescript, it is not almond, it is not fruity nor citrus, it is not even vanilla. Just…very sweet. I maybe detect a slight hint of floral in the very background, if my nose really strains to find it..but the sweetness is very predominant in this for me. It is not a terrible perfume, just not unique to me. I do see sandalwood listed as a note, and I detect barely a hint of sandalwood when again straining my nose to smell. So, again, the sweetness just overrides everything in this for me. I will say the sweetness is not overpowering nor headache-inducing, it is rather light. Could be safe enough to wear to the office or to school.
Bonus points though because this does last all day and the bottle is pretty. The bottle imo is classy looking and pretty without ‘trying to hard’. Comfortable in the hands and easy to spray, which my bad wrists appreciate!! But the fragrance in itself is pretty average.
If you want a ‘safe,’ sweet, very girly, light and slightly floral with a hint of sandalwood fragrance, this might be for you. To me, there are too many other fragrances out there that I do not want to smell like the average girl at the mall.

Looking at the notes, I had high expectations for Wonderlust,,,upon receiving it, it left me a bit wondering what it is supposed to be !? I don’t get the almond milk, and I don’t fnd it to have a gourmand character,,I would describe it as a fresh spicy scent, with a bit of warmth throughout. I wore it and got compliments from a couple guys ! So no doubt, it has a certain attractive vibe but I am not too crazy about it!! I like it, but I don’t love it..
The nose behind it always frustrates me, his creation always have that unfinished characteristic!?
