While I wasn’t immediately wowed by Poudrée, it turned into such a beautiful fragrance after the drydown. I can definitely smell the tonka which is one of my favorite notes. It’s followed by a gloriously understated jasmine plus just the perfect amount of rosiness and cedarwood. It’s lasting power is impressive and the sillage is just right. I can’t believe I’ve never tested this before! It’s like a younger/hipper Donna Karen Cashmere Mist.

I am all over this—I <3 it sooooo much! It’s modern yet timeless, the color of the bottle suits it perfectly if scent was a color this scent would be Rosa pink w a beige lid & the fine font. This smells like a creamy rosy musk (the edp is gardenia musk & the edt is peony), but this is all roses & musk it’s so pretty/girly/elegant but I think the girls who are a little older (the post Viva la juicy Ari Ariana Grande crowd) are going to gravitate towards, not teenyboppers type of frag I hate to give demographics on a frag. This was a love from the moment I sprayed it (blind buy this in a set of the edp/edt white-black cubes in a 3 set [for my bday lol] exclusive set for Macy’s of 1oz cubes) couldn’t be timed better I received this in the mail on my bday day! My bday fell on a Monday this year so we had mail & I had ordered them on Friday so freakin awesome l love this 1 #winning I feel so dang fancy wearing this. I feel fearless, feminine, soft, rounded curves not the stupid dream bimbos slender beauties who I adore (is Behati not a hawtie??? She be a hawtie!!!! Lucky Adam!) when I wear Bombshell from Vickie’s Secret #imnoangel opiate of my olfactory system!! Yum!

This fragrance peaked my interest as it was sent to me in an Ulta insert. The next I went to try it out and it wasn’t the same scent I remembered. The Bulgarian rose, jasmine, and patchouli were too overpowering and definitely not my cup of tea. I will not purchase.

This is a beautiful fragrance that I have fallen in love with. For me this smells so good! First off I love white florals Jasmine being my favorite, second I love rose especially Bulgarian rose. I like it because it’s not too sweet. I also love woody notes in perfumes. Lastly my favorite scent is musk, I look for it in a lot of the scents I wear. So when I saw this on Fragrantica I decided to try it. So I took a risk and bought the 1.6 ounce bottle and turns out that I could wear this all the time I just adore it. It’s up there in price but there are discounted sites so I found mine for a reasonable price.
Musky floral scents are what I like and prefer to wear. So this is a great scent for me because it checks all the boxes of what I like in a fragrance. Here are the notes per Fragranatica:
Top: Orange blossom, Jasmine, Bulgarian rose
Middle: Musk
Base: Coumarin, vetiver, white and black cedar, patchouli
These notes to me make a perfume that I just love and I really like how most of Narciso’s Rodriguez’s perfumes use musk. That’s what led me to this line. I also own For Her edp and like that too. But this is just love! I love how it settles into this lovely skin scent and it lasts on me for hours but the sillage is normal you’ll leave a trail but it’s nothing super strong or offensive for me it’s a sexy flowery musk in all of its glory. If you like musk and white florals I’d say it’s a safe blind buy but I do say try it before you buy it if you’re paying full retail.
Also I love the skin colored bottle. I love how chunky it is lol. I find it quite groovy. 😉 As a musk lover I could see other musk lovers enjoying this. It’s a beautiful one if you ask me. I will repurchase this. Recommended.

No. I tried, and I definitely can’t do. I thought I’d love it because I DO love the “NR For Her” series and I DO really love musk, rose, and a soft-cozy-creamy scent … BUT … Poudree is like the others in the Narciso EDP series for me — all misses. I love the “NR for Her” line, but I can’t stand the Narciso EDP line — not white EDP cube, not black EDT cube (although it’s probably my fave of the 3), and now this is the pink EDP cube Poudree version.
Poudree just doesn’t smell good IMHO. Sort of nasty even, to my nose. It smells like Desitin diaper rash cream with a little flat 70’s rose scent mixed in. It’s like that old-fashioned rose lotion they sold in drugstores in the 70’s — I can’t remember its name (Rose Milk?). Narciso Poudree’s scent has no prettiness whatsoever, to my nose — it’s a dull flat non-pretty powdery-creamy rose mixed with a dull flat non-pretty cold-cream scent. A bit repugnant to my nose, even.
So I did my standard litmus test — put it on before bed and then surprised myself with a first-morning sniff. Yuck — it didn’t make me go, “Whoa, that’s nice — what did I put on last night?” — au contraire, I thought, “Eww, what in the world did I put on last night?” — and then I had to spray something else over it for the day (I chose Chloe EDP, which I like about 20 times more than Poudree).
My overnight “blind test” didn’t help my verdict on Poudree at all. It smells old-fashioned, dull & flat, a bit yuck — like Pond’s cold cream with dull rose. I couldn’t wear this in public with confidence. Anyone passing me might do a head-jerk in my direction — probably not in a good way — might think I smelled like their great aunt Tilly.

Beautiful, cosy, soft and long lasting fragrance. I wore this perfume on my wedding day, its one of those smells that lingers delicately around you. Makes me wanna cuddle with myself 🙂 AMAZING…

A really lovely cosy scent.
I have NR for her eau de toilette and although I adore that scent it is a bit too heavy in the summer our during work.
Poudre has a strong musky floral smell when spritzed on but dries down to a very soft musky smell with a hint of jasmine and rose.
It stays on for 8-9 hours which I really like. I xan’t stand it if a smell disappears in a few hours.

I had a sample of this in a magazine, and loved it. I now own a bottle and I think it’s just beautiful. It’s not my HG fragrance, that accolade goes to the dearly departed JPG Fragile, but it’s up there with fragrances I love.
It’s creamy powdery, silky and enveloping. I’m useless at describing notes, so I won’t try!
Highly recommend trying this one, even maybe blind buying.

I am always reading fragrance reviews, forums, blogs. I love reading about new fragrance releases and eagerly anticipate new arrivals in stores. I have been badgering my local parfumery for months now about NR “Poudrée” and was finally rewarded last month. I have a sample, which I have been testing, but it is a waste of time. Poudrée is simply a HUGE disapointment to me! I. Am so sad about this. My tastes are a bit obscure at times, as I find I can appreciate a lot of variations of olfactory pleasure. What I cannot appreciate, in such a saturated market, is cheap. Poudrée smells, very simply put, cheap! It smells harsh, synthetic, chemical. I have had hairsprays which smelled less alcohol-y than Poudrée. It is a very tenacious scent, long lasting, to the point of cloying. There was no change whatsoever on my skin and I got hours and hours of the same “eau de Elnett” vibe. The bottle is so beautiful in its simplicity, but the juice inside, not so much. I get absolutely no powder, at all. I love powdery fragrances in general and was expecting a light, modern powder. Nothing could be farther from what I smell. Poudrée is terribly grating. I was cleaning out my fragrance cupboard yesterday, wearing Poudrée. I sprayed some glass cleaner on a cloth, and was irritated 15 minutes later, thinking the cleaner had gotten on my dress as I kept getting whiffs of chemical. Nope, it was Poudrée…wafting up from my skin where I had sprayed that morning. No thank you, I will pass on a full bottle.

Narciso EdP Poudrée is the third release of the white flower/musk theme from Narciso Rodriguez in the cubic glass bottles. US launch spring ’16. While the first release, the EDP, comes in a creamy white cube, the second, the EDT is offered in a black cube, for this latest one, the EDP Poudrée a soft pastel pink was chosen (see the uploaded stock photo).
Notes:
– Top: bulgarian rose, white jasmine
– Heart: musk
– Base: vetiver, black and white cedar
Over the years I have had most of NR’s creations in my collection as I truly enjoy his masterful concoctions of musk and florals, and Narciso is no difference. This third creation of the Narciso series emphasizes the common theme of soft musk while toning down the flowers. There is a floral opening of rose and jasmine, but the white heady florals which dominate the other two Narcisos – the Gardenia in the EDP and the Peony in the EDT – are absent here, making the Poudrée the softer sibling within the trio. To my nose, Poudrée is a creamy and all around cozy scent, but not without its own character and distinction. I find it really beautiful and completely worthy to own if you like any of the previous two releases. And it’s worth sampling if you found the white or black Narciso too harsh for your liking.
