I’ve never really gotten into Dolce and Gabbana fragrances but I bought a bunch of perfumes recently from Nordstrom and I got The One as a sample. What an absolutely delightful little gem. This is beautiful vanilla fragrance with a soft luxurious cashmere feel. The perfume is a delicious gourmand and the sillage is wonderful. I’m not usually a fan of vanillic fragrances but this is fantastic. As a man I will gladly wear this and completely enjoy it.

at first, I thought this perfume smelled very “old” but I’m suddenly obsessed with it. The lingering “after smell” is really enticing and sexy and mature. My signature scent has been Burberry Brit for years but I like this scent for my winter signature scent. As opposed to my other favourites (Light Blue, Brit), this one is quite strong so I only wear one spray right on my neck as opposed to 3 all over. It lasts all day and I feel like it can be smelled on me by other people, which I love. The bottle is gorgeous and so classy and it’s quite expensive but on a sale on Amazon or Groupon, totally worth it.

My perfume wardrobe mainly consists of gourmands with a select few musk-based florals thrown in. Out of my entire collection this is my absolute favorite, there is nothing else like it. I have repurchased 3 times now! It is described as a fruity floral, but on my chemistry it comes across as a gourmand, almost pastry like. On my skin it smells something like a lemon custard, or a creme brulee – so fantastic, yummy and so hard to describe. It is not a flat scent, it definitely has depth and all of the notes dance with one another beautifully. I can wear this any time, any day, any season and it will always smell delicious. It lasts forever on me; the sillage is excellent and not overpowering. I wear it to bed and wake up still covered in The One’s cashmere blanket. I can’t get enough!

My absolute favourite perfume. It is so mature, cozy, and sophisticated! I have the roller ball just to test it out but I’m definitely getting a full bottle of it.

I wanted so badly to like this perfume, as I’ve seen tons of great reviews on multiple sites, but boy is this scent NOT for me. I disliked it so much that I gave it away to a friend :/ I gave it a try when it popped up on the “scents you may like” feature on Sephora who, by the way, promoted it as a VANILLA scent. I find this to be misleading and inaccurate.
In my opinion, The One falls much more heavily in the FLORAL category, of which I am not a fan. I don’t mind fresh/floral/citrus notes so long as they are not the main focus/base. Scents that are overwhelmingly floral, like The One, give me headaches! :/
The price is reasonable, however I also found the packaging to be very basic and somewhat boring.
I will never purchase this again. However, it is important to point out that many others love this fragrance, so do yourself a favor and read a ton of reviews before making your decision! If you prefer gourmand/sweet/sensual/spicy over all else … I’d bet this one is NOT for you.

I…am…in…LOVE!! There’s really nothing ore that needs to be said. This has become my second favorite perfume. The perfect way to describe this scent would be a combination of “Glow by J.Lo” and “Miami Glow” also by J. Lo, ironically. I wish I had discovered this scent way earlier than I did, but it doesn’t matter because now that I have it in my possession, I absolutely am in love with it!! Highly recommended; light, cozy scent that can worn year round.

I don’t like it’s.. There’s other products same price or less has same nice small and stay on you hours … I used but the smell not stayed and when i used alot quantity of its its become strong bad smell and also not stay …

Smell gives me headache….i was intrigued by the good reviews…but ohh my god…i cant pull it off…i m kinda sweet perfume lover…n this is nono for me…n doesnt last long max 2 hours for such an expensive perfume…waste of money….

I am a “perfume addict,” as my mom calls me; my favorite fragrances include the following: Ralph Lauren Romance, Chanel No 5 Eau Premiére, Burberry London, Tom Ford Black Orchid, Calvin Klein Beauty, and Dior Hypnotic Poison. I had some leftover Christmas money and was in a department store, I thought, “hey why not buy new perfume!” I was torn between Chanel’s Coco Noir and Dolce & Gabbana’s The One. After finally deciding, I chose The One (no pun intended lol). It’s amazing! It has an amber-y vanilla scent to it. And while I’m not a huge fan of very sweet fragrances, The One is an exception, as it has more of a sexy and warm smell. It’s a very warm and seductive scent.

This is a warm vanilla..but, not a cookie or food smell vanilla. A little more mature and sophisticated. Warm, cozy..reminds me of cold nights curled up in a warm sweater. The longevity is pretty good, and it’s settles very nicely once it hits those base notes. No sickly sweetness, no cloying sweetness..as if the vanilla was more..raw, maybe? It’s sexy.
