This is the ultimate girly comfort scent. It smells like musk sticks, turkish delight, rose petals and powder. I have tried the eau de parfum on in stores, and it has decent sillage and lasts around 5-6 hours on me. Considering my skin eats some perfumes, this is really good. The body oil in the large spray botttle is better value. Smells a little creamier and loses some of the powder, with all day longevity. Just spray on pulse points as if it was an alcohol based perfume. Unfortunately it really doesn’t work with my chemistry, which is why I ticked no to repurchase. I was given a bottle for Christmas, and tend to wear it around the house or to bed in cooler weather. Much as I love the fragrance, when I wear it, I am very aware that it just doesn’t suit me. No matter. I will definitely use up the lovely 100ml bottle I was given.
This is perfect for people who want a grown up gourmand.

This is a love affair.I’m 40 and the first time I purchased this was 4 years ago in the form of a tiny pot of hand cream. I was in instantly in love , then I went out and bought the Parfum.Once I’d finished the bottle I was so sad.????
So I’ve just bought it once again and loving it!!! It has three levels of soft sweetness which isn’t sickly like a lot of modern sweet perfumes.Though in its intent to be sweet as it is so so musky, it’s also so so complex and far from being too sweet. It’s soft , uplifting and lovely.Marshmallow is a day to night fragrance.I hope you give it go as it goes the distance no need to reapply unless you are going out that evening just to add a dramatic punch.I hope you love it !!!????

This is a gorgeously sweet scent. I always get lots of compliments when I wear it. MOR products are always lovely.

This has been my signature scent for the last year or 2. I first bought the body oil, then decided to buy this after I started to become a perfume whore. No, it doesn’t smell like marshmallows, the top note is just like musk sticks, with a hint of rose. And they changed the shape of the bottle, which is like a dagger through my heart. I love the gold printing on the new design, but the bottle itself is just a square now. *big sads*
I have found that it is a bit of a man magnet, every time I wear it my male friends seem to jizz their pants as soon as it wafts toward them, one guy saying it is ‘like an aphrodisiac’, and even commented to someone else about it later.
In saying that, it is quite a sweet smell, more of a softer fragrance than a sharper one, and not everyone will love it because of that. My grandmother can’t stand it.
I find I do need to re-apply it after a while because the fragrance doesn’t hold all day, and
I do like to take a break from it every now and again. But it is definitely one of my favourites!

I love the Mor marshmallow soap and lotion, but this is way too cloying and sweet on me and I’m a big fan of Britney Spears’s Fantasy perfume so that is saying something! I gave it to my sister

I have this in the perfume oil form in the roller ball bottle. I adore it. I love the sweet Turkish delight scent…musk is in there but a sweet, powdery musk. I do have to put quite a bit of the oil on to get the scent to last but when it do, it does, but subtly so. The wee oil bottle is very pretty with a gold lid and lacy pink, classic patterns on the bottle itself. The bottle is glass. I paid around $25 NZ for this so quite reasonable, I think. I’d like to get the lotion and powder so I can layer the scent. Definitely a keeper! Delicious!

I tried this today and liked it. But I like a powdery rose scent. I think you really need to wait for the dry down because that’s where the magic happens. I do get the marshmellow in the scent but it’s subtle and I think that’s good. I was considering buying it but then tried “Bella Donna” by Mors and was in love. That’s soooo beautiful. So I got that instead. But I will remember Marshmellow for when I run out of “eau rose” by Dipitique and need a cozier winter rose scent. Great price!

Nice smell if you like sugar (and I do!). Marshmallow scent as we know it is not really from the marshmallow plant anymore. It is usually a concoction of gelatin, sugar, corn syrup and vanilla. Anyway, what you get from this scent is sugar with a little something extra, maybe a warm baking scent. I quite enjoy it. I have problems with allergies/migraines and just can’t do all those playful, foodie delights from Bodycology, VS and BBW and the like. Demeter doesn’t give me any of those problems thank goodness. I like wearing this at night as it’s cuddly, warm and pleasant. Demeter offers the full body line of this too, including shower gel and body lotion. Intend to try those. My one gripe is the scent fades so darn fast. I will try the roll-on oil and see if the scent lasts longer. If you have fragrance sensitives but like sweet, simple scents, I highly recommend this one.

Smells sweet to me, I’m not really sure if it smells like Marshmallows but it doesn’t make me sick to my stomach like some sweet scents do. No, it doesn’t last that long, but it’s a pick me up spray. You’re supposed to spray it on throughout the day as a pick me up. I’d probably buy it again.

I smell nothing! I must have a bad bottle. I sprayed my wrist, and it got wet with product. When I sniffed, it smelled like nothing. I shook it up gently, sprayed, and then got nothing but a pure alcohol scent. I’m so disappointed. I was looking forward to this one because I love the smell of marshmallows.

On first application, this is a mild toasted marshmallow scent with an almost burnt quality. After a few minutes, it loses that burn edge and becomes just plain sugary goodness. That being said, within 30 minutes, I could detect no scent at all…and I mean…NO SCENT! My experience with Demeter scents is that some have amazing staying power (Honey,Strawberry Icecream, Condensed Milk) while others are so fleeting they don;t even make it to the 1/2 hour mark. This one is among the latter which is why I give it such low marks.

I don’t know how they did it. The drydown on this is dead on marshmallow. An hour after I spritzed it, my friends (guys included) were all sniffing my wrist and saying things like, “Whoa – that’s freaky.” My perfume got compared to buttered popcorn jellybellys because the scent is eerily close to the real thing. The top note is buttery to me – it reminds me of the way fresh-made rice krispy treats smell. This one has lasting power on me – my friends could still smell it an hour after I spreyed it, but I had to smell my wrist – no throw at all. If you like marshmallows, this scent is for you. I can’t wait to try layering and see if I can manage to smell like a s’more.

Its very interesting reading the mixed reviews on this product…
Funny how people are getting their knickers in a knot over it not smelling like marshmallows. If it did people would be very disappointed because it would just smell like vanilla sugar. Plenty of those around!
Anyway
I have this in the roller perfume oil but often spray when walking through the department stores here in Australia.
The spray is a little more complex and a whole lot longer wearing than the oil. If you want to make an entrance and be smelt 5 metres away, go for the spray. If you want something a little closer wearing, go the oil.
It does have that ‘pot pouri’ hint in there, or that nursing home smell that someone else described in their review. If you wear Agent Provocateur you will know what I mean. AP is for the Brunette with the Tom Ford black orchid lipstick, the MOR mashmallow is for the Blonde wearing Mac. Its a whole lot more sugary, powdery and rosey but its a nice one for day when your feeling sensual.

Okay…… Here’s the thing…. It’s a lot sweeter than anything I’d normally choose for myself, but my husband is like a drooling labradoor when I wear it. It smells sweet and vanillia-ish, but not like a cupcake batter. It has a gentle rosy aura that keeps it slightly towards the floral fragrance range than the gourmand one. I have the oil roller thingy, but much prefer the EDP spray. The cut-glass bottle is movie-star glam on my nightstand, and the fragrance lasts like no other I’ve had! I can’t wear it in the Summer, as it’s too cloying, but this fragrance goes perfectly well with cashmere sweaters and red lipstick in Winter time!
UPDATE! 12/2012
This product has been out of stock for aaaaaages. It has just come back in and they have re-designed the bottle. (WHY???) The new one’s lovely, but I prefer the luxe, old-style one. I have ordered an old one online from MOR – they have a few left.

Super powdery, sugary rose. A bedtime scent. Appealing anyway, even with scads of powder, but in the end just way too sweet and powdery. I can also see where some reviewers found it cheap smelling. It does remind me a bit of those inexpensive gourmand fragrance oils sold for soap and candle making. Kind of fun, but don’t pay much, and if you hate powder, stay far away. I can do powder only in some combinations, and while this is one, I don’t feel like it’s my personality at all. Very little girlish.
