Overal : fruity floral .
Typically Calice Becker ..a kind of diffuse fruity floral . Not quite J’Adore or the Estee Lauder 5 star by Luca Turin scent !
Opens with a rounded transparent clean coconut, joined by watery fruits and a touch of rose. Then peachy dominant joined by a MORE dewy rose ..ends in a woody pale vanilla. I am not smelling much oakmoss or anything else. Overall a sweet, lighty syrupy perfume throughout and to the end. Not really for men .
I put quite a lot on … I would say 3-5 sprays would give ample sillage.
Honestly for such a baroque name and packaging, the fragrance is a little lacking .
I have no doubt the materials are high quality ..you can smell it.
I am neutral in regards to this scent. It is not extraordinary but a fair offering. Abit pedestrian considering the money Kilian wants for this.
If you love this and you must buy it … buy the refill bottle .It comes with a pipette and a small glass spray bottle to decant into.

My first Kilian trial, pulled the trigger on LD sight unseen & un sniffed. Sadly I may have to return it as I’m not quite sure I can get past the dusty geranium rose jam type of scent. This is a real wrist huffer, I spritzed it once & it started fading out fast so I doubled it up on both wrists to really dive right in. I was hoping the rose & geranium notes would be very subtle, however on my skin they are really overpowering in this fragrance. I cannot decide if this is too much dusty powdery rose/ geranium for me, or if it’s going to be workable after the dry down. I want to try other Kilians hoping to find one that really wows me, I wouldn’t mind having a signature from this line. The box is cool, I love the lock & key, just don’t loose your key! It’s easy to see your paying quite a bit & the packaging is partly the culprit. The fragrance itself seems to be very high quality just in the fence with this one. There are a lot of components listed in the scent description, i’m just not getting because these notes are dominating. 🙁

This is my new holy grail fragrance. I love it in all of its stages, but the dry down is the absolute best. It is soft and creamy and comforting, but somehow manages to be unique. I do see the comparison to the old Burberry (which can be had for MUCH cheaper), but to me this smells like better quality. I do wish it lasted longer; I have the travel bottle and refills (plus the fabulous Juan Carlos at Saks Beverly Hills gave me tons of samples), so I spritz this liberally throughout the day. Pricey, but worth it IMHO.

As someone who normally has a vitriolic hatred of fruity florals/fruitchoulis, I think I finally found one in the genre that I can tolerate. Liaisons Dangereuses starts with a strong and spicy medley of rose and plum. The rose note is thick and heady without going powdery, and the plum is juicy rather than dry like most of the other plum perfumes I’ve tried. LD stays true throughout its incredibly long dry down, with just a bit more spice peeking out thanks to cinnamon and geranium notes. Not the kind of scent this leather lover normally gravitates to, but nice nonetheless, and one of the few Kilians I’d be willing to pry open my wallet for to have something different in my fragrance wardrobe. I definitely find them overpriced at $225 for 50ml and the lockable box, while nifty, is much too frou-frou for my tastes. However the bottle itself in-hand is heavy and well-crafted and IMO worth the expense, though I admit to being a sucker for clean, well-made packaging. Plus they’re refillable, and the cost is much more reasonable then but you have to have proof of owning a bottle before you’re allowed to buy a refill.

I just bought a bottle of this Dionysian love juice this past Friday at Aedes de Venustas here in NYC. Truth be told, I went in there to drop 3 c-notes and change on Amouage’s Lyric…sight unsniffed. I was in the mood to do something wildly indulgent, and what could be more bananas than buying a $300 bottle of parfum that the damn Sultan of Oman decreed be made? Anyways, turns out all of the Amouage stuff is too grown for me. Lyric was delicious, but I’m too young at 31 for that. Ditto for Jubilation and Dia. I asked for Liasaison Dangereuses by Kilian. Everyone on the blogs seem to dig it, and I was looking for something other than my usual wood shavings scent. I have always loved creamy sweet perfumes, when done right. I still LOVE Chanel Allure. Anyways, I ended up getting Liasisons Dangereuses by Kilian. It is so sweet and sexy. but still clean and light. And yet somehow warm like an intimate hug teetering between a good night, or a great morning. YUM! Definitely, a tool of seduction. If you’ve never been to Aedes de Venustas, it is an absolute must!! I’ve got half a mind to take a lover there on a date for the ages! Yea, you drop a mint in there but it’s SO worth it, Mama’s got a new vice. hehehehe =D

God I love this fragrance, and I loved from the moment it touched my skin. This one inspires slavish almost involuntary wrist sniffing, it’s delicious smelling- almost edible. When I stick my nose right on my wrist, it has a personal smell and the sillage is consistent with that up close sniff- it exudes something unique like the fragrance has become a part of me. Now on to the bad stuff. My husband found it “ok”, this a fragrance you wear for yourself. And then there is the price. I don’t mind spending big money on a fragrance if it is composed of quality materials and if I know the bottle will last. But with Liaisons Dangereuses I could imagine pulling the trigger indulgently and often. Longevity is an issue for me as my skin eats up fragrance, and this fragrance for the cost performs poorly in this regard. So for $225 for 50ml I’m going to have to pass as it would be too heartbreaking (and expensive) to hit the bottom of bottle.

I hate to bring a rating down but the most I can give this frag is a 2. I just do not get what all the hype about this one is. I have tried all the Kilians and I have found a few unique ones that I’d consider buying amongst them, but this one, probably the least unique. Gosh it has so many notes in the description I was really underwhwelmed when I actually put this on. Its like a soft peachy fruity scent….. and um….thats it! It kind of gets slightly more depth in the drydown but I mean slightly, I cannot tell there is sandalwood, vanilla, bourbon or oakmoss in this. And above all it smells alot like Que Viva Escada (a LE from years ago) which I also own, and its a soft pretty fruity melange just like this. There is no way EVER i would buy this perfume as it is just not original enough, and you know what, even if it was a cheaper scent by an affordable Dept store brand, I still don’t think enough of it to warrant buying it.

Fresh red rose note joined by ripe plum. Slight spiciness in the drydown and drydown is the best part of the fragrance. Rose note stays fresh throughout and doesn’t turn sour like some other rose fragrances I’ve tried. Long lasting. This is a substantial scent but would be a beautiful floral for summer.

I can see how some would like this. Personally, this is not my cup of tea. It smells like warm peaches and dirty sweaty sex. I do like the fact that it’s not too sweet. Only slightly so.

Oh I love this! Sexy dried fruit without being too sweet. A perfectly composed, well-rounded scent.
