Dark Cherry Orchid is a very cleverly done knockoff of VS Love Spell. I say this because I sniffed the bottle, brought it home, and used it for a couple of weeks before I even realized that it’s a Love Spell knockoff. It has the same “adult fruit punch” scent profile, but is somehow slightly “darker.” It’s not too sweet, not too tangy, and not cloyingly fruity; yet it lacks any distinct floral, woody, or musky notes. There’s definitely something outside the fruits grounding it, because it has a nice medium sillage, and lasts for a couple of hours. I have no idea how Bodycology pulled this ambrosia off, but I love it and get lots of compliments when I wear it. (Including from men – unheard of for me!) I’m happy that this product exists, because I’ve always enjoyed the bottle scent of Love Spell, yet been underwhelmed with how it turns out on my skin.
