I was looking for a night time fragrance. I don’t typically enjoy most night time fragrances as I find them to be too overpowering and very heavy. But I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I really love it. I don’t detect the notes that it’s marketed as….which is absolutely fine with me because I’m liking what I smell so far.
Another good night time fragrance to check out is Dior Poison. Doesn’t smell or remind me of this NEST Black Tulip FYI.
Definitely always recommend getting fragrance samples before committing to buying the full bottle

This is a really lovely scent from Nest, who generally make very pretty fragrances in my opinion. I don’t find this one to be particularly true to the notes listed, as to me it smells very similar to MMM Replica Lipstick On, though less powdery and a little bit more … purple. The plum is definitely there, but otherwise it is just kinda sexy without being cloying or overpowering. It is quite different than what I expected from the description, to be honest. I currently have a rollerball, but once that runs out I will get the full bottle. Because of the rollerball application it doesn’t last terribly long on me, but Nest fragrances usually do, so I am optimistic that it has similar longevity when sprayed. Of course the artwork on the bottle is gorgeous, and the scent inside definitely goes with the sultry yet feminine flowers on the packaging. While it smells nothing at all like tulips, it is gorgeous and unique to anything I own because it is dark without being heavy.

Bottle is very pretty, liked the idea of this scent but on me it turned into just patchouli. Really did not like that, wish it worked better with my body chemistry. Would not repurchase.

Deep, dark and fruity! The notes are supposed to be plum, pink pepper, violet and patchouli. While enjoyable, I got only fruit. Not particularly plum either, which can be on the fresh, lighter side. More like very ripe blackberries. It is sweet to the point of being gourmand, almost syrupy. I caught zero of the other notes mentioned. Definitely no patchouli. There’s a softness to this that may be attributed to the violet, so you could maybe say there is a powdery element to it. This would be pleasant to wear in the Spring, but sweet enough to be labeled “cozy” too. It isn’t loud and sticks close to the skin. It reminded me of a less screechy VS Scandalous. Pretty bottle and also comes in a roller ball. $72 USD for 1.7 fl oz is way in excess of what a pleasant, but for a relatively linear berry scent should be.
