A combination of herbal (Vetiver, Patchouli) and gourmand (nuts, cocoa powder, sugar) and a touch of spice. Nope it doesn’t exactly sound like a winning combination but somehow this works…and very well may I add! Don’t let that initial strong blast of Patchouli put you off as it quickly morphs into something very sweet and addictive, almost like a sophisticated Nutella spread, I cannot stop sniffing away at my wrist throughout the day. Silage and longevity are both great, 2 sprays is more than enough and I still catch whiffs of it 10-12 hours after spraying. Even if you do have the original Angel (as I do and have been in love with for many years), this is different enough to stand on its own and warrants a purchase. Slightly ‘heavy’ for summer when I tend to switch to fresher scents, this is a comforting, sweet fragrance that definitely works best in cooler weather.

Maybe my sense of smell is broken, but this smells a lot like the original Angel to me. Or at least what I remember from it. As I can’t stand Angel and its heavy patch, I’m going to have to pass on this.

I bought a small version of this a couple of months ago. Now, the only person who has complimented me on this scent is my mother but I’m not reading too much into that. Even if I were the only person that enjoyed this scent on me I would still wear it.
It is so soft, pretty and wearable. It is my “everyday scent”.

Many years ago (1990s) I wore Angel parfum and then I decided it was too strong and got away from it. Flash forward to present day and I stopped a lady in a restroom that had a delicious and light clean scent on and asked for a recommendation. She said it as Angel Muse and I went the same day and bought it. I’ve been loving it ever since. It does need to be reapplied throughout the day, but I like that it doesn’t start out strong and then linger. It starts out right and then gently fades, allowing you to decide when you need to apply more.

I’m definitely not an expert in describing fragrances, I just sniff, love, and wear????. Muse is so special, so woody, so creamy, and like a warm, cozy, but sexy sweater all in one.. After dry down I get a licorice smell, mixed with dark chocolate. I’ve had this less than a week, and don’t know how I ever lived without it in my collection❤.. The bottle is gorgeous as well, definitely recommend.

I could not resist writing a review. I am no expert at writing fragrance review so I’m going to do my best. I’m kind of still stuck in the 80s and for some reason my number one fragrance if I had to choose just one would be vintage poison. I have not yet after trying religiously found anything that works better on my skin then vintage poison. Now the rest of my perfume collection consist of mostly summertime Citrus type of smells because I kind of like perfumes on both ends of the spectrum there. I keep on trying the sweet ones that smell like candy and while they smell great in the bottle they don’t don’t ever project on me at all. This is no exception. I bought a sample of this one and it came today and I cannot stop applying it and then obsessively smelling my wrists. It smells so good and yummy. But like all sweet smelling perfumes like this they don’t last on me. I think it’s something to do with my skin because no one else seems to have these issues. After spraying that’s on my wrist it lasts for about 40 minutes it’s before there’s no trace of it at all. A half an hour after I put it on the first time I asked my boy to smell my neck to see if he could smell it and he smelled nothing. He’s 12. So while it is incredibly beautiful and delicious and I want to smell like this I can’t really achieve the goal personally. Not unless I plan on reapplying this perfume every hour. So even after saying all these things I’m still considering purchasing a full size bottle just because it’s stunning. It is the best smelling thing on earth. It just smells like everything delicious is that you would eat at a fair. I smell caramel strongly and a cotton candy scent and it’s just incredible. I just wish that it projected on me and lasted on my skin. I’m about to make a trip to TJ Maxx since everyone’s talking about finding things like this for cheap prices. Maybe I’ll get lucky. I have been getting pretty nice deals on fragrancenet.com. seems like I have a continuous flow of orders coming in from that website. Right now I have a bunch of stuff in my cart then I’m trying to narrow down. I don’t have much shopping availability where I live. While there is a TJ Maxx there is no Mall in the middle of the mountains of West Virginia. Therefore most everything is a blind buy

I never tried the og Angel though I want too. I wanted to try this because I wanted a scent with vetiver. This with the hazelnut note that to me smells more like a creamy chocolate is divine. I think this is a cool weather scent so I only wear this when the ac is on so I do get to enjoy this. I’m looking forward to the colder months to wear it. I think it smells amazing and if you’re into gourmonds this is an awesome one.
The vetiver with the chocolate smells so good. The patchouli note is actually gorgeous and not like the 90’s oil i used to wear. I think this is a delicious chocolate with spices and I adore it. I purchased this for a reasonable price and find this lasts on my skin forever and had great sillage. I have 4 Mugler scents and I love them this house makes amazing scents if you ask me.

This is beautiful, sexy, creamy, warm and yummy! I used to love Angel – but then it turned very angry smelling on me. I’ve tried on and off…just a no. So, recently I decided to smell and try Muse…ummmm this is basically how Angel used to smell on me…give or take same notes. I don’t smell the woods/pine and too much patchouli anymore. Yahhoooooo!! And I found it at Marshall’s for $29.99 for a 1oz. Ulta, Sephora, Macy’s same size is $70….deal breaker!!

When I heard my signature/all time favourite perfume, Mugler Womanity would be discontinued I was really upset. I know it was a ‘love it or hate it’ kind of scent, but for me it was definitely the former, I got the most compliments ever (from guys too) when I wore that.
Anyway, I first tried Angel Muse at the airport a year ago, at that time I felt like it was too similar to the original Angel, which on me doesn’t really work. Then I tried it last week again and this time I fell in love. Yes, you can definitely tell its origin, but it is more gourmand and in my opinion more unique than Angel and also more wearable since it’s not that sugary sweet.
Muse’s lasting power is not that excellent as Womanity’s was, but I don’t think anything will ever top that for me unfortunately. My only other small complaint would be the bottle. Although it is beautiful, the fact that it cannot stand (unless you buy the biggest size) is a bit annoying.
It is still too early to tell but I might have just found my new signature scent.

This is like the more easy-going little sister of Angel, I think. I have just gotten a sample of this (while I own and enjoy a full size bottle of Angel), so I feel like I’ve not completely figured the scent out yet. But at first whiff of this scent I found myself thinking “this is all the good from Angel, rearranged into something slightly less complex but equally lovely”. I think it’s more day wear than Angel is, and I am seriously tempted to purchase this and have Angel be my evening scent from now on.
Angel and Angel Muse is similar enough that they have the Mugler stamp all over the scent, yet not so similar that it’s unnecessary to own both (in my opinion). Even my mother, who’s slightly sceptical about Angel and usually keeps to pretty straight forward fruity and/or flowery scents found Angel Muse to be amazing.
It is, like Angel, quite pricey, but it’s so potent and long-lasting, not to mention such a unique scent that I think it’s worth the price.
The one con: When I bought Angel I was under the impression that Mugler was a cruelty free brand. After doing more research I’m not so sure anymore. I have reached out to them and am waiting for an answer, but the fact that they are owned by Clarins which is not a CF brand makes me worried Mugler won’t be either..
Edit: got a reply stating that Mugler does sell in China, so not CF sadly.
