UPDATE 10-6-18: I wanted to give this foundation another try without applying moisturizer underneath but using only sunscreen prior to application. Results were a softer finish, more coverage and longer wear time. Unfortunately the color “Nude” 105 is just way off and I look washed out.
— I wanted to love this liquid, creamy foundation as I have been using powder foundations for several years. For reference, I have mature skin and my complexion is smooth with a few forehead lines, no scars or discoloration. I was looking for a foundation with some coverage and a demi-matte finish. Upon application, the foundation proved very light to medium coverage and emphasized facial fuzz I did not know I had. The dewy satin finish morphed into a sheen after wearing a several hours and the shade “Nude” was off but wearable. Something in the ingredient list caused my skin to be red after several hours, hence it may not be for sensitive skin. Will remain with MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Foundation that is non-irritating and applies flawlessly over my moisturizer.

I’ve been a fan of their face creams for a long time but I’ve never tried their makeup until I saw a makeup artist use this foundation on YouTube and I thought it was just what I was looking for. A good medium coverage foundation (I haven’t tried but it would be very easy to get full coverage)) for normal to dry skin, with a luminous finish and with good staying power. It looks beautiful on the skin and the staying power is also good considering it’s a luminous foundation. I will definitely be repurchasing. It does have a fragrance.

I’ve used Clarins for many years now and have tried most of their products, this isn’t their best or worst, it’s average.
Coverage is medium with a velvet finish, makes your skin look soft and youthful. This foundation is particularly aimed at older women because of its ability to go on nice and soft and make your skin look even and tight. I use my fingers to apply it and it goes on smoothly, but it is important to blend it as it is a thick foundation. This foundation has a nice velvet finish but it needs setting if you are oily or live in a hotter climate as it will become greasy looking quite quickly without it. The package is a nice pump and glass bottle, and the scent is okay but goes away quickly so its no issue.

I really like this foundation. I have the shade 107 beige and matches me perfectly (Im nc 25) . For my dry skin this foundation is a pleasure to use, Its 100% buildable . You use a small amount and you get a light coverage, you use another layer and you can get up to almost foul coverage. it has really nice finish its not matte to the point it feels dry on my skin neither oily to the point that my skin feels wet, its the perfect medium really gives a luminous fresh look to my skin. Glides and applies effortlessly on the skin feels light and looks natural. It doesn’t set in fine lines and wrinkles neither make my pores more visible. the only downside is that it doesnt last long it rubs off relatively easily . I can get 4 hours out if it but then I have to reapply in some areas like my chin that I have the tendency to touch frequently . It photographs impressively well and really looks like skin and not like layers of product

This is a very good foundation. The beige shade is a lovely, slightly cool neutral, perfect match for my NW25 tone. The coverage is a perfect medium, the finish is a subtle dewy and it lasts well. The only thing that lets it down is the fragrance which is a little overpowering. All in all though, very impressed and I have tried many foundations.

I currently use this foundation for everyday wear. Medium coverage, strong smell, average price. It’s hard for me to find one that doesn’t break me out so I may repurchase this if I cannot find an alternative however it’s just above average for me.

Picked this up at a bargain price of £8.99 from TK Maxx. I got the 03 soft Ivory colour which is a perfect match to my fair, cool toned skin. Strangely it also matches well with my summer tanned skin too, one of the reasons I love it so much as I can use it year round & it always looks great! It glides on silky smooth (I always use a primer, Lanacaine anti-chafing gel, best primer EVER!) so not sure how it goes on without & I don’t waste my time (or product) using sponges/brushes, just one squirt, rub hands together, smear onto face & blend! I am always left with a perfectly even result, no patches or streaks & no dryness or hint of caking whatsoever. Coverage is medium. It’s easily layered (those pesky red patches!) & gives a dewy glow that any 20 year old would be proud of (I’m 43). Is it extra firming? I can’t say for sure, but my Husband ALWAYS tells me I look 35 when I’m wearing this (& a little MAC finishing powder to set it) & he doesn’t know which foundation I’ve chosen to wear that time, so it must be doing something good! I think it doesn’t necessarily firm the skin, but it doesn’t settle into the wrinkles & lines or the dry skin around my nose, whis is what can age you with a foundation. The scent is rather strong in a foundation, but I personally love it, it’s like a sophisticated, grown up version of baby lotion scent & it soon wears down. I’ve been known to be sensitive to certain products, but this causes me no problems at all. I have already re-purchased another 2 bottles from Ebay as I understand they’ve now changed the formula as well as the packaging (this is a glass bottle with a pump, looks sexy, but impractical) just in case the new formula isn’t as good.

I’m on my 2nd bottle of this and still unsure if it’s my HG foundation. It’s good- but is it perfect? No- there’s something not quite right.
Pros
-Medium-full coverage
-Dewy-satin finish
-Nice creamy consistency feels comfortable on the skin
Cons
-Highly perfumed
-Not much staying power unless you use powder
-Shades not quite right for me
The texture of this is creamy and has medium to full coverage.
I’m using Ivory 103 but find it a shade too dark on my forehead and half a shade too dark on my cheeks. In Bobbi Brown I use Porcelain and Ivory inthis foundation is darker than that. It’s also quite pink toned so it makes my skin look slightly dull and ashen. I am more a neutral skin tone.
I notice there is a review here and the shade Pale Ivory 102 is mentioned- not sure if this is a typo or if a paler shade is available in other countries? if so, I’d buy a paler shade.
If there was one shade lighter in this then it would be perfect – if they ditched the perfume too- which is quite an overpowering smell that clashes with your own perfume if you wear any.

I used to love this foundation, before the reformulation. I wore it for years, a lighter shade in winter and one shade darker for summer. People used to tell me I had peaches-and-cream skin when I wore it, and paired with Clarins’ cream blush it was awesome. Then Clarins decided to change the formula and add sodium benzoate as preservative in this, which I’m allergic to. I bought a bottle anyway and tried it on my chin. My skin swelled up instantly and became bright red. So sadly, this wonderful, creamy, dewy foundation is no longer for me. 🙁

In fact this is very firming and plumping. I won’t purchase again as I am only 30 but for those who have more mature skin, this is by all means perfect. My colour is 109 (NC30) and is great. Full coverage but with dewy subtle finish, very hard to achieve with many foundations. Highly pigmented so you only need a small amount.
