This is one of the few foundations that gives me a natural look and evens out my skin tone and brightens it too. I wore it for 12+ hours and it held up pretty good. Needed to set it with powder as it leaves a tacky feel. Definitely will buy it again.

I’ve been using this foundation for nearly 12 weeks. At first I noticed it had great coverage. It went on smooth and smelled nice.
Halfway through my work day I started noticing my pores were extremely visible! I researched and found a primer to go with it. Gave it a go, but found the make up would cake in the corners of my nose and sit too thick in several places. Researched- bought new foundation brush. I’ve tried really hard to make this work-but I find by the end of the day it feels like I have clay on my-now- extremely oily face. Awful product. I hate to waste, so I will bear it through the end of the tube, but I’m done.

I am 50 years old and have been trying to find the foundation for the last 2 years to adapt to changes in my skin.My daughter’s friend works at Sephora or Ulta one of them and she recommended it. I absolutely love this. Great coverage, long lasting and I haven’t had a problem with my face being shiny after 2 hours. I highly recommend.

This is the big girl foundation! When it’s properly applied it creates a gorgeous, long-lasting finish that looks natural and fresh all day. When it’s not properly applied, it’s a cakey, streaky nightmare. To get that perfected finish, I use a rich, oil free moisturizer to prime my face, then I apply this foundation with the Bare Minerals Complexion Perfector Brush. The key is to use a precision brush with a tapered tip to get a smooth coverage around the nose and eyes. The thing to remember with this foundation is this: less is more! A tiny little dab (think lentil size) on my foundation brush gives me the perfect amount of coverage and looks great. If I use a beauty blender or similar type sponge, it just doesn’t blend right for me. While I love this foundation very much, it takes time and some effort to get it on right. It’s not the kind of foundation I can throw on quickly in the morning and run out the door. The high quality coverage, natural looking finish and long-lasting wear-ability makes this foundation well worth the effort in my opinion, but I still keep a quick and easier-to-blend foundation as backup for times when I need to get out the door in a hurry.

This foundation is my worst enemy right now. I want to love it but i cant.
Its a very full coverage foundation, very thick and tacky, sets really fast so you gotta blend fast but that’s not easy. I’ve tried various tool to do this and the most effective one was the clarisonic foundation brush and it was flawless. Beautyblender can’t even sheer out this foundation and it looked a bit cakey. Good luck using any normal brushes i tried and failed. If you have some texture on your skin you absolutely want a primer before this. Didn’t last long on my combo/oily skin without powder but looks cakey with powder. Let’s just say i had better foundations than this one. Oh and for the unforgiving coverage you can’t only have so many shades. I’m winter 2w2 in DW light tan in this foundation in summer.

I am super thrilled with this foundation, and it’s partly because, on me, it’s nothing like it was described to me by the SA in Duane Reade (in one of those Look Boutique things some of them have). I was told it was a super full coverage, waterproof, matte foundation for face and body. As such, even though I have seen it a few times in store and looked at it, I steered clear of it, having dry skin myself. But the ingredients intrigued me (retinol, lactic acid, etc.). My curiosity finally got the better of me and I swatched the two lightest shades, porcelain and light. The sucky thing is that there are only five or six shades total, and the jump between porcelain and light is pretty dramatic. If I had to hazard a guess, I would say porcelain is about N10 to barely NW15, whereas Light is a definite N20 or darker. Not quite N25 but there is a very clear shade gap between the two. Porcelain being way too light for my NC15 to NC20 skin, I opted for the Light shade, knowing it may turn out to be a smidge too dark, which it was, but determined to make it work. Now that I have it, I may get the porcelain to mix with it. But I digress.
The formula is quite thick. I blend it out with my fingers and right off the bat I get a good medium coverage. And it is surprisingly moisturizing on my very dry skin. It doesn’t accentuate a single flake, doesn’t sit in any pores and evens out any texture issues. It is also quite buildable so I can add coverage to any breakouts I may be experiencing. Depending on what I wear underneath it, the finish goes from satin to downright dewy, but it never looks oily on me. I don’t know how this would do on oily skin though. I’ve seen some YouTube reviews where oily skinned people raved about how good it was, and then some who declared it deplorable for oil control. It doesn’t get caky, it doesn’t break up or melt away, even when I sweat. Just be warned though, I feel like it doesn’t set. Ever. Even with powder and setting spray. I think that’s why my dry skin likes it. It makes my skin look perpetually hydrated. Which means if I blot sweat, I’m fine, but wiping it will wipe away the foundation. But droplets of sweat running down my face won’t make the foundation run down my face too, for which I’m grateful. As long as I can blot and move on with my face intact, I can live with its inability to set. As for wear time, I can wear it the whole day and look decent at the end of a 12 hour shift. It claims to be a 12 hour foundation and I think that’s realistic on certain skin types. Again, I’m not sure that would be the case for everyone, particularly if you have oily skin.
For $39 you get 1.5 Oz of product, which is 50% more than the standard quantity. So price wise it’s worth it to me. This is the first product from Pur I’ve ever tried, and I’m suitably impressed. I’m very happy I finally had the courage to buy this.
