There are lots of foundations that work for me. I jumped on this train out of curiosity. One of my recents is Beleive Cosmetics from Dollar Tree. Smooth, creamy, excellent color match, I use very little for full coverage. $5.00! No really. Three foundations later from the Jouer line, it still is terribly oxidized looking even after thinning and blending and brushing. I’ve never had a foundation emphasis my skin texture like this one does and at 60, I’m very proud of the smoothness of my skin and it still has bounce. This foundation makes me look 80. Disappointed, horrible, seems to float on top of the skin. For this price point, I expect much more. I’ll stick with CC creams, Cover FX and my Believe.

I have verrrry oily skin and this is the only foundation that works for me! I normally get oily within a few hours but I can last the majority of the day without needing to blot or powder. This is a very expensive foundation when you work out the ML per ££ however I do find that one pump (one and a half at most) is enough to cover your whole face and when I say cover I mean FULL coverage. It can make your skin look like a mask if not careful, especially around acne, so I do tend to use only one pump. With this foundation I don’t need to wear concealer either and I don’t have any other foundations in my collection (or that I’ve ever used) where I haven’t needed to spot conceal as I have acne and alot of acne scarring. I will say that I can understand some reviews saying it is awfully drying as I have incredibly oily skin and it leaves me matte with next to no bits of shine after 8-10 hour wear so I can imagine if you have any dry patch at all this will cling to it and look horrific.
I would recommend this foundation to anyone who hasn’t found one that works for very oily skin.

I absolutely hate this foundation. I have bought and returned so many bottles trying to color match, the descriptions on Sephora’s website are horribly misleading, why they are selling this online only is beyond me. My last attempt to color match was the color Pebble, OMG, definitely not! This color makes me look like a banana, it is pure yellow! It doesn’t look that way in the bottle but definitely applies that way IRL.
Let’s talk formula, this stuff is definitely full coverage, very thick (too thick), and matte. So full and complete is the coverage that it reminds me of clown makeup, which is how my first bottle looked! The second bottle was too pink, the third orange and now yellow…why is the description saying neutral when everything I have received is anything but neutral. Wish I could just take this back and get a refund and be done with it, but I have lost the original packaging and don’t think Sephora will allow me to return without it even though the bottle is almost full, minus one application (that was immediately wiped off).
I am glad that some have found their color match and like the makeup, I guess I have grown away from the heavy coverage and like a more natural look. Also, something to consider is the price, this is only 0.68 oz and not a full oz, which most foundations are…so when you do the math this is pretty expensive.

I’m in love with this foundation! And, I managed to get a good color match after trial and error (which was way different than what I originally expected it to be based on the description = you MUST order the samples and swatch your heart out because this foundation should not be ordered sight unseen!).
This is Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer Foundation level coverage, but it isn’t as thick and has way more color options. It is dryer than the KASSEF, though, so make sure to exfoliate, moisturize and prime, too, if you must.
I look flawless and it isn’t moving! I’m a performer who sweats a LOT! So, full coverage foundation that looks natural and doesn’t budge or, knock on wood so far, break me out in 50 shades (2 – TWO – of which I could easily wear), I’m in! I was going to buy more KASSEF, but then I’d have to purchase 8 or 11 AND 12 and MIX ($100)! So, I decided to try this and I’m so glad I did! YouTube swatches helped, but still didn’t do enough for me to get the perfect shade. I would have thought I’d be Bronzed, which isn’t a bad match, but it turns out I’m Golden Sand (which should really be in the tan category in my opinion as it is quite close to Bronzed but more yellow/golden, which is exactly what I need).
I got the combo of foundation and brush (which I didn’t need since I have a full set of Artis brushes), but this one has a point and with 20% off and few shipping, the combo was cheaper than the foundation alone! They seem to have a lot of discount codes and ways to get them. #Winning
For color reference, I wear the following…:
MAC – NC42/43/44 (depending on the formula)
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick/ SKIN LONG-WEAR WEIGHTLESS FOUNDATION SPF 15
— Golden Natural (center of face)/Golden Honey (mixed/center/perimeter) – my BEST color matches, PERIOD.
NARS Weightless – Stromboli & Tahoe Mix (or, now, Valencia which they will hopefully add to the other lines – and, I may still add a drop of Stromboli for a slightly more yellow/olive undertone depending on my skin and season – only Bobbi ever seems yellow enough in tan and deeper tones)
Becca – Bamboo (slightly too yellow/dark in application, but ends up closely matching my body – both are rare!)
Kat Von D – Medium 62 (too warm/orange)
Black Up Full Coverage Cream – #2 & #3 (neither is perfect)
Alima W5/G6 mix
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick & Liquid – 410 Bisque W (good undertone, too light – center of face only) / 415 Bisque W – which could be more yellow, but is a good match
Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick – Caramel (too oily for Spring/Summer)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation – Caramel (great match, breaks me out – RETURNED)
Black Opal Foundation Stick – Rich Caramel (too dark, not yellow enough, gorgeous finish, breaks me out)
Cover FX Power Play Foundation – G+50 / G+60 mixed (looks good, brand me out terribly)
Fenty Pro Filt’r – #310 – a pretty good match and great for every day natural looking wear… Slightly too warm
Jouer Essential High Coverage Creme Foundation – Golden Sand is really good. I could maybe get away with Bronzed if I had no choice, but it isn’t quite yellow enough.
Sephora Color ID#: 3Y08, 3Y09, 4Y08, 4Y09 and sometimes a 10 in both as the system isn’t full proof and different formula wear and oxidize differently.
Color description: I am very yellow/golden tan, plus olive undertones with some warmth. Fun. Right. Lol.
***UPDATE***
I started noticing added texture, my skin drying out and the color match wasn’t nearly as close as I’d like. Maybe I should have gotten bronze, but, it didn’t seem quite warm enough…????♀️
Removed one lippie for these reasons. This is a special occasion foundation now and I will not use it regularly for the sake of my skin. I had the exact same issue with another foundation (Cover FX Power Play), only it was worse and because it gave me tiny under skin bumps with every use, I had to discontinue altogether when it was too late to return…ugh!

This foundation is definitely full coverage, long lasting, and smear proof (think bullet proof). Upon first application it feels similar to Lancôme Teint Idole. It wears about the same as-well but more matte finish. Its a bit watery as compared to other foundation and as a result, dries fast. I have to apply this in sections, first with a brush and then afterward with a beauty blender or real technique sponge. Once this foundation goes on, its not moving at all. I purchased the bundle which came with an artiste brush (which I have yet to use) and paid about $49 in total. Shipping was super fast. I had the product delivered to my front door within two days. Really good follow through . I will update this post as I’m wearing this product more.

I had high hopes for this product. It started off well.
Pro:
Very full coverage, you don’t need more than 2 pumps and it blends in well.
Cons:
-After a couple of hours, its started to have weird patches, almost like dry patches on different parts of my face.
-Don’t dare touch your face because it will leave a mark
-Overall, it just doesn’t look as nice as you expect it to look.
Such a disappointing product. I will not buy it again, I won’t even accept If someone was willing to give it to me for free! That’s how bad it is.

Absolutely love this foundation!!
Im quite fair skinned and i bought it in Alabaster which is extremely pale, and Pearl – i preferred the Pearl.. Im about NC15.
The coverage on this is INSANE!
It even covers a mole up on my face I’ve always had, nothing else has ever done that, a little goes a very very long way so you need the tiniest amount. It stays looking flawless all day.
I found its better without a setting spray, as this can sometimes seem to break the foundation up a bit on my chin, I’ve learnt this from wearing it 2 weeks solid.
It definitely wears 100% better without. I didn’t get oily, love the shade and will definitely repurchase!!!!!

A horrible foundation that has great coverage but the way it looks and feels on the skin is not worth it, its thin and blends nicely but i find that it looks like cement on your skin and looks so mask like and extremely artificial because of how full coverage it is, i dont care much for the natural look but this even for me looks too much and looks very heavy on skin and clings on to nose pores and dry patches around my mouth. It doesnt last well and after a few hours my skin looks like a scarecrow has poured paint all over it.
A little does go a very long way so you dont need very much to build up coverage or get a complete blank canvas but i would highly recommend prepping your skin thoroughly, please carry a mirror around with you so you can constantly check your base as a few hours you will need to review if the public can see you looking this horrific because of how scarey this foundation will make you look later on.
This is not a joke, please try this foundation on when you are at home so you can judge if you can actually wear it when out as it breaks down so badly.

The Jouer Essential High Coverage Creme foundation has beautiful packaging. When I received in the mail, I took a deep breath to admire its beauty. I had heard so many youtubers talk about this product being amazing, so I was super excited to try it.
Unfortunately, I was left with disappointment. It was not at all what I was expecting and I regret purchasing from a website in which it is difficult to make returns. First off, let’s start with the positives. It IS extremely full coverage and hides all my blemishes completely. I don’t have to use concealer because it masks everything, even my undereye circles. It dries down to a beautiful matte finish, doesn’t oxidize, and doesn’t dry too fast where you have to rush to blend.
For the negatives, it is not transfer proof and every time I would lightly touch my face, a lot of foundation comes off. You also don’t get that much product for the price point. In comparison to other full coverage products, this is very, very expensive. However, my main problem with it is that it does make my skin look very, very textured. It accentuates every pore, fine line (which I didn’t realize I had), and dry patches. I usually can get matte products to work on my dry skin, but this just did not work at all.

I was looking for a full coverage foundation that could replace my Estee Lauder Double wear. This foundation is tiny bit cheaper than EL and I was hoping this would be better than Estee Lauder Maximum Coverage Double wear. This is very light formula compared to EL Maximum Coverage. I had high hopes for this foundation.
Jouer Cosmetics on their website allow you to get all 17 shades free, but you have to pay shipping. This foundation is not carried in local stores, so I went this route. The free samples are very pretty packaging and I like the range of shades. I selected Fawn to try on. At first it was too light, but it started to oxide and was the right color match. The formula is very watery and runny. I was not expected that so I did lose a tiny amount of product, but I was able to capture it on the beauty blender and use it.
The free samples do not have a lot of product in the sample size and to be honest with you … I was not able to cover my entire face, so I focused on my problem areas and use EL on the perimeter of my face.
This is more coverage than my EL with one application, but that is pretty much all the good I can say.
This does feel very light weight and airy on the face at first. And it does look good on the face, but at the 5 hour mark this foundation really started to look greasy and separate around my nose and fill into my fine lines and pores. At 7 hours, I wanted to just take this off my face because the oils are coming to the surface and not looking very pretty, but from across the room the formula looks dewy and very pretty. Just don’t get too close!
I also apply my foundation to my eyelids as a primer. EL keeps my eyeshadow in place and my eyeliner does not crease or budge. This formula, my eyelids got super greasy and shiny, all my eyeshadow and liner was creasing and transferring.
Performance wise, this is not a long lasting foundation. For $4 difference, I will be sticking with EL.
