My pale skin gets even more pale in winter, I bought 130 Porcelain instead of my usual 110 Ivory that is a hint too dark right now, that was a huge mistake. The 130 is jaundice in a bottle, I swear it didn’t look that yellow in the store. I have tried to thin it out with other foundations and the yellow prevails, what a waste of money.
I’m not sure what’s going on with my face lately, but reading reviews here makes me wonder if it’s the Colorstay, if they changed the ingredients. I should not have skin this cranky at age 49, it’s worse than when I was in high school. More makeup to cover cranky skin, more problems caused by more makeup, it’s a losing battle.

This stuff made me look like I had a mask on and it was very unnatural looking no matter how carefully applied. The pump broke after just two uses so it went into the trash where it belonged to start with. A big disappointment and total waste of money. There are many much more affordable drug store products out there!!!

Horrible! It’s a dry, cakey, & mask looking foundation. My skin looked old, tight, & just nasty. Plus it broke my face out. Worst drugstore foundation on earth.

I never purchase this product again. It make my skin feel heavy and cakey, even though I moisturized. I hate it.

I registered JUST to be able to write this review. This reformulation has completely ruined what was an amazing product. It was the only drug store product I liked even better than it’s pricier counterparts.
The new formulation dries out, cakes up, settles in lines and causes whiteheads. So incredibly disappointed!
Back on the search for a new foundation. Such a shame!

This worked on me when I was closer to normal/oily but since becoming a dry to very dry skin type, I just can’t use it anymore.
Pros:
– doesn’t need to be set, dries to a powder finish
– awesome shade range for light/medium skin tones. I’m a light olive and 150 buff is a perfect match in winter.
– very reasonably priced
– simple pump packaging
– good coverage (medium-full) if that’s what you’re looking for
Cons:
– too drying for dry skin
– looked flaky and emphasized dryness and texture
– felt uncomfortable and “tight” to wear because it was so dry
– after a while (~5 months), it seemed to dry up in the bottle and tiny clumps would be pumped out along with the foundation
Bottom line: if you have normal/combo skin this might work for you, but stay far, far away if you have a dry skin type prone to flaking or dry patches.

This has has been my hands down favorite *everyday* liquid foundation for about 4 1/2 years now. Maybe even more. In order to get the perfect shade for my skin I really like to mix the Combo/oily 250 fresh beige with a small pump of normal/dry 110 ivory. I HIGHLY recommend applying this with the Tarte Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush. It literally blends out so easy, and smooth giving a FLAWLESS finish in just a few seconds. I usually finish up with a loose mineral powder to set on top, and I couldn’t be happier.
Pros
Medium coverage
Lasts at least 8hrs without primer or setting spray
You can buy this online for roughly $10.00
Come in shades of BOTH normal/dry – combo/oily !!
A wide variety of shades
No weird smell
Cons
If you have combo skin like me, it can start to get a tad oily towards the end of the day.

I had used the Colorstay foundation for oily skin for many years and was happy with it. As my skin is aging, I recently bought the same foundation for dry skin. Big mistake. I break out like a teenager. It still has great coverage and coverage is buildable, when needed, but I can’t use this foundation. The pump bottle is great. Sad to leave a negative review.

Personally, I use this foundation for dance competitions so don’t ask me what the colour matching is like because I have it a few shades too dark for me!! But aside from that, the foundation has really good coverage and makes my face a blank canvas for my makeup. It’s easy to apply, I just use a flat brush. Easy to blend out too; especially as I am using a darker colour and blending it down, it looks seamless. Using very small amounts of this darker shade I also managed to get it to match my fake tan for a party. Only one complaint, once I apply powder it can look a little bit cakey, but nothing too bad at all. Overall this is a very good foundation with excellent coverage!!

I liked it… I got this during the summer time so I had a nice tan. I can’t remember which shade I got tho… It was easy to apply, the coverage was good, the formula is not heavy at all. A negative thing was that it has a very fine shimmer in it… so I wouldn’t use it in winter because I get really pale… the shimmer is nice for the summer and it is barely noticeable. It wears really niche through the day. I liked it, again, I think it a “summer time foundation.”
