I’m allergic to this stuff. Gritty, red, watery, sore eyes result. My lenses looked really clean & felt moist, but my tears eventually provided extra lubrication. Not for me, and V expensive.

I will start out this review by giving the pros and cons of this product, then give my overall thoughts.
Pros:
High Quality
Highly recommended
Thorough cleansing
No stinging
Keeps eyes moisturized
Stores contacts well
Comes in various-sized bottle
Has a complete TSA-approved set for flights
Cons:
Solid-colored bottle
Expensive
Overall Thoughts:
I’ve been using this contact lens solution for at least 10 years and I can honestly say that this is THE BOMB!!! It does’t sting. It keeps moisture in your eyes. It cleans your lenses very thoroughly. The only thing I hate is that it is expensive.
I’ve used this solution with Acuvue Oasys, CooperVision Sofmed Breathables and currently with Bausch & Lomb Soflens Multi-Focal.
I’m currently using Renu Fresh, and it does work well. No stinging. Thorough cleaning of lenses. Clear bottle so you can keep track of the amount of solution you have, The only reason why I bought it is because the big bottle was on sale for $2! You rarely find a name-brand solution for that! This will definitely stay my 2nd choice if Opti-Free Replenish isn’t available.
The only other downside of this solution is that the bottle is not clear.
I have used several others. The Berkley and Jensen’s version at BJ’s Warehouse is a quality solution, and very cost-effective. Walmart brands are ok.
Lastly, I give 5-plus stars to anyone that is searching for a high-quality contact lens solution. Run-don’t walk- to the store and pick up a small bottle just to try it out. I guarantee when that small bottle runs out, you’ll be going back for more!

I’ve been wearing contact lenses for over half my life. I’ve tried pretty much every contact lens solution on the market. This is one I always go back to. It’s no rub and really helps to lock in moisture and recondition your lenses. My one gripe is I’ve always felt like contact lens solution in general is a little overpriced for what it is… this one is $5.99 for a 4 oz bottle. I’ve never had problems with the packaging or the product itself.

This is hands down the best contact solution ever. It’s the only one I use. I can wear my contacts for 2 days in a row without any cloudiness, burning, itching or discomfort. (I don’t recommend doing that though. Sometimes I forget to take my contacts out at night because that’s how comfortable this solution makes them!) I remember when I use to use other brands like Bio True and I couldn’t wear my contacts for more than 6 hours without cloudiness and discomfort. I’m so happy with this product. Many times I forget that i’m even wearing contacts. Everyone who wears contacts need to use this solution.

I’ve tried cheaper brands (sorry, cannot recall the name), and although I think they worked almost as well, I didn’t like the strong saline smell.
I’ve also tried bio-true (because the packaging was so cute and my friend used it) but it really left my eyes dry at the end of the day, and it requires more care to use this solution with soft contacts.
So time and time again, I’ve found myself coming back to Opti-Free Replenish. It keeps my eyes comfortable and I found it does not take as long to rinse the the contacts (generally I don’t need to with this brand). Unfortunately, the price tag is a bit more pricey than other brands, but I still love it…

So I have been using Opti-free Replenish Contact Lens Solution for a while now and i really like it and recommend it to all contact lens users. One of the first things that i like is that it is multi-purpose so it cleans, reconditions, disinfects, and stores lenses. It is also a great contact solution because it is great for contact lens users with dry eyes. I personally have dry eyes and can wear my contact lens past 12 hours without discomfort or re-wetting them. It is safe for eye contact but do not put it directly in your eye because it was not made for that and there are Opti-free Re-wetting Eye Drops. I do not think it will cause any harm but it is better to be safe than sorry. Overall i really like this contact lens solution and if you are having problems with your current contact lens solution i would highly recommend Opti-free Replenish Contact Lens Solution!

I developed a major allergy to ReNu after about 15 years of using it and was thankful to find out that it wasn’t my contacts causing the problem but my solution! The doctor gave me this to try and I became ecstatic because there was no more painful itching and blurriness. I was completely doubtful that changing solution would make a difference and was sure I’d have to give up my contacts and look like a bespectacled librarian forever. It’s a little pricier but worth it. I love Optifree! I ain’t ever goin’ back.
EDIT: Update. Developed an allergy to this too. Switched to Opti-Free Pure Moist for about a year now. So far, so good.

Interesting review…I thought for sure you were just rating it on contact lense solution alone. How interesrting! All I know is it is the best solution I’ve ever used. Never burns!

I do love this contact cleaner for my contacts, keeps them nice an moist w/out any burn. BUT what i use this for isnt always for my contacts, i use this to darken eye shadows or to make eye liners out of my eye shadows. So instead of just using water i use this.
Pros:
-darkens and intensifies eye shadows
-helps to make eye shadow stay on all day
-disinfects your eye shadows and brush your using Vs. using water alone
– dosnt irritate skin
-no burning, even if accidentally gets in eye, cuz duhh its ment for your eye anyways
-can turn eye shadows into eyeliner easily with this
– gonna last me forever! the bottle is huge! lol
Cons:
nothing 😀
i know that i can just use water too, but i just like that fact that its cleaning my make up.
