I picked up these magnetic lashes quite some time back but was intimidated by them. False lashes and I have never been best friends so I thought maybe the magnetic style would be easier for me to manage. Are they? Yes, and no. I watched a few you tube videos on these and application tips and tricks but it seems the easiest way is just to use a magnifying mirror and your fingers. No special tool or tweezers needed. I got this style in what is called the accent which is a little narrower strip. The lashes are still quite lengthy but the entire strip is not as wide as the double wispies pictured here. The directions are clear and easy to follow. It does take a few tries to get the hang of it and the curvature of these needed to be a little stronger as 2 sets of magnets the inner and the middle set are close to the base of my lashes and fit well. The outer set though are a little farther out and it’s because the lash band does not curve as much as my natural eye does. I am not an expert on false lashes so maybe there is a trick to fix that I don’t know of. I finally got these on in only 4 tries for 1 side and 2 on the other and I like how easy they were attach. Once I got them off though and took them apart, I couldn’t tell which one was for under and which was for over. I guess it doesn’t matter as I reapplied them and they seem ok. They feel slightly heavy and at first it was really noticeable, but after wearing them for about a few hours now, I don’t really feel them as much, but I can see that little magnet at the top and it looks like a little black speck in my field of view right at the upper edge. I guess I will get used to that and not even notice it after time. Right now, it does seem a little annoying but I can’t really feel the lashes as much and they are mostly comfortable. I don’t think I could handle wearing these all day though so I still don’t know if false lashes are right for me, but at least I finally managed to make a friend with these and they are on and don’t look dorky and they appear to be fitting well enough. These are re-usable so I can get my money’s worth from them. I paid around $14 for this set and that is about the same as a tube of drugstore mascara so the price isn’t bad. I don’t know if they will last 3 months though like a tube of mascara would, and they weren’t as fast for me as simply putting on a couple of coats of mascara is. Even with these, the directions are to put on a coat of mascara first, so it isn’t like you are getting to skip a step and get out the door faster. This is not a timesaver. It does give me super long beautiful lashes without the Vegas showgirl look. I mean you can still tell I have on falsies but they are not in in your face style. I would buy these again but I am still not convinced they replace my two coats of mascara and an eyelash curler. I am not sure how easy these will be to clean but I am enjoying wearing them and how they look and how long and full my lashes are. I wear glasses and I am happy these are curved upward enough that they don’t touch my lenses. I have never had much luck with falsies until now and the learning curve on this was short so maybe I’ve finally found a product I can manage? I liked these well enough that I went and got the full set to give a try too. I don’t know if this concept will be long lasting or is just a novelty, but I’m on board for now. Yes, please.
UPDATE: I only managed to wear them for an evening and went out to dinner but I was ready to take them off once I got home, as I started to notice the weight more and they were not as comfortable after a few hours of wear. I may even have the confidence now to try those glue on style again as I liked the look but not the weight of the magnets and I think if I could just master the application on those, we could be BFF’s.

First pair vanished in my purse before i had the chance to apply them properly. Second one ,first real try, 30 minutes on and one eye was just perfect, I finally had figured it out! I am in my car and i am unbeatable, i am strong , i am fearless , i am one lash short.. what the heck happened?? I am there with a crazy beautifully lashed eye and i lost the other half for my other eye in my car. That’s a lost cause. Payday it is , Walmart here I come.
I got another pair and finally got to give them a try. I think i will be cutting them a bit because i have small eyes and they are a bit too large, and I never had fake eyelashes before so I am no used to have something else than whats attached to my eyes sitting on my lids. Practice makes perfect and really the quality is great. I will not buy a pair on amazon for 2$ because gurl them eyes are worth them extra bucks, I would be so proud explaining how i damaged my cornea but proudly saved 13$. Ardell is a no brainer as a choice, and its about practice.
Do I recommend? Hell yeah gurl, you won’t satisfy your inner beauty guru unless you try them, no matter how many reviews you read. They’re great.

I bought these and the accents. I hardly wear lashes because they never stay on right and I hate the idea that I might lose lashes. Some people say you don’t, and I guess the glue matters, but every time I wear them, I have glue residue that I can’t pick off and end up rubbing off lashes and having sticky eyes. So I was hoping this would be easier and better for me.
I didn’t find them to be that affordable. They’re about $15 without sales (which I definitely got a deal) but they had to be easier to use than glue for me to feel that’s worth it. Well they’re not, at all. I tried the accents first, and they’re not perfect, but I like them. For some reason, my specific accents don’t hold a curve on the right lashes. So that looks unnatural and you can’t glue it down like you would with normal. Still, I like them enough. But these….these I couldn’t get to line up right at all. The sales girl told me it took her an hour and she was just too frustrated to try again. I looked at reviews that were wary also but I had to see myself. I couldn’t deal with it. I know there’s a learning curve but I felt I had gotten the accents to work ok and didn’t want to waste more time on the full ones, even though the look of demi whispies is one of my favorites. I didn’t even get them on correctly once despite trying for a long time. I’ve heard of chopping the lashes into one magnet sections, but I never had luck doing that with glue and it would only add more time to the application so I didn’t bother. That’s something I’m more likely to do with glue, if ever. I ended up returning these and kept the accents.
For what it’s worth though, I do still lose a few lashes with the accents even though I try to remove them carefully by sliding the magnets apart.

In an attempt to give an unbiased, objective review of these lashes I am giving this a rating of 3 lippies.
Pros:
1. Magnetic lashes, no need for glue, definitely a bonus
2. Lashes appear to be of good quality, not plasticky, do not shed
3. Despite having magnets, do not feel heavy (although I did not wear these for an extended length of time)
4. Affordable
5. Comes in different styles, this one is not really my cup of tea, very full, but if that’s what you are looking for, they will make an impact
Cons:
1. Hard to apply a full strip of magnetic lashes, the learning curve can be frustrating
2. This style is particularly “lash heavy” or rather full for my particular eye size and shape
While the pros outweighs the cons, this particular style did not work out for me. I am interested in trying the Accent option which may fit my eyes and look more appropriate on them. If you enjoy full lashes I’d recommend giving these a try though.
