Fabulous considering the price (£9). All 6 shades are matte and have a silky rather than chalky texture to them. Pigmentation-wise, these are about average, although easy enough to build up if you choose to do so. I can’t comment on wear time as I use these shadows over an eyelid primer, but fallout is minimal from what I’ve noticed. The one thing stopping me from the 5 stars rather than 4 is the shade range itself – some colours just do not go together on my skin, so I rarely complete eye make-up using this palette alone. However, affordable and reliable matte shadows can be tricky to find at decent prices, and this one performs very well. Wholeheartedly recommend!

I like this palette a lot, it’s one of the best I’ve tried from the drugstore. The pigmentation is great (but admittedly not “amazing”, you can’t really compare Nyx with the likes of Sugarpill or anything) and the colors are suuuuuuuper blendable. These are neutral mattes that are very work-appropriate and classy on the eyes. There isn’t a single shade that I don’t like and I find them all very buildable if you want a more intense look.
The packaging is a bit “thick” but I don’t mind the bulkiness because it feels more durable than most of Nyx’s other palettes. It’s also really cheap, I think I got it for $10 from the NYX site.

I’m often in an intense love-hate relationship with NYX and their products, and this is unfortuntely not an exception. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a bad palette, like at all. I like the Lid Lingerie palette, I’m just not as head over heels with it as I had expected. This review is gonna be long, because I’m quite passionate about NYX products. Even when I’m not completely in love with them all the time.
1/ The packaging: I love NYX straight forwardness with their plain clear plastic lid and black “couch” that the square uniform-sized pans of shadow sit on. I’m happy that I can see my shadows at all time and need only to glance at my collection to get an indea of what I want to do that day (I even depot the products that don’t come in clear-lid packaging). However, the Lid Lingerie is needlessly and ridiculously bulky.I don’t understand why they made a small, palm-sized palette and then made the height nearly 2cm? The pan size in this palette is the same as the pans in their Avant Pop palettes, and those palettes come with 10 shades and are longer, yet they still managed a thin 1.2cm bezel. The Lid Lingerie feels like a brick in the hand. And the thickness of the plastic lid on both palettes is the same too. So NYX really just went out of their way to make the LL super bulky. Yet all that plastic doesn’t make the palette more sturdy, on the contrary, the height makes it even more prone to breakage. Mine already has a hair line crack on the side. Should have saved that waste of plastic and shaved a couple dozen cents on the price.
2/ Colour range: I’ll refer to the shades in the palette in this numbering, first row from left to right: 1/ the cream shade, 2/ the light muted lavender, 3/ the brown-ish medium orange; second row left to right: 4/ the medium-deep cool-leaning rich brown, 5/ the perfect peachy transition shade, and 6/ the red-toned brown. I’m pretty pleased with the colour scheme of this palette. It’s a mix of warm and cool tones, and the lavender thrown in was a nice surprise. I had actually hoped the lavender one was more like the mauve shade they has in the Avant Pop Surreal My Heart palette, or the also very similar mauve in their little Full Throttle Take Over Control quad, those two are my favourite one shade all over the lid shade. This lavender is way too cool for me personally to use as a transition shade (I’m a very light skinned Asian and have yellow-olive undertone). But bordered by the orange and cinced in the outer V with either of the browns, this is a very cool and unique lid shade that compliments brown eyes beautifully. I love the peachy shade on the second row too, I didn’t think it’d work on my skin tone but it’s awesome, it’s not too warm and it doesn’t clash with my undertone. It just warms up my eyelids really nicely. I like the 2 brown shades, they’re different enough from each other to change the overall tone of the eye look. I couldn’t careless for the cream shade. I honestly wish they had just replaced it with a purple like the muted purples in the ABH Modern Renaissance or something. The cream shade in any palette just completely put a block on any customer who isn’t light to light medium skinned in my opinion. We all have face powder, eye primer or dedicated skin-toned eye base to negate any need for a cream shade for any purpose. I honestly think it’s just an excuse for NYX, they’re very good at making lighter eyeshadows, their deeper shades, not so much. I’ll elaborate in the next paragraph.
3/ Quality, lasting power, colour payoff, texture, blendability: NYX shadows are usually much higher quality-wise compare to other competitors at the drugstore. Theirs are the only shadows that last on my eyes quite decently without completely disappearing within an hour. They’re also not as powdery and very smooth (in contrast with, say WetnWild or ELF). The smoother, more sufficiently pigmented shades in the palette are: the cream, the lavender, and the peach. The orange is not as smooth but it doesn’t lack far behind. The only problem I have with the cooler brown shade is that it’s the most powdery shade of them all, it kicks up a ton of dust when touched with either brush or finger. To make up for it, it’s also the most pigmented shade out of the six and it blends out easily. The supposed-ly red toned brown is the worst shade of all. It’s patchy, stiff and dry, the colour not as deep (not much deeper than the orange at all in fact – I can’t even use it to deepen my outer corner) nor as rich as in the pan and it doesn’t build up. On my olive skin tone, the red tone in the shadow is completely lost. It’s neutralized to a muddy, unflattering brown. That awful shade aside, the texture of the shadows are very very forgiving, especially if you don’t have smooth eyelids or milia. My middle aged mother loves the orange shade, it significantly helps with the crepe-y skin on her eyes. My eyelids are not aged but I do have some milia, slightly bulging veins and some stray brow hairs too fine to be picked up by the tweezers. I’m not a fan of the very dry, super matte eyeshadows, I prefer shadows that have a bit of a light sheen, more demi-matte or satin or whatever word brands invent to describe their shadows these days. That’s why NYX mattes are my favs.
4/ Pricing: $10 is really up there for 6 shadows. On the long run, it doesn’t matter that much, but still it’s a bit expensive, especially if like me you don’t live in the US and can’t make use of any coupon or sales. There are official NYX showrooms in my country, but the prices are severely jacked up, even with seasonal 30% sales. And only for 6 shades. I gritted my teeth and purchased it full priced, but like I said, I have a soft spot for NYX.
Overall, I do recommend this palette. If you’re in the same shoe as me, I strongly advise consider the aspects I discussed above before purchasing esp. the skin problem. If you already have similar colours of approximate quality in your collection, this is not neces

I absolutely love this palette all the colors are very pigmented with little fall out. They blend beautifully I love that they are all matte neutral colors. Nyx really improved their formulas because these are their best eyeshadows yet

The packaging could have been less bulky but the shadows are great. Pigmented and easy to blend, plus I have not experienced any fallout. The price is pretty reasonable too. Recommended!

It has a very low price for what you get. Yes, the packaging may not be the prettiest. It is kinda bulky but the eyeshadows are amazing. Very pigmented, very easy to blend, very long lasting and you get a lot of product.
