I’m digging everything about this eyeliner except the brush, which I feel isn’t beginner-friendly because it’s difficult to control the thickness of the line when you’re using something like a small nail polish brush. Those of you wanting a sharp cat-eye may want to look elsewhere. That being said, I usually go for a simple line for everyday wear, and this is pretty good for $3. It’s very pigmented and didn’t take as long to dry down on me as others have reported, but once it’s on, it stays put all day with minimal wear near the corners of my eyes. There’s also no transfer and thus no dreaded “second eyebrows,” an issue I tend to have with pencil and gel formulas.

I’ve had this liner for a pretty long time and I like the brush tip and matte finish. The formula is runny so when I am applying near my inner corner I have to be careful or it will transfer to the bottom pretty quickly.
I think it goes over shimmer shadows well and it is easy to do a wing because of how thin the brush is and you can easily build up the thickness of the line. Similar to the last reviewer I have experienced some cracking but it wasn’t consistently happening with each use. For me it only happened on the area where I draw the wing, I don’t know if it happens because I didn’t let it dry completely before adding more product or if it was because there was no shadow / primer in that area to hold it down and make it smoother.
I will repurchase because it is only $3, I love how sharp I can make lines with the small brush, and it is very pigmented. The formula reminds me of the NYX Epic Ink Liner but in a dip brush format.

Wasn’t too hard to apply and didn’t smudge but not long after it began to crack and come off.

I was looking for a fine tip liner. This is not fine tip.
It’s very runny. Takes about 7 minutes to dry. That’s a long time when you are in a hurry. Once dry, it looks cracked and flaky.
When its wet you can try to smudge it, but it just went everywhere. This one is going to end up in my “halloween” box. It will be great for drawing cat whiskers on my cheeks.

This gets a hard pass from me. I messed up my timing and my KVD tattoo liner ran out while I already had a replacement coming in the mail so I just needed something to tide me over. The tester swatched really black and consistent on my hand, but when I actually used it on my eyes it was so patchy because of how liquid it is and when it dried it looked so cracked and the colour had turned grey. This was within 15 minutes. I threw it out right away and I can’t even be mad about it since it was only $3

Just bought this as my first liquid eyeliner. I figured, “Hey, it’s cheap. What’s the worst that could happen?” Bonus points for nice packaging.
But it’s like everyone else said–it’s runny, takes forever to dry, and it’s a miracle if you can apply it decently without smudging or getting it everywhere.
I had thought at first, the novice that I am, that it just meant I sucked at the application. Nope, it’s not me. It’s the product.

Terrible eyeliner, would not recommend to anyone. It’s watery, dries really shiny and cracked, not good for beginners.

Edit 5/21/17: this eyeliner is good except that it is water resistant not waterproof, normally I don’t bother with non WP liquid eyeliner but MAC liquidlast, Isehan & Magical Halo are my go-to’s but if you need a good non WP liquid eyeliner I highly rec’d it. I like Milani infinite it’s 1 of the best DS WP liquid eyeliners. I put this eyeliner in the catagory of LA Colors & NYC. Nice products & good prices but not WP. I like-this I don’t like-this-like-this lol 😀 (does he like me or like me like me lol) sheewww why for my own self I do not know why I bother even w non WP liquid eyeliner…..(?) it just does not really work for me.

Original review: I got this in March 2016 ELF Play Beautiful subscription box so I’m not quite sure of the price but I think it is ~$3USD. It has a paint brush tip (my fave kind like what’s on LA Colors & Maybelline Ultra WP liquid liners) normally I don’t fool w non waterproof liquid eyeliner coz my eyes are very rheumy but I put this on this morn, traced over it w black e/s from the LORAC ProMatte palette…blech. My HG is MAC Liquidlast why oh why do I bother. Doubt I’d rebuy.

I love this liner! It’s easy to apply, goes on super black, stays on my eyes, and doesn’t budge throughout the day. I love how thin the brush is because it gives your winged liner a nice look. I took one lippie off for the packaging because even though I treated this with care, the brush ended up becoming super fuzzy by the time I was done with my first tube. To the point where my liner would go on crazy thick because of it. I don’t mind thick eyeliner but I also like to build up to it. I was so surprised when I opened up my second tube because I forgot how thin the applicator was. Also, I don’t like how this is more on the shiny side and not matte but it also doesn’t advertise itself as a matte liner so that’s just my personal preference speaking. I just go over it with a black eye shadow when I’m not lazy but I do hope elf comes out with a matte liner soon!

I wrote a review for the E.L.F liquid eyeliner in their regular line. I’m going to include it here as well because this is basically the same thing, and everything I said in that review is just as true for this one.
Only difference I want to point out is that this is slightly less watery compared to the one from the regular line, but I still find the end result to be pretty much exactly the same both in terms of application, result and smudging.
Here is the review:
This is horrible! It is so downright horrible that I’m kind of mad that E.L.F. has the audacity to sell this as a liquid liner.
This is watery. And when I say that I don’t JUST mean that it’s thin, poorly pigmented and runny, no it literally lays on top of the skin as a drop of water. It is impossible to use because once applied to the skin it slides around like a droplet of water and dries however it likes. And when it eventually does dry (which takes FOREVER), it dries to a very plastic-y finish that is not flattering at all. Also I have to say again that the pigmentation (in the black one at least) is so poor that it comes off as a light gray color, and because of consistency it is impossible to build on this after it dries.
Of course because this is basically tinted water it will also smudge like crazy even if you do by some miracle manage to get a decent application.
The only thing I like about this is that it has a brush applicator, which I might take out and try on other liners because it is very thin.
But over all, save your money because this is not even worth a penny. Actually I would not even accept this if I got it for free.
My current favorite in the liquid liner department is the Wet ‘n wild Mega liner, and that one is not much more expensive than this, so I recommend trying that to see what liquid liner is supposed to feel/dry like on the skin.
