Just a big NOPE.
I bought the white one, and mine wasn’t sheer at all, it was extremely pigmented, but once I applied it to my waterline…
Disaster. This eyeliner for being a “smooth and creamy texture” is extremely chalky, and powdery. It’s plain awful, it leaves crumbles of white pigmented and does not provide with a smooth line.
Worst liner ever.

I picked this up at Target during a search for a purple eyeliner to bring out my brown eyes. I didn’t realize that this was metallic, but it is a lovely shade of purple. It’s not cool toned or super warm. I’d say it’s right in the middle and is a true purple.
Because this is metallic I don’t think I’d buy it again, but I will use up the pencil I have. It’s a pretty color and I like to line the top and bottom with it and just add a coat of mascara and go.
The wear time on this is not as impressive as I’d expected. I can go about 4 hours before I have to wipe away the purple that has traveled underneath my eyes. I was hoping to go a bit longer.
The application is great and removal is a breeze. I really do love that the pencil is soft and creamy. It never feels like it’s tugging at my eyelids or the skin underneath my eyes. Unfortunately, I think it’s so creamy and smooth that the first application is very sheer. I have to go over my line multiple times to get a nice standout line. You also have to be really careful both during sharpening and application because being too hard on the pencil will cause it to crumble or smear and clump on your eyelids.
I’d say these pencils are good if you like fun, bright metallic colors and don’t mind to clean up underneath your eyes.

It’s sheer. That’s not what I wanted. I wanted a dupe of 24/7 liners, like everyone else in the world. I’ve tried many “liquid” eyeliner pencils, and all but UD’s have irritated my eyes. NYX did not, felt fine from application to removal with reapplication twice. Thing is, it needed two reapplications, and it’s sheer. If other slick pencils like this have irritated your eyes, NYX may be a good bet, but I’m not impressed with color or wear time on this product.
This is not what I’m looking for in a liner, I want opaque and I want obviously purple (you know, perhaps a blaze of purple as the name suggests) but this was dark in addition to being sheer. It’s a product I could find a use for, a neutral purple eye, surely, but it’s not close to UD’s pencil’s color payoff and it has nowhere near the wear time with or without a primer.

Bright, pretty, smooth, I found a purple liner I like. I tend to stay away from inside the lash line with these, but find the darker colors travel more so it might even work for that, but the lighter colors don’t usually ‘pick up’ inside the water line. The purples also smudge away quickly when I do a swatch test. I use this mostly on the bottom lash line as an accent. Nice metallic purple. Doesn’t disappoint.

If you like eye pencil from Urban Decay, you would love these. They are exactly the same texture: creamy and pigmented, long lasting (took me a few try to remove with my eye makeup remover. It is expensive for a NYX product, but compare to UD, it is a steal.
This color in particular is exactly the same as UD ransom. EXACTLY THE SAME.
I got one and was so impressed by it, I ended up getting it in every color.

Brilliant, creamy liner. Great for a pop of colour. I was inspired by Dulce Candy on Youtube to get into these because she had a tutorial using the purple one. You will NOT be disappointed! They are well worth the money & I like em better than the 24/7 liners from UD
