Recently lost my beloved YSL eyeliner, but as I was tight for cash I couldn’t justify paying £17.50 for another one. That’s when I noticed that Glamour magazine were giving away a free Model Co product with their £1 July issue. So glad I bought it because omg…best eyeliner ever. Dare I say better than my YSL one. I’m such an eyeliner girl, its the one beauty item I cant live without so my standards for a good pigmented, very black and smudge proof eyeliner are very high. Wow this product delivers..I apply it at 9am in the morning just as I get to work and by 9pm at night my eyes are still defined and sharp because of this saviour of an eyeliner. Good job Model Co! Made me intrigued to try more of their products!

Again, I am not into eye liners but if they stay fool proof and child proof I will buy it again . I enjoy the black eyeliner it has a sharpener built into the liner and is 2 in 1 product . Is a white pencil color but don’t be fool is smudge proof and last 12hrs or more if you use primer first on the eyes . I did read it contains cocoa butter and is smoothing sealed on and doesn’t clog when you wipe it off you scratch your eye or trying fix some contact inside your eye . I really never wrote a eyeliner review but this is my first and proud to say that I love this new brand of modelco makeup . There blush is $22 but I got mines with the boxy charm monthly membership and I will get this every month and excited to try all this new products .

WHAT I LOVE:
Easy to apply & remove with eye makeup remover
Non-irritant
Handy sharpening tool
WHAT I DON’T LIKE:
Smudges easily.
RE-PURCHASE? Unlikely
OVERALL 4/5 This has equal or better staying power than eyeliners I’ve tried in the past (definitely better compared with Prestige’s organic range & comparable with Maybelline). The sharpener is a handy tool that I liked to use once the pencil was the right length to fit in it. On the other hand, as other users have found, it makes the lid loose and an incorrect fit to the pencil shaft. However, this wasn’t a problem for me since I cram the pencil into my wallet. All in all, it’s not HG level for me (due to its average staying power and high smudging effect), but I’ll definitely be using it until it runs out!

I have this pencil in Brown 02, like the previous review I wish the colour was a little deeper. The staying power of this product is relatively good. It stays on my waterline for about half the day before I feel like I need to re-do it, however it does that thing that most pencil liners do and completely disappears within 30 minutes from the very outer corner of my waterline. When applied on my eyelids it stays all day and really holds eye shadows in place when layered on top.
I’ve found the sharpener lid to be really good, I find that it sharpens the pencil nice and evenly, and doesn’t break the tip of the pencil. The plastic on the lid is starting to get stress lines in it, so I don’t carry it with me during the day anymore because I don’t want the plastic to break. The sharpener is also kind of hard to clean because of the way the plastic is angled around it.

I bought two of these eyeliners- a black and a brown. I was sold because of the sharpener in the lid- very gimmicky, I know, but I am really lazy when it comes to sharpening make up pencils all the time and I thought this would help! The eyeliners are good, but not amazing. Quite creamy and soft, sometimes too soft (particularly in summer time, I notice a big difference on hot days that the product is very melty), it can be difficult to get a thin precise line. It stays on reasonably well but by the end of a long day you do notice a fair bit of smudging. It doesn’t stay on the waterline at all. The black is a nice dark black, but I’m not so keen on the brown, it is a real mid- brown (I’d prefer something a bit darker/more chocolate-y), but I guess that is a personal preference.
As far as the sharpener in the lid goes- I’d say it is a dismal failure. The sharpener is poor quality (blades are not very sharp- leaves feathery bits of wood around the pencil), so I still reach for another sharpener to do the job. AND the plastic is weak at the joins so on both of my pencils it has broken (and I’m not at all rough with them, I treat make up items very carefully!), the lids now don’t stay on and consequently eyeliner everywhere in my eyeliner drawer (they have now been quarantined in another drawer because I don’t have a spare lid for them!). As the other reviewer said, they also drop mess everywhere. So a big thumbs down for the packaging.

The ultimate smutty deep jet black – the blackest I’ve ever tried. Goes on creamy and smooth. Smudges a tiny bit on my oily lids but if I top set with black eye shadow it stays all day. Good quality but I would not repurchase as it irritates my sensitive eyes and it is difficult to completely remove.
