This is my very first purchase from NYX, moreover completely random and it seems I have lucky hand. I have this one in color brown ash, it’s medium dark without any red/warm undertones and I really like this shade. The product itself is really great too, very satisfied. I used Anastacia Beverly Hills (with spoilie) and Fenty Beauty (has the same type of brush), but I like this one much more. It’s the consistency what makes this one winner for me. It’s creamy yet not too much for looking natural. I don’t like brows that are filling too much. I have lot of hair in my brows so I just make them more modified and bolt. I’m really happy with it ‘cause it seems I will save my money otherwise my previous brow pencils were way more expensive.

Purchased in “Chocolate,” a dark brown with a hint of red in it (beware if you are trying to avoid reddish browns). The formula is creamy and goes on easily, but it’s messy and using the oval brush end to smoosh the product into my brows (which are thinning, nearly nude taupe color) just makes a mess. I’m not enough of a brow artist to use this successfully, and I’m creating a brow, not just filling in a few hairs. I did like the rectangular, angled tip, which spreads the product over a larger surface area, but I couldn’t work with this formula or the brush. Unfortunately, more expensive Anastasia is still my HG.

Holy Grail for brows. This is new and I got a promotional sample of the shade called Ash Brown. It’s a crayon with a tiny wedge shaped end. This shade is a medium/dark brown. What I love is the total control over placement of the lines for my brows I am drawing, and the creamy smooth easy application, and how I am able to easily get the exact shape and look I want.
This comes with a tiny soft brush instead of the usual spoolie which softens the lines of the crayon. This was hard to find, as I wanted to try a lighter color since the one I got was pretty dark. The only problem I can find is that even though there is a shade named “Taupe” that shade is actually a reddish toned light brown. I’m a blond and need a true taupe. I have ordered from eBay, the only place I found these so far, a blond one that might be too yellow. If that won’t work, I will try the one called “charcoal” hoping for something softer. But even as too dark as this ash brown shade is for me I loved how my brows looked after using this. I love this so much I might have to color my hair brown to match my brows.
