I got this in Cup a Joe (Brown) as an alternative to the KVD Tattoo Liner in Mad Max Brown. The color is highly pigmented (almost black), applies evenly and stays put most of the day. The price ($14) is a bargain. However, won’t be repurchasing. It’s a nice product and good value, BUT the line is noticeably thicker than the KVD product I was trying to replace. I am not saying jumbo thick, just a slightly less fine line. I am next going to try Dolly Wink Koji liner, which I can already see just from swatching it, creates a finer line than both products. Will review that liner shortly.

Liquid pen liners are like super cars. The performance is apparent on the track (or eyelid). It must be opaque and dark. Second passes are for suckers.
Shiny or matte dont care, but waterproof is standard. Long wear isn’t going to cut it. Hot yoga-proof. Texas summer-my-car’s air condition went out-proof. Dry sauna-proof. I’m asking a lot.
Packaging is also noticeable: even if its teeny tiny, i can still tell if the cap is flimsy and cheap. The devil is in the details.
Wink-it in ‘little black dress’ fits all the bill and more. KVD ink liner or this, you wont be able to tell the difference except for a few bucks you can save.

This is a great dupe for Stila all day liner. I’ve been using Stila for many years and been searching for dupes. I found that Jesse’s girl liquid liner was pretty similar however Jesse’s girl dries up quickly. Usually Stila last about 3-4 months. Sephora liner is cheaper than Stila ($14 vs. $22), same packaging, contains more product and both are made in Japan. I need to see how long Sephora will hold up but so far so good.
