This was the first Makeup Geek eyeshadow I purchased and I’ve used it almost every day since. I wanted something that I could use as a base for other shadows and as a brow one highlight (don’t care for shimmery highlights) and Vanilla Bean is perfect for both. My favorite way to wear it layered over a shimmery base like Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded for a “no makeup” look.
Prior to purchasing Vanilla Bean I was using Rouge Bunny Rouge Papyrus Canary for the same functions. Although RBR’s texture is far superior I prefer the MUG shadow . It’s comparable to the RBR in every other way but costs a third as much so I don’t feel like I have to skimp on the amount I use.

I’m a BIG fan of the makeup geek shadows. This color is a great all over color that I have been applying from lashes to brow to serve as a base for all colors. If you have not purchased any I encourage you to try them and this color is a great place to start. Comparable to MAC and 1/2 the price with the same quality, pan size etc. Highly Recommended!

I just got this the other day and have used it every day since I’ve had it! This is a lovely creamy neutral. I don’t think it really compares to any MAC colors I have had…this is a much more yellow-toned cream neutral than most other neutrals you would get. For me, this is great, because I have a bit of reddish discoloration on my lids that I have to neutralize with yellow colors. This has a nice, creamy consistency and is easy to blend. It looks like a matte shadow, and for the most part it is, but it does have the tiniest bit of shimmer to it. For the price, I think these are some good shadows to try ($5.99).
