I really enjoy the formula of these shadows, but I do think some shades have way more depth than others. I currently own 5 shades (Jean, Rose Gold, Bette, Mona Lisa, and Marie Antoinette) and I would say Bette and Marie Antoinette are my favourite by far (and would rate those 5 stars easily). They’re all consistent in formula (which is great) but I think the shade depth of the lighter colours just don’t compare, and Mona Lisa just shows up as a dark brown shadow that’s a bit harder to blend in easily, whereas the other two have great dimension and just apply like a dream. I have NC25/30 skin tone for reference.
They’re all easy to apply and provide a really nice quick and easy option while still looking like you put in some effort in the morning. They’re a lot thicker in consistency than other formulas i’ve tried but they last really well on my lids (I always use a primer though as I have hooded eyes). As I get older I’m starting to prefer cream shadows more and more and this formula is top of my list at the moment.

Bette is nice but easily duped with MAC paintpot in Indianwood, plus the MAC version doesn’t have obvious glitter particles. Same undertone and look identical on the lids other than the CT has glitter.

Intro- I have this in Jean and Marie Antoinette. I believe Jean is created after Marilyn Monroe because her name is Norma Jean. I love it all over the lids and some bronzer in the crease with a feline flick and a bold deep red glossy lip for that Marilyn Monroe Signature look. For Marie Antoinette, its very multi dimensional where it looks like i have more than one eyeshadow on so its perfect for lazy days where i want to look like i actually tried.
Texture- This is moussey to the touch and spreads like whipped butter. A little goes a long way. I always feel like ive used too much even with the tiniest touch with my Mac 242 brush, i feel its best applied with fingers. This doesnt dry as fast as Stila liquid eyeshadows so it gives you time to work with it and blend. It is also very easy to build up to an opaque color making it very versatile from day to night look.,
Color- Jean is a champagne pink but it doesnt transfer pink on my fair neutral skintone. Stila Kitten Liquid eyeshadow is more pink and more metallic but these 2 are somwhat similar. Jean looks more peachy than Kitten and more of a satin sheen. Stila Kitten is a metallic wet shimmery pinky silvery sheen and a lot more in your face than Jean. This melts into my skin better, It gives me a buttery soft silky smooth satin look while still looking natural and never over the top. This isnt too frosty or too stark and It matches the undertone of my skin pretty well to look like ” my lids but better ”
Marie Antoinette- its not as warm as Bette but def not too ashy either. Its got bronzey gold sheen while leaning cool taupe. This is my favorite because when i wear it, it looks like i have more than one eyeshadow on. It catches the light just right to give you a multi dimensinoal look. Its an oyster gold, a very hard color to describe. Its similar to Mac Groundwork but with a sheen.These work really nice as a base because i notice i get less creasing and fading. I tried Bette and found it to be too orange and warm on my fair neutral skintone. I bought Marie Antoinette right away because it flatters my skin a lot better. I found it to be not too dark and not too light, it really truly is a goldie lock color for me personally. If i has to keep one eyeshadow to use for the rest of my life, its be this one. Its pretty much the ONLY shiney or sheeny thing i put on my eyes nowadays. I am a all matte eyeshadow girl since i have hooded almond lids and i can say i will be content with only using Marie Antoinette. Thats saying a lot!
Wear- Wear all day with minimal fading. It depends on your skin type. So for extremely oily lids i do suggest a primer or to powder before using this as a base. I have oily lids where i get that one annoying line crease in my almond eyelids. I dont find this to crease til the very end of the day which is amazing. I can use this as a base or on its own. Ive worn it in 95degree summer and it didnt budge whatsoever.
Price- this is 32 dollars US and a beautiful luxury cream shadow. A little goes a long way so i dont see myself ever finishing it.

This is a beautiful eyeshadow. I was skeptical at first because I find many cream eyeshadows don’t blend well, but this blends like a dream. I use it almost daily. I have it in Mona Lisa which is a deep chocolaty bronze.
The best thing about it is its versatility. It’s so buildable. During the day I use it just as a wash, and on my pale skin it looks almost like natural pigmentation/contouring around my eyes. The metallic shimmer is hardly visible but leaves a nice natural looking sheen when worn this way.
Then, in the evening, you can really vamp it up. You can build it to full coverage and it can look really sleek and beautiful, or I like to work it around a bit until it looks really grungy (Kate Moss style!). I bought it in Spain and you can’t yet buy it in-store in Australia where I live, but I love it so much I will be going out of my way to find it online when I run out and I’ll probably get more colours too!

Wonderful! I have Marie Antoinette and Mona Lisa. The colors are lovely (taupey gold and purple/brown) with such a lovely glossy sheen I can’t get over.
Application is a smooth breeze and they look so flattering. Perfect for one-and-done eye makeup that looks much more complex than it actually is.
Color payoff isn’t amazing, more like a medium I’d say but this makes them so wearable for everyday. Also they seem to be rather silicone based and sometimes eyeliner has a hard time showing up because of the slip. A bit pricey but what little pretty pots of beauty they are! Surely plan to get more ♡
It pains me to says so but 1 lippie off because they always crease at the end of the day even though I apply TFSI beforehand. Love the look and ease of application too much though…
Edit: Still obsessed with these cream shadows. Got Bette which is a yellow/bronze golden color and Star Gold (orangey copper). Both are very high shine and beautiful but more of a “focus” element in makeup rather the first two I bought which I consider more versatile. Jean is the lightest, pale peachy champagne which doesn’t make much of an impact on its own.
Marie Antoinette would be my one and only lid color for life if I had to pick one and Mona Lisa is my second favorite. Gorgeous!

I am nearly 50 and have oily, hooded lids and small eyes. I have Jean, Bette, and Star Gold. In the past eye shadows always creased up toward the end of my work shifts and I’m surprised that these have better staying power being that they are cream. I use a base (Face of Stockholm Eye Fix), as I do with any other eye product. I put a light wash of these cream shadows on the lid, and then for extra shimmer effect and opacity, I will pat some more on the mobile lid. Patting it on that area also seems to lessen the look of eye wrinkles. I love these shadows and can’t wait to see what shade Charlotte will come out with next!
*Since I’m on the cusp of 50 I’ve been researching makeup for older women. So many articles say to avoid shimmer. These shadows are not aging at all. These can work as an accent on the mobile lid and/or under the eye with matte shadow above the crease. For me, I get more compliments and my eyes seem to stand out more with these pots than when I wore 100% matte shadows.
Another plus is it’s cruelty free.

Recently purchased this in Veruschka. I’m not a typical user of pot shadows; MAC paint pots are a pain in the ass to apply IMO. I like that this one goes on smoothly (I use a brush so as not to contaminate the jar), has fantastic pigmentation (a little goes a LONG way), and doesn’t crease (I prime my oily lids with a tiny bit of concealer first). The color of Veruschka is true to it’s description, a gorgeous smokey oyster moss grey green, and while I love the color (it reminds me of a lovechild of MAC greensmoke and sumptuous olive) and when paired with the CT pencil Veruschka Mink, it’s gorgeous — BUT it’s got a bit too much glitter/twinkle for my taste. I like more of a subdued/shimmer (like a MAC veluxe or satin finish) and this has just a wee wink too much glittery sparkle to it – for me. It would be amazing in a smoky eye look at night, but I haven’t figured out a way to wear this during the day without looking too vampy. I will keep playing with it in hopes of making it work for a daytime look, and will buy it again for night looks.

I was super hesitant about trying these cream shadows because a few of my favorite trusted beauty reviewers were disappointed by the longevity of these. I have hooded Asian eyelids, so I care a lot about my shadow adhering properly to the lids and staying immobile throughout the day. I finally purchased Bette because the copper is quite unique (golden shimmers on a bronze base) and have not experienced ANY issues with the staying power. I have 10 hour work days when factoring in commute, and Bette stays vibrant, creaseless, and in place by the end of the day without the help of primer. I do have dry skin and dry lids, though, so keep in mind that if you’re oily you may experience more slip. Even when factoring in skin type, I have other cream shadows that crease and fade! It’s also very easy to apply, perfect for patting all over the lid and bottom lashline as a single shadow look. A friend was shocked when I told her that I only had one color on my lid because the multidimensional color shifts along your eyes’ natural contours. I can’t speak for other colors but the formula of Bette is not much different from the coveted Tom Ford cream shadows in my opinion as far as payoff – CT is moussier.
Another thing to mention is that Bette is MUCH less yellow-green than it shows in Temptalia’s pictures. I didn’t even recognize it in real life because her pictures showed a gaudy costume jewelry gold, but Bette is actually a gorgeous and warm golden amber. I have olive skin and you best bet that too much of a burnished gold looks terrible on me. Even in my office, the place with the most unflattering fluorescent overhead lights, Bette is still lovely and beautiful on my complexion.
Edit: Purchased Marie Antoinette and uploaded a comparison pic between the TF shades that are often named as dupes! Bette is warmer, lighter than TF Spice. Marie Antoinette is almost the same as TF Platinum but is a hair more warm.

I typically use Marie Antoinette and Jean, only sometimes Bette and Verucshka. I hear a rose gold is coming out and I will be first in line.
I have had these little pots for a few years, use them daily, and I haven’t run out. They are blindingly beautiful shimmery colors, and I get endless compliments whenever I wear them. To me, it has the look of a wet eyeshadow application without the hassle. You really only need one color and a liner to look completely finished and glorious. I rarely ever use powder shadow now, these are so much better.
Also, Charlotte developed Tom Ford’s cosmetic line, so if you like his cream eyeshadows, these are a less expensive and nearly identical option.
