I really love these eyeshadows. I got the custom palette with Dusty Rose, Buon Fresco, Vermeer, and Fresh. I had initially gotten Pink Champagne, but that one was poor. It was basically all glitter that somehow ended up all over my face. The matte ones I have are excellent — blendable, pigmented, with good staying power. The colors are as follows:
Dusty Rose is a warm mauve/reddish brown. It’s a bit too warm for me, but the quality is so great I wear it anyway.
Buon Fresco is a beautiful lilac taupe. I love pairing it with slightly deeper neutral purples to bring out the lavender.
Fresh is a pale, flesh-toned peachy-nude. It looks similar to Mac Orb and makes a good base.
Vermeer is a pale, frosty nude that is a bit too white. I’m always tempted by pearl/frost colors, and this one is high quality without being too shiny.
If I have one piece of constructive criticism, it’s that I wish there were more colors. I would be glad to make an everyday kind of palette out of this, but the colors are a bit too “unique” and the pale colors too pale for it to work by itself. I always have to pair them with non-ABH eyeshadows, which is a bit of a hassle. Still… I’m very glad to have discovered these!

I am by no means a makeup buff, but of all the shadows I’ve tried (including my go-to Urban Decay palette), these are my favorites. I’ve been wearing the same brown eyeshadow for almost 10 years now, and decided to switch things up by treating myself to a custom ABH palette. The colors I selected were: Buon Fresco, Deep Plum, Hot Chocolate, Red Earth, and Sienna. Wanted to complete the 6 well palette with Birkin, but it was out of stock. These are all matte shadows. They blend better and are more pigmented than the Urban Decay ones I am used to. I am super happy with all the colors I picked too. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love all shadows from ABH. The formulas are wonderful and they blend easily. The single shadow that I bought, Gemstone, is no exception. The deep pink is a bit on the cooler side and it contrasts great with a khaki green or a royal blue. Sometimes, when I’m in a rush, I’l even often pop this shade on to my crease mixed with some of ABH’s Antique Bronze for a diffused wash of colour. It definitely brightens my dark brown eyes and paired with my Milani eyeshadow primer, it lasts me all day!
UPDATE 15/12/2018- I also own the color Moss, which I got at TJ Max for like 4$. I’m assuming they’re discontinuing it for that reason but what a shame because this is a very pretty shimmery khaki to pop on the lid. It actually shows up as green and not a muddy grey like a lot khaki shadows tend to be. I wear Moss on the lid along with Love Letter in the crease since together, they showcase my dark brown eyes.

This line has some GORGEOUS colours, and they can be tested in person at Canadian Sephoras. They’re a steal at CAD$10 each as a quad with a palette included.
Best of all, for me, is that they work with the MAC palette that I already own. No need to depot or to glue a magnet to the back. Yay!

I bought two of these at TJ Maxx, which also had lip kits, contour kits, lipsticks and glow kits. I don’t know if the formula is wrong and that’s why these are there, but since e/s shouldn’t go bad, I don’t think age is the issue. I heard so much about ABH that these were disappointing. So fair warning if you like the singles, maybe skip the TJ Maxx ones. They aren’t garbage quality but they are not worth the hype to me. I can buy two MAC or Makeup geek shadows for the full price of one of these, or two entire Wet N Wild palettes for less.
As for the product itself, I really feel that the shade I kept, Gold Rush, suffers from the same issues that the *edit, wrong name, doh* Subculture palette did. It is okay when swatched but it is virtually unblendable on the eye. If I touch the edges to blend another color in or to soften them, the color falls off. It falls off either way, but this was a really weird issue that I’ve never had before. I can accept some patchiness in the other shade, Violet, since purples can be a real issue, but I don’t get it for a gold shade. I’m going to keep trying Gold Rush since it can maybe be worked with, but I can see it hitting the trash soon. Maybe they got rid of duds at TJ Maxx, but I didn’t feel the quality was there and I was actually very surprised.

These are absolutely perfect for creating your own palette! The Anastasia eyeshadow singles are sold with no well or palette, although if you buy 4+ or 8+ on the Anastasia website you will receive a magnetic eye shadow well for free. I believe Sephora now does the same, but did not at the time I purchased by shadows. I believe they are also exclusively online and cannot be tested first in stores. A single eye shadow is usually $12, although I snagged several for $6 on a Black Friday shopping deal. The price may be off-putting to some, particularly since the shadows cannot be tested in person. The shadows are highly pigmented and the shimmery ones can produce a lot of fallout if they are not handled gently. Despite any potential mess, they are worth the color payoff. The shadows are long lasting and lightweight on the eyes. At the moment I have the shades emerald, enchanted, gemstone, macaroon, pink champagne, rose gold, rosette, and sangria, and I plan on buying more!

Gorgeous formula. I own:
Dusty rose – warm, purple version of Mac’s Quarry
Caramel – darker version of Mac’s Saddle
Red Earth – reddish -purple color. Pretty color when you wanna do a purplish smoky eye.
Definitely would repurchase.

I have about 10 or a dozen single shadows and recently I purchased Venice, like the previous reviewer, along with Tiger’s Eye and Vermeer from the newest release, as well as Metal and Chocolate (Titanium). To tell the honest truth, while Venice is absolutely gorgeous to look at in the pan, I really don’t have much use for it. I adore the colour but it’s just not one I wear very often at all. Of course, that didn’t stop me buying it any more than it stopped me buying MAC Steamy or an exclusive shade from Too Faced many years ago….I love this sort of colour but don’t really need it, given that I almost always wear neutral shadows. Tiger’s Eye is a beautiful greenish gold and it’s the sort of colour for which I have a pronounced weakness. It’s great with brown eyes and such a natural for autumn eye looks.
I’ve yet to be disappointed with any of the ABH singles I’ve purchased. I just wish Sephora carried more colours in-store (some of the shades I’m interested in are only available online and that’s not the way I prefer to shop).

Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Eye Shadows Singles are beautiful, creamy, and highly pigmented. They recently introduced new colors to their collection and these are beautiful and elegant looking. Venice is seriously amazing in its shimmery-metallic finish and the color is a teal-blue that looks almost duochromatic. I always wear a primer that helps these last longer and resist creasing. If you haven’t tried these before i highly recommend that you do so. I have about eight different colors and despite owning many, many eyeshadow palettes, I always find myself reaching for these!

Does anyone else have the problem of every single ABH eyeshadow crumbling? Although the colors are beautiful and pigmented, all of my eyeshadows have become just a mess of crumbly dust. I don’t know why, they were never dropped or mishandled. I won’t re buy because of this problem, and it is only this brand that does it.
