This is a beautiful metallic silver shade with a shimmery finish. Very pigmented and easily blendable.
Long-lasting and doesn’t crease over a good primer.
This is a gorgeous silver shade when paired with a black in the crease or even a deep purple or gunmetal silver, too.

I love silver shadows, so i really like this one.

I love the Maybelline Expert Wear Singles, but Silver Lining is not one of my favorites. Typically, I wear warm tones due to my fair, yellow- orange skin. However, ever once in a while, I like to wear silver, gray or charcoal at night with a navy gel liner, and a red lip.
To me, Silver Lining works best as a highlighter only. It’s much too chalky and white as an all over color wash. Still a great value and the eye shadows last forever…I will buy Expert Wear again, just not this color…

i love this color. but it gets a bit creasy which im not a fan of. but if you put in on the corner of the insides of your eyes it really makes your eyes look great

The color of this is pretty and it’s rather pigmented. However, it’s very powdery, crumbly and messy. I can’t use this without being left with silver shimmer all over my cheeks.

I really like this color! I wore it for a school dance and I got a lot of complements on it!

Yeah, so these eyeshadows are pretty ok, I received two in a recent swap, Silver Lining being one of them. When I first applied the color it didn’t look very saturated at all – a hint of bluish silver that I had to apply at least two layers to really see. I decided to take a picture of myself to see how well the color showed up and was surprised to see that it showed up well! I like that this is a softer silver shade, with, as stated, a slight light blue tinge to it. I am a collector of metallic shades and this one is not too garish for day wear – very understated. I think these e/s would be especially good for teenagers because they aren’t OTT colors – I think they would be really appropriate for school or for someone who is just getting into makeup. Also would be a good highlighter shade. I did notice that my eyes feel a little irritated when wearing these, so if you have sensitive skin, this is not for you. I will report back on how long these stay on/creasing.

I love this shadow. I use it mostly for layering and it always seems to blend so well with other colors. It lasts a pretty long time too. The only complaint I have is about the packaging..all Maybelline e/s case are very cheap and seem to get all over everything. Will repurchase though!<3

Defff one of my favorite Maybelline shadows. I normally use it as a highlight since it can go on really sheer, but if you layer it, you get a nice light shade of silver. Staying power’s great if you use a base, like most things. I’d buy it again if I ran out, which I doubt I will because these come with quite a lot of product for how cheap they are.

This review is for the re-formulated version of this shade. Maybelline did an impressive re-vamp of their eyeshadow formula! Silver lining is nicely pigmented and softly textured/ finely milled. It is easy to get good color deposit. I use this color as a base color for many different looks–it is very versatile and looks good with a variety of crease shades. The soft silver color isn’t too intensly cool–there isn’t an overwhelming blue tone in it, so it looks good with my warm-ish coloring. Cheap as can be and decent quality. THe only thing Maybelline could really improve on is the flimsy packaging. Hope they increase the color range as well–these are nice! Would re-purchase when the time comes.
