Sorry to add to the poor ratings, but I am sorely disappointed in this pencil also:
Pros:
– Portable crayon, great for on the go
– Beautiful antique gold bronze
– Perfect complement for my green eyes
– Swatches beautifully on my hand
Cons:
– Expensive
– Needs sharpening, but doesn’t include a sharpener
– Cheap plastic cap doesn’t fit and close well from the get go
– Product applies patchily to my eye lids, has a waxy heavy feel, hard to blend
– Lasting power is very poor, it creases and sinks into lines
I tried hard to make this work because I do like the shade of this pencil and it’s a great option for travel, but alas i gave up.
The patchy result on my eye, combined with the fact that the plastic cap split on my very first trip is just not worth it.
Too bad I bought three shades of this product, and they all behave the same, unfortunately. Needless to say, I won’t repurchase.

I have just begun using this ; I am a green eyed blonde and I find this easy to apply, lines the eyes beautifully, enhances my green eyes and it smudges well with a good smudged brush in the first 30 seconds , it lasts all day and gives a real pop to my eyes without having to go for a really “made up” look – so I really don’t understand the low ratings on here at all – yes , its not a cheap pencil but its Swiss made and I wouldn’t want to put cheap products anywhere on my face ,especially not near my eyes .
If you want to build the colour and pop it into the crease line for extra drama , its easy to smudge it into the crease and build up the drama without having to pick up a liner pencil – I hunk I might try another colour – maybe in amethyst ?
I am a contact lens wearer too and I have had no reactions i.e. watery eyes.
I love it – I am a Charlotte Tilbury convert and have yet to buy a duff product despite the expense – I dont mind as long as products deliver and all hers do – watch the demos , they definitely helped me refine my technique for putting on just about everything including non Tilbury makeup .

I’m a huge fan of the CT line but this was a major letdown. It glides beautifully when testing on the hand, but when putting it on my eyelid it feels rough and actually hurts! It comes out really patchy and is hard to blend. After an hour or so it has completely sunken into the lines on my lid. Constant sharpening doesn’t help. A real disappointment.

I’m really sorry I got this. I wanted to try something from Charlotte Tilbury and finally caved and bought this eyeshadow stick. First of all, it swatches beautifully on the hand and the color looks gorgeous but on the eyes it is terrible. It goes on patchy, the color payoff is weird, it creases horribly and by the end of a few hours I had nothing but light areas of patchy color with a bunch of chunky glitter and darker creases left on my eyes. I tried this several times with different primers (NARS, Urban Decay, Too Faced) and got the same results each time. This product is so bad it makes me wary to try anything else from her line.

Like the previous person I also don’t like this product. It’s described as a daytime look but it’s not like that at all! Color is very dark with huge gold glitters in it. Goes on very nice, sets quickly and last a long time but it’s very sticky (need to put an eyeshadow on top). Wouldn’t recommend as a daytime shade but as an eyehadow to wear for a night out.

Oh dear. Totally succumbed to all the Tilbury hype when her line was launched and excitedly ordered this online.
This is a very dark cool toned golden brown. It’s darker than I expected and rather than a metallic sheen, the golden sparkles are gritty and more like glitter than a nice sheen. This looks nothing like it does online. I also struggled to blend this, as it does dry quite quickly. It went almost patchy on my eyelid as the day wore on, so that I was left with darker, ashy patches next to more golden areas. Although it dries and sets, the shadow seemed to make my eyes feel sticky.
I would not recommend. I wish I lived near a Selfridges so that I could have tested before buying, as it is I’ve wasted good money. The colour is blah, the texture is awkward and the golden sparkles are gritty and rather tacky looking–particularly in the daytime.
The colours, textures and blending ability of Laura Mercier’s caviar sticks (and even at a push Bobbi Brown’s too) are far superior to this product.
