I don’t know if I got a dud of this product, or just have different taste in eyelid primers. But I found this product useless. It had a thin, watery consistency, and made my eyelids almost wet and slick, rather than tacky and primed for eyeshadow. If anything, it made my eyeshadow application worse, and didn’t contribute at all to longevity or performance. The hard plastic packaging would also be impractical to get all the product out of. I much prefer Rimmel’s eye primer.

This is my favorite eye primer. I have very oily lids so I prep with Skinfood’s Peach Sake Serum – applied to the oily spots of my lids only while I’m applying my regular skincare routine.
I particularly like Etude House’s Proof 10 primer as it does a much better job of priming my undereye for concealer. It’s very neutral – not moisturizing, not oil controlling. Pretty much a perfect formula to be pared with the rest of my skincare products already in use.
I’ve used both TFSI and UDPP in the past. UDPP requires nothing extra, but it can be drying to my undereye and brow area. TFSI doesn’t dry the surrounding tissues, it can sometimes feel a bit greasy and it separates and I hate dealing with that. TFSI needed the extra boost of oil absorbing power from my Skinfood serum just as the Etude House Proof 10 primer does. During summer or extra humid months I’d also add a dab of Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfecter which is also used on my T-zone, jaw and neck. It handles the extra oil pretty well.
I don’t particularly care for the doe foot applicator, but there are ways around that. The primer is also incredibly inexpensive, about $7 on Amazon, and a little bit goes a long way. I’ve got a backup on my way right now.

Fantastic eye primer for the price (!!$4!!). It performs just as well if not BETTER than my urban decay primer potion & contains 10ml!
I have had mine for over a year now, using it almost everyday and it’s still full of product!
It doesn’t dry out my eyelids like the UD Primer potion too. It works especially well when packing on mattes…it just makes them more vibrant.
I have ALSO used this with the NYX Jumbo Pencil in MILK with colourful shadows and it has been a major success in every way.

I didn’t expect my eye shadow to stick to well onto my lid after priming with this product because of it’s very smooth texture. Not only that, but it helped the concealer under my eyes last a lot longer as well. It’s such an inexpensive product that does its job really well! I highly recommend it – from the applicator (long handle and doe foot applicator) to the texture and its lasting power. In terms of enhancing shadow colours, I don’t seem to see a difference. It also applies clear once you buff it out so you won’t have to worry about it affecting your shadow colour.

This is my favorite eyelid primer since it keeps my eye makeup budgeproof all day, it’s affordable, spreads easily, doesn’t irritate my lids, and it doesn’t dry out or emphasize the dryness of my lids. I’ve tried L’Oreal, NYX, Milani, Wet N’ Wild, Urban Decay, and Too Faced. The Urban Decay one had a much more tackier consistency, which my eyelids couldn’t stand. If you have oily lids, you’d probably want something more matte and adherent, but for someone with normal-dry eyelids like me, this is great.

I was looking for an inexpensive primer after I ran out of my Milani and discovered that they weren’t selling it on Amazon Canada anymore. I came across this one and was encouraged by the reviews so I decided to take a chance. I got it in the mail just in time for New Year’s Eve and I used this for my NYE party and even after several hours of eating, drinking and general partying, my blue smokey eye looked perfect and the color hadn’t faded one bit!
My only quibble is the packaging; I wish it weren’t bulb shaped because I can see this getting annoying when I’m trying to scrape out the last bits of product. But I needed very little product to make my eye look last and last so that’s an added bonus. I will definitely repurchase this because it did just as good a job as my Milani as well as Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

I’ve always struggled to find HG makeup products but I finally hit the jackpot with this one! It’s super affordable and it actually works! Forget all the brand name hyped-up eye primers on the market. This is all you will need. I once pulled an all-nighter and my eyeliner and eye-shadow didn’t budge! After 24 hours it looked like I had just applied my makeup! When you apply it to your eyelid let it dry completely (few mins) before applying eyeshadow.

I don’t use this as an eye primer, per se, since I don’t use any eye products. But I use it as a specific primer on areas where I tend to crease from either oiliness or dryness (or both – yaay, skin). I apply a little on my finger, and dab it on after moisturizer/sunscreen.
I usually apply lightly around my eyes, nostrils and the nasiolabal lines, and even a bit between the eyebrows if I expect to be frowning. It stops any product from settling and caking, and stops me from having to rub my eyelids and tiny lines to prevent foundation buildup when I move my face. It’s cheap and easy to carry around, so I think I’ll always have it handy. But for more general priming, I prefer The Ordinary’s High Spreadability Primer, or the Revolution Pro Aqua spray.

Texture reminds me of the urban decay primer potion; it goes on smoothly and dries clear. It isn’t sticky at all and doesn’t feel heavy. I think this eye primer is just ok; I don’t really think it does anything special to the eyeshadows I apply on top; if you want something more adhesive and with coverage, I would go for a paint pot.

This is seriously the best eye primer that I’ve ever used. Good pricing, the stick is unneccesary large, but the formula lasts all day for my eyes and even when I wake up after a night out, my eyeshadow is still the exact same as how I did my make up!
