By Terry Sheer Foundation is made more for dry, mature skin. I have oily skin. It looks great at first but oxidizes over time and looks orangey on me afterwards. It’s good for another skin type. Really does deflect the light to distract from wrinkles.
My skin texture was a little different with Dry Thigh X2 than my skin was with Thigh X1. One benefit for me is that my hydrating formula won’t kick in, which means I wouldn’t need to cover it up with too much of dry tissue. This is also a strong formula which means that I can apply far more pigmentation and foundation with no irritation.
My newer tan color is Olive. I use this for underneath all of the wrinkles that plague my skin. It doesn’t look the same as my velvety, bright and full-smell skin, but it certainly matches my otherwise flawless skin tone.
It’s worth noting that I moisturize my face in low light conditions and use the way I think I will. It doesn’t seem too bad. My skin gets a bit wet and dries as I wear it over the night. (This is how my skin can look pale when I wear thinned out t-shirts and jeans. It does not bother me too much.) I have no problems using the moisturizer. My skin doesn’t start to dry out the day I wear it and after it dry out I don’t feel the need to apply any moisturizer. It gives me more time to apply moisturizer.
I’ve never used them for other reasons besides dryness, after seeing how good they looked on a Monday, but after looking at the chart on the display page on the jar I think I think they are great for less great things in general. They do have a high vision when exposed to very high UV light. My favorite of all the alternatives is Hood Wrinkle Lite Pro (important step because you need to cut down on staining and drying oil), which I’m almost positive will do what the current hydrating formula does.

I think people are confusing them. The reformulation of Cover Expert, which added SPF, was a hot mess. This foundation is–was–perfection. Sigh**

This stuff makes my skin look fantastic! And it doesn’t make it break out. It is expensive, but looks great and is cruelty free, so I will keep using it. A little goes a long way which is good.
Why would anyone buy a bandage on themselves? It’s nice for some people and I’d love to have one here so I can wear it to work, so it was worth the one it cost. Definitely a nice addition to your jacket.
I wore one of these to my friend’s birthday party and it was so cute and so cute that I decided to order another one. They’re totally adorable but I guess I can’t claim to making them that.

Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to work for me. I break out every time I use it. The finish is quite nice, very natural and sheer, light coverage. The fragrance is quite strong at first but once you get used to it, it doesn’t bother much.

This is skin in a tube. Period. It applies beautifully. It’s like a whipped cream texture that completely and seamlessly blends into my skin. I have it in the lightest shade 1 and it matches me perfectly (I have very light skin). The smell is a bit too strong at first but it dissipates after some time. It stays on nicely. I apply in the morning and don’t have to think about it the whole day. I just love the packaging: tubes are very convenient. Nothing leaks from it and I can cut it open to get every last bit out. It is expensive but totally worth it in my opinion.

A sheer to medium coverage foundation that looks quite natural on the skin. It gives the skin a luminous glow – not the dewy kind. I have this in the shade 3, which is an ok match for my skin. The undertone is more neutral than beige. I feel that the foundation actually gets a bit brighter just after applying before settling to a more luminous glow half an hour after application. I used it with a matte primer underneath to extend the wear time, especially around my forehead and nose. It fades a bit after 8 hours, though bearing in mind I work in a hospital so it can get quite drying. On days off, I find it does last 8 hours with minimal fading. It fades off quite nicely, my blemishes are peeking through but nothing too drastic. Not sure how it would be for dry skin, but I currently have a bit of a dry area around my nose. This foundation is not drying nor hydrating for dry patches I find. Doesn’t cling onto dry patches too bad for now, though if they are really bad any foundation would highlight them! I also wear powder on top of this foundation, and it doesn’t diminish the glow too much. I prefer foundations that have sheer to medium coverage, but makes my skin look glowing and healthy. This foundation does all of that.
However, like many other reviewers have mentioned, the smell of this foundation is very strong. It smells like roses(?) Lingers around for half an hour also. Everytime I put it on I think ‘wow thats a strong smell’, but it wouldn’t put me off buying this foundation. I had this in a sample and loved it so when to get a full size bottle. Not sure how well the tube packaging is for this, however in the pot which had the sample foundation in, it was a bit liquidy. And its really expensive. Like £45 expensive. Plus the expiry date is apparently 6 months from opening. Who am I kidding!? I will never finish a foundation in 6 months, as I am going through around 6-7 foundations at the moment.
Currently really like this foundation. May consider repurchasing if it works for me over winter!

This is my absolute favorite foundation of all time – the finish is second to none. It gives the most perfect, natural, healthy, “lit from within” glow to the skin. There are absolutely zero visible particles, but it still makes you look healthy, blurred and even. It is the most realistic “real skin” foundation I’ve ever come across (and I’ve tried many). I wouldn’t recommend it for oily types – it shows it’s true potential on normal to slightly dry skin, but can be tweaked for combination to dry with proper skin preparation. It looks best on the skin that doesn’t have many textural imperfections. It won’t cover raised blemishes on its own, but it’s amazing at covering redness, discoloration and other imperfections which are at the skin surface level. I absolutely adore it. If you have relatively good/normal/slightly dry skin, and you’re looking for a light, natural, skin-like foundation that will cover your redness and make your skin look like a million dollars, look no further.

I am so darn old that I no longer not want to look as if I have flawless skin. Imperfections, some wrinkles and some sun spots are what I have earned, I do not want coverage that leaves me old-glamorous and perfect, but I do look for an undetectable foundation that has improved me to some degree.Older women who look untouched by time always seem to me to be advertising their make-up. You know the look.
By Terry’s Sheer Expert is a recent discovery that I hestitated over, as it is expensive, and the name made me wonder if it was going to do anything at all. It does, believe me. It produces, for me, exactly what I was looking for, that famous no-make-up foundation look that evens skin tone, covers blotches, does not settle in wrinkles, and is neither mat nor dewy. It also lasts, giving you sheer/medium coverage that does not change, at least on my dry skin. I also am a fan of Chantecaille Future Skin, but this gem is in a tube, portable, buildable, wonderful. I recommend it highly; it is pricey but worth it.

This has the same coverage and texture as Chantecaille’s JUST SKIN so I would not buy this again; I would just buy Chantecaille. This offers very little coverage, much less than Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer but of course you can add more layers. It does make skin look fresh. I bought in 3–too orange–and 7 which is a good match for my NC 20 skin tone. My tube has no scent so has the product changed?
It is good for my dry skin that I am suffering through during the winter months and has not irritated my rosacea. I definitely need a concealer with this because this offers very sheer coverage but sometimes that’s what I want. I spend a boatload on skincare so I want to see how well that’s going if you know what I mean. I really like the tube.

So after using this product my “love” fo By terry is going down.
Luckelly this foundation is not so expensive like Densiliss that’s why my disappointment is smaller but from the aother side effect is really worst than Densiliss.
What I dont like:
-package-normal tube for so much money-why no pomp?
-colours -many colours but for who? No 7 too light -next number too dark
-BT Cover oxidised! after few hours No 8 is going to orange tones!
-flawless face-yes sure!! but only 3 hours later you will get dry and old looking skin. Horrible matt
-smell-the most intensive from all BT product and there is too much parfume in it
-price -for so quality -overpriced
-Causes imperfection
No this is not the same product I have seen on Youtube 🙁

I bought this foundation because of the great reviews from all of my fave beauty bloggers. For reference I am NC25-NC30 and I got the shade Vanilla Beige #7. I have combo skin (oily nose and chin, dry forehead and cheeks). I do not have acne however my skin is sensitive and a lot of products cause me to break out. This foundation IS NOT full coverage. It can be built up to medium coverage but that took me a ton of layers to do. It is best applied with a beauty blender. I tried with and without a primer and the finish was the same either way. Wait for each layer to dry before applying the next layer to avoid the cake face look.
Pros:
Long lasting.
Color match was spot on.
Looks better with wear (it looked more natural after a couple of hours but not overly dewy).
Did not sit in my pores.
Looked natural when applied correct.
Cons:
Light to medium coverage (I prefer a more medium coverage).
Caused me to breakout.
Super expensive for what it is (paid $66.00)
You have to use a lot of product to get light-medium coverage.
It is really hard to find foundations that match my skin perfect because of my yellow undertone. Even though it matched perfect sadly I returned this and would not buy it again. It caused me to break out horribly and caused my skin to dry out. This foundation would be ok for oily skin that is not break out prone and for people who prefer a light-medium coverage. For the price I think you can buy a better product though.

After watching Ruth Crilly’s video using it i decided it was time to give it a go. I absolutely hated it. The name is very deceiving! The coverage was light-medium. Very thin foundation. The colour selection wasn’t great. I found it very drying on my already dry skin and I found it accentuated dry patches. Very overpriced- not for me at all. Would not repurchase.

I had this recommended to me after I was speaking to the Mecca consultant about issues I had with foundations showing dry patches. I like MAC Face and Body, which is great for dry skin, but I find the finish can leave my skin looking a bit dull (I’m a C3), and otherwise I use BB creams because the emolliency works really nicely on my dryish skin.
The consultant recommended this foundation to me and the colour was perfect (#9 Honey Beige) and the finish was really lovely. I’d say it’s a satin finish and doesn’t feel like you’ve got anything on. It’s a bit pricey, but I’m happy to invest in good bases if it makes my skin look amazing. Does have a slight lingering smell to it which is hard to describe, it’s not perfume but something else. The coverage is fairly sheer, which was fine for me because I don’t have too much to cover. Ultimately I’m just after something that evens out the skin tone and makes it look healthy; anything else I just cover with concealer.
After using this foundation for a while, I found it was great when my skin was behaving, but when my skin got a bit dry and flakey the foundation really highlighted it. Eventually I stopped using this foundation because of the way it emphasised any dryness in my skin. Shame because it’s otherwise a very nice foundation.

I bought this once and used the whole tube but was looking forward to it running out and going back to my usual Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (shade B10, which is perhaps slightly pale for me). I had this in no. 3 Cream Beige and for some reason the first time I had it, I wasn’t so keen. It was lighter coverage than I’d hoped, and I found it made me too shiny, rather than dewy, and definitely not velvety/powdery as other reviewers have commented. The colour match was great, however, and it feels lovely on the face, not heavy at all and kind of smooth?
ANYWAY, for some reason I was still searching for my perfect foundation (even though there was nothing really wrong with Chanel one) and a year later I decided to try this one again – whenever I looked at photos from the time I was using this my skin looked great. The first time round, it was the moisturiser (Embyrollisse) I was using was that was contributing to the shine I wasn’t keen on, and I had the wrong shade of concealer at the time also. (Moved from NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer from Chantilly (too white/ashy) to Vanilla).
Basically, with a bit of good concealer and good moisturiser this really is a beautiful foundation. I really want to try it with a blurring/longevity improving primer too (thinking of the YSL one) as I think it could look literally flawless. Saying that, one of the best things about this foundation is the way it sort of melts off/into the skin– it doesnt separate or group or oxidise, it elegantly fades!
I think it is kind of comparable to Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder, but this is less full on shiny, wears for longer, and has slightly more coverage — to me a slightly more refined version.
TL; DR: This is a beautiful foundation, I would describe the finish as satin-y/ dewy, with a light to medium coverage. Also, I really have not noticed the smell other reviewers have mentioned!

The most amazing foundation known to man lol. This is truly invisible, it’s AMAZING. I use shade 3 and it blends in to be a perfect match. It’s very light and seems concentrated in some way, so a tiny tiny bit goes a very long way. Yes, it’s expensive as hell, but because it’s perfection who can argue about price?
The only downfall? I wish they had packaged this in a different type of tube or even a bottle. Also, like all by Terry face products, the smell. Ewww. But it dissipates quickly so I can live with it to have absolutely perfect skin. I will repurchase this forever. Holy Grail.

This is fast becoming my most used foundation when I need something to stay put. I work in a fast paced retail environment and I can trust this to stay on my face all day with no need for touch ups. (I do prime and powder).
It gives a really nice medium coverage that makes me look almost flawless and settles into a nice ‘glow’ a few hours after wearing it (I have normal/combo skin). Overall, highly recommend.

Oh my word…the first time I applied this I thought I had exchanged faces for someone with perfect skin, it photographs amazingly and has a perfect texture.
Except, the sample I received was without the sunscreen and reformulation, and I thought after reading reviews, wait get another with the change before purchasing a high end foundation.
Well let’s just say heavy, unflattering, sinks into pores, difficult to apply, and the colour is just…off.
By Terry just stay with what works please, I used the original sample for a wedding and I was amazed, now I’m just sad…

I absolutely love this foundation. Love the texture – it applies smoothly and dries matte, but with a dewy finish. I know I’m contradicting myself here, but that’s true. This gives you an airbrushed look, and this really gives me a good skin day. The coverage is medium to full, perfectly buildable without caking up. The key is to apply in thin layers, leaving each layer to set into the skin first before reapplying. I have shades 02 (neutral) and 03 (light, but with a yellow undertone) as my skin is very prone to redness but shade 03 can sometimes be tad too sallow on me when worn alone. I add just a tiny squeeze of 02 to balance out the yellow in 03 and hello, perfect skin! Im lighter than MAC’s NC15 and this lasts all day without sliding off my face in humid weather, with a setting powder, of course! One of my HG foundations I am never without, as this just gives out a beautiful finish everytime.
