I used several large cotton pads on and woke up to find eye makeup smeared under each eye. Plus, my mascara was washable, not waterproof! Back to Clinique.

Was really good for taking off eye make up but the bottle ran out extremely quickly because a lot comes out at a time!

This is one of the worst eye makeup removers i’ve tried. Smeared my eye makeup into my eyes and left an oily burning residue that stayed in my eyes well in to the next day after using it the night before. Glad I got this free as a gift with purchase. Terrible…especially for a company that claims to tailor products for sensitive skin. The only EMR worse than this one is Clinique’s take the day off which irritated my eyes so bad they were red and puffy.

This removes mascara, but it’s annoying. You need to use a lot of cotton balls to get all the mascara off, while keeping the eyes tightly shut, then rinse it off and repeat with more cotton balls to get all or most of your mascara off. It’s just as irritating as other brands and it is quite oily. I can’t recommend it. I didn’t buy this – it came free with some mascaras. I’d never buy this again. I seriously would rather use soap and water before I’d use this again. It does work though if you don’t mind the mess and don’t have super sensitive eyes. Note: this did not give me a rash. I just don’t like it.
Update: I have learned to appreciate this. If you do one eye at a time you don’t have to keep working on it and using all the cotton. It’s not irritating to me if I rinse it off quickly. It does work and it’s about as good as the Vichy. I am grateful that I found two removers that my eyes can tolerate. I think the Vichy is slightly better.
Update July 24/19. I stopped using all makeup removers about a year ago when I realized they were all harmful to the delicate skin around the eyes. I cannot recommend even the mildest one. I use only Dove soap and warm water to remove makeup.

I tried this product as i heard it was a cheaper version of my lancome eye makeup remover.
Not a horrible product. A bit expensive for a drugstore brand, but it gets the job done. It does leave a greasy film, but i dont just stop my makeup removal process at my eyes. I follow up with removing my face makeup. And then do a cleansing wash followed by witch hazel and my moisturizer and night serum.

This is a great makeup remover that I keep in my bathroom for when I use waterproof makeup. I use Bioderma for non-waterproof products, but If I wear waterproof, I use this. It’s similar to me to Clinique sensitive eye makeup remover for waterproof, and also similar to Lancôme Bifacils, so if you use either of those, you might want to try this one.
Also, the smell is soft and non irritating, and it doesn’t sting my eyes at all.
I think the price is alright, like really less expensive that both options I stated before, however I think it’s still expensive for a drugstore brand, considering the fact that I kinda use a lot for each time I use waterproof makeup.

It’s a cheaper version of makeup remover I use from Lancome. Its takes off my makeup and doesn’t irritate my skin. The price is good too.

I love this product. Didn’t realize how well it worked till I was out of it and had to use something else. I bought mine at winners which made it an excellent value. It takes all my hard to remove eye makeup off without rubbing. Great product.

This product definitely works, especially on mascara… but it contains so many unidentifiable ingredients I am not really sure if I would want this on my face.

Bought this in a 2-pack from Walmart for about $10. I think it’s a pretty good price since Marcelle is a bit more expensive than regular drugstore cosmetics and I love this stuff!
Removes waterproof mascara very well. I put some on a cotton pad and press it gently on my eye for about 45 seconds, then lift and most of it is already gone without my rubbing. I go in with a cotton bud and roll the rest of the product out of my lashes. Haven’t lost any lashes while using this, also no irritation.
The only thing is that since this works on waterproof, it’s a little greasy, but it’s easy to wash off.

This is a decent eye makeup remover. It definitely does remove even my stubborn waterproof mascara, but it stings my eyes a bit. Most dual action or whatever eye mu removers remove waterproof mascara very well though, so I will opt for the ones that don’t sting (L’oreal)

This is the only eye makeup remover that can remove my waterproof mascara easily. I really like it, but it’s very oily. I’ll use this until I find a less oily makeup remover that does the same job.

I’ve used a whole bottle of Marcelle’s makeup remover and was very satisfied with it. When I ran out of it, I bought Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Makeup Remover because of all the great reviews I had heard about it. I started using it and that’s when I realized how great Marcelle’s makeup remover was! Compared to it, my Neutrogena makeup remover does little to nothing! lol
This product takes off everything after using a couple cotton rounds, even waterproof mascara. It did not bother me but I had to clean my bottom lashes again in the morning because I could see a little residue of mascara (my lashes are blond). Just be careful not to break the cap like I did cause it’s just a pain to use after a while. This lasted me about 4 months:)
*** EDIT: Bought another bottle of this, it’s still a great value.

It gets off every trace of waterproof mascara gently, with very few lost lashes, even for toughies such as CoverGirl Lash Blast, and with little irritation to my eyes. I’ve gone through about 3 bottles so far. I’m trying to repurchase but I can’t seem to find it anywhere right now! So sad.
A sales rep told me that sales from this makeup remover make up over half of their makeup sales! It’s that popular. The only thing I don’t like is that if I get the remover in my eyes, my eyes get a little foggy temporarily from the oil. Oh and it doesn’t travel that well – be sure to store it in a separate plastic bag because it will leak. But it’s the best and cheapest eyemakeup remover I’ve used so far for removing waterproof eyemakeup hassle-free.

Takes everything off! I am between bottles right now, can’t wait for payday, my bottle of rapeseed oil in the bathroom looks a little eccentric :s I find this eye makeup remover really cuts through the heaviest eye makeup applications and gets it all off. I usually apply with a cotton pad, and afterwards, will gently wipe off any remaining eye makeup (and eye makeup remover) with a dry pad. Works good on waterproof, too!

Horrible product! I tried it once years ago and I remember it leaving a greasy film on my eyelids and made them red and itchy. How is this for “sensitive eyes”?

This is my go to makeup remover since I have started wearing makeup pretty much. When we are young for some reason we love waterproof makeup as if it’s supposed to be a better deal, and this is seriously the only bad boy capable of doing the job.
It’s easy to remove make up if you wash with water, dry your face and use a make up remover. There isn’t much make up left to remove except perhaps foundation and the residue of black everywhere. So usually other make up removers can do a decent job. So what happens when it’s waterproof? Seriously this guy does it. I swear by this make up remover for 10+ years now at the least.
I have tried other make up removers by clinique and of course the ‘legendary’ drugstore brands. I want to switch over as I actually find the bottle expensive as opposed to the other reviews I am seeing! It’s pretty much $14 after taxes and last me never more than 3-4 months. That’s after blotting a cotton pad only three times. Which is great with the bottle screw top. Originally the bottle screw top was flimsier and easier to open up (danger when traveling!), then they had some push down/open one and tons was being wasted,… now they are back to the screw top but the whole entire cap is screw top so it;s super secure!!
I stock up like a mad woman on this make up remover when traveling as my job requires lots of make up and I can’t trust some brands overseas. So the cap is amazing cuz I don’t have to worry about it leaking in my zip loc bag like it used to. Now it never leaks, ever.
Also, this isn’t oily. I remember when I first started using it that the recommendation on the bottle or somewhere said something like rinsing/splashing water with face at least 15 times until it feels like you actually got rid of the remover. Otherwise you just volunteered to use an oil based moisturizer. But for removing make up this is much needed! All those years of eye make up – no one should be rubbing their eyes so hard.
So far I have not found a cheaper alternative but it works and products I swear by have been tried and tested in all scenarios possible.
Also – to add, a very big, big deal for me. This make up remover doesn’t sting my eyes at all and I have very sensitive eyes. On another note, what’s even more amazing is I can actually remove make up while wearing my disposable contacts without any sting or problems after rinsing! Now that’s magic if there was ever an emergency I had to switch make up over for my job. Just goes to show how gentle it is but a tuff worker.

this is actually my first eye makeup remover, so i can’t draw comparisons. for me, it does removes eye makeup easily. after you shake it up, the product stays mixed for a long time, which is good. it is a tad greasy, but does not bother me at all. however, i will not repurchase because it stings my eyes a little bit.

This is hands down the best eye make-up remover I have ever used (and continue to use). I couldn’t even tell you how many bottles I have been through by now. What I can tell you is I bought 4 bottles when I cashed in my Shopper’s Optimum points (high five, Canadian girls!). I hoard this stuff, it’s total HG. It removes my fluidlines, eyeshadow and waterproof mascara without any harsh ‘burning’ or ‘stinging’. I do have sensitive eyes and for some reason I find that oil-based eye make-up remover does a way better job than non-oil. I like that I don’t have to use very much of this either. Typically a bottle will last me 3 months, maybe longer. I use make-off (HG) cotton pads with this. You can find this on sale at SDM often, check it out! $12.99 CDN @ SDM.

I’m on my second bottle. I don’t notice any stinging what so ever. I shake the bottle well and it removes even two coats of waterproof mascara! What I do is soak a cotton pad and gently swipe over my entire eye and under then use a qtip and rub off any eyeliner. I leave my mascara to melt off with the makeup remove and wash my face. It works fine!
The stuff is cheap, does what it says! I use this only for my eyes and occasionally my lips. for the rest of my face I use Vichy Cleansing Lotion for Face and Eyes to remove the foundation and powder, etc. The only thing i dislike is the packaging. I would prefer a pump top or a smaller opening. When i bought this from Shoppers Drug Mart, it came with eye gel cream and sample foam face wash .
I introduced this to two of my friends. One loves it and threw out her L’oreal eyemakeup remover. The other one didn’t bother rebuying cuz she’s got super sensitive skin. she suspects this is giving her white bumpies. It didn’t do taht to me…but none the less. worth a try. Different strokes for different folks.
