I have used Equalizer for years and love this product. Sadly, Estee Lauder has discontinued it. Although they have new products that supposedly replace this, none are as light and dewy with great coverage. Double-wear is too dry (even the light version) and the new Perfectionist is a bit cakey. Has anyone found good replacement for this? Thanks.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amaceje from Perfect For If You Want Blush If you’re looking for a bunch of shades and you don’t have many, then this is the one! No hair shimmers! Great coverage to any skin tone. Perfectionism makes it super easy to use a stain wipe and make a lot of makeup. Great foundation and brush is well hidden and on my skin tone!! Would definetely buy again.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yardcheck from Perfect #1 I was looking for a lightweight after apply. It’s a great product! This is by far my favorite formula and feels great on my face. I use this with Day and Lash and have been really enjoying it since I started this. It really does add a little sparkle to my entire set for some slight after application. I use this in my foundation as well. I use it on my browline and in my eyelashes. My eyelashes are in great form to begin with. It’s definitely a choice for full coverage!
Rated 4 out of 5 by BryansG from Love this product! I want my foundation to stay well pigmented for me and no more this thing clogs pores. It works perfectly. All in all a lightweight too.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yusefee from Black, gloss and moisture tested (requires skin to form) On top of this, there’s “SMOKING” cream that washes out all the texture but when I put it into my foundation, it’s as silky smooth as the mousse on your cheeks.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lynn122 from Eyeshadow formula can’t have both Perfectionist and stain wipes That being said, they’re both great but the water is way too smoky. I’ve struggled to get, drop, or swirl even in air without trying these out. Even with a little extra rubbing done on my face, these skimmers still feel dry but have some of the much more familiar styling without clinging to dry stuff. I also love having coverage around my hair. They can shade a fair amount of hair and fall far off if cut off or brushed away. I like that this creates a tighter smooth covering which is recommended on foundation, powder, and foundation. However, at this point, I’m still skeptical on how these work but at least it looks good and the cover works. I’ll be honest, I’m a

Good: my perfect color match for my Asian yellow undertone, natural finish
Bad: coverage is pretty minimal, I use it only to even skin tone, doesn’t last very long

After years of using mineral makeup but not being 100% satisfied, I’ve been on a search to return to liquid foundation. Having tried numerous samples from Lancome, MAFE, MAC, . . . I’ve finally found my perfect match. Natural coverage, perfect shade, and it meets the needs of my combination skin. With a little Double Wear pressed powder buffed over a couple trouble spots with a brush I am very pleased with the results.

Made me break out sooooo badly. This is not for acne prone skin. Everywhere I sprayed I had huge pimples the next day. I gave it to a friend and she gave it back saying it broke her out terribly. She doesn’t even have acne prone skin like me! Something in this must be very pore clogging or irritating. To be honest even if it didn’t break me out I would have given it away because it’s very sticky and left me with a major sheen on my face that I had to rinse off. Even though I rinsed it off after I sprayed it on, I still broke out like crazy… Think about that. I would patch test this if you buy it, and only buy it if you have very dry skin or plan to use it in the winter.

OMG! LOVE! I would die without my Equalizer. This is hand down the best toner. They use this at the spa where I get my facials. I’ve been using it for well over a year and it remains my HG. I love the spray bottle, I love that it’s not heavily scented, but smells light and fresh, I love how it preps my skin for my serums and adds a little bit of extra hydration. It has no alcohol so It’s not drying at all. I use this with the Mositure Positive cleanser and it’s great for my combination/dry skin.

I’m not exactly sure how much these products are, but I got a small-sized kit with some of Bioelements products as a part of my beauty school kit, and the equalizer came with it.
One day after I had been out in the sun too long and still had to go somewhere later that night, I came home to wash my face and prep it for makeup again. Since my skin was so sore and sensitive from the sun, I used the Decongestant Cleanser and the Equalizer because my regular products are for fighting acne and I didn’t want them to burn my skin even more.
Very nice smelling products, extremely fresh. The equalizer felt like a rain mist sprinkling my skin, however…I broke out the next day!
I thought maybe it was because of the sun, but I tried using the equalizer again a few weeks ago and once again, I broke out because of it.
However, this has done wonders for my dad (who is 45). Maybe it’s just not for acne-prone, oily skin like mine.

This is one of the products in my “Great Skin In A Box” for combo skin and it’s an “ok” toner. The spray application is nice, no cotton balls to throw away. I only need about two sprays if I don’t miss. The smell is soothing and my skin soaks it right up. I’ve been using these products for a month now and see no significant improvement, I’ve been actually experiencing more flare ups and lots of blackheads. I don’t plan to repurchase because I want to try the Origins line next.
*Update: after a few weeks of use, the pump broke. Then I thought of something..you know when you use a cotton ball you can see the dirt swept off your skin? Well with this, I feel like I’m just rubbing it around with the moisturizer I put on afterward. Plus the fact that as expensive as this line is, it isn’t paraben free and/or environmentally friendly.

I love this product. I have extremely acne prone skin (use Retin A Micro pm, Duac am, Doxycycline 100mg BID) and this product feels fabulous on my face. I really like the spray application – I feel like it is a)sanitary and b) conserves product. The scent is light and fresh. No stinging with application. I find that 3 sprays covers my whole face. This product is very moisturizing but does not appear to clog my pores (I have been using it for 3 months now). I have and will continue to repurchase.

Pros:
1. Spray applicator. So easy to use. I’m somewhat of a clean freak and feel this is more sanitary.
2. Gentle. I’ve tried half a dozen other toners with alcohol. No harsh ingredients as far as I can see.
3. Hydrating. Every now and then, I get dry patches/flaking and this has solved my problem. I can even go without moisturizer.
Cons:
Maybe too moisturizing? While this feels good on my face, I started getting mild acne, which is rare for me!
Now continuing the search for a suitable toner…

I’ve been using Bioelements products exclusively for the last 2 years and love all the products I have tried. If you have sensitive skin, have your esthetician put a few drops of calming fluid into it. Smell is wonderful…light and refreshing.

This foundation is light, semi coverage, and great for everyday and night outs (with some powder). I didn’t have any problems with it, but I did not use it everyday because sometimes it did clog my pores, I usually switch from foundations to powders to tinted moisturizes so my pores will not clogg. The shade that I had was perfect and it also looked like I was wearing no make up at all which is always a plus for me because I always try my best to look natural with make up. Overall great foundation and I continue to use the product to this day, this would be my fifth year enjoying it.

Skin color : Mac NW 15, For this product: 1C1
Type: Combination oily
Condition: Mostly clear with the occasional spot and/or dry patch
Wear: Has a tendancy to slide into fine lines about an hour after application Fade from t-zone about 3 hours into wear. Texture: Looks like skin. Natural semi-matte finish.
***Update*** Returned this product. Am now trying Estee Lauder Double Wear Light. Will review it after a week or so.

I’ve tried several foundations from different department store brands and this is the one I keep coming back to. I really like it but since I like to try new things I’m on the hunt for a new foundation. My skin does well with it and I haven’t experienced any breakouts. I would recommend this for those with combination skin.

For the price and the fact that this is Estee Lauder, I was a bit disappointed with this product. I got matched with Pearl, which is most definitely the best match for my skin that ANY foundation has ever been, but this foundation isn’t right for me. I have to use so much of this to get a medium coverage (which I suppose isn’t their fault because it does say sheer to medium on the bottle) but I had to use quite a lot to get my face fully covered. I also find that this foundation doesn’t stay for very long, and it sort of just disappears off my face after a few hours. Smells lovely, beautiful packaging (mine is the tube version) but this really is too lightweight for me and I like having a medium to full coverage – this just can’t provide that for me. Sadly, I only wear this to school because it’s so sheer and unnoticeable. I will never repurchase this again.

I’m on my second bottle of this. I love the spray packaging, it’s quick and easy to use as much or little as I need. I find it refreshing, and slap my moisturizer right on top on it while it’s still wet. I have sensitive acne prone skin, using accutane and this doesn’t upset my skin at all. Love love it.

This is one of the my favorite products from Bioelements. The method of using this product is a light spritz spray and I find this to be very easy. I prefer it over using toner with a cottonball or cotton pad. The spritzing method just absorbs into the skin. The cirus scent is invigorating and I believe the prodcut makes my skin feel refreshed. I wouldn’t go a day without using this and it’s one of my favorite steps in my cleansing regimine. I use the twice daily cleansing bar before using this and it makes my skin feel less tight after cleansing. I’m very surprised at the so-so reviews on this prior to my review, as this is something I’ll probably continue to use for years to come.

i’m in the middle w/this product. it’s suppose to calm your skin when you use the kero. mask but i barely use it and I can’t tell if there is a difference if i use or don’t. I won’t buy this again since i have the traveler size, and it’s been almost a year when i bought it. Blah

this is a really good liquid foundation. It has a natural finish, and i would say its mostly for normal/combination skin types. Great for sensitive skin like my own, since its fragrance free. Its hydrating and oil controlling because its not matte and its not radiant either, so i guess the natural finish of this makeup gives it the ability to hydrate and oil control at the same time. Since the coverage is sheer to medium, its good for summer months also. You can never get a full coverage out of this one. If you want a full coverage option the double wear would be the best. I love that its so sheer it lets your skin show through. I would say the coverage is similar to that of an oil free tinted moisturizer, which some people really wouldn’t like in a foundation. The sheer coverage is great for me because it doesn’t look like i’m wearing anything on my skin, and it feels lightweight, plus i really want to focus on skin care at this point in my life. For reference my shade is 5N Sienna.

This was the perfect replacement for me when EL discontinued their Enlighten product, but alas it is also being discontinued (confirmed by EL). You can still get most colors (but not mine, grrr) on the EL website – so if this is your foundation I suggest you stock up now.

I love the way I look when I use this foundation. My color is Pearl. I apply it with my fingers and blend. Then I use a small amount of double wear foundation (1C1 Shell) on areas that I know I need some extra coverage or staying power. Then I set with loose or pressed powder. I think it makes my skin look flawless and it is such a great color match for my fair skin tone. Love it and will definitely repurchase.
