I like that this product is available at CVS. I started using it because I prefer sulfate free shampoos and I’ve been having a lot of scalp issues (dryness, etc.) and I was hoping that using a product without fragrance would help the problem. It didn’t seem to make a difference with my scalp, and I also felt that it didn’t do a very good job of cleaning my hair. Most shampoos you can just apply to some of your hair, and the shampoo will run through the rest of your hair to clean it. With this shampoo I felt like it only cleaned the area it was directly applied to, so I ended up having to apply it everywhere. I won’t be repurchasing if I can help it!

It takes a lot of product to get a lather going, so I use a lot. It doesn’t have any slip to it, so you can’t spread it around easily to clean every spot. It does a good job of cleaning the hair and rinsing out, so it’s a good no-frills shampoo. I’ve been using this for 2 weeks along with the matching conditioner to let my scalp and neck heal from an allergy breakout. This has worked nicely. My skin feels good. I don’t really like the conditioner that much, but the shampoo has been no issue. Clean hair, scalp doesn’t hurt. I will use this again. I like that I can buy it locally.

This clear shampoo is free of dyes, fragrance, masking fragrance, lanolin, protein, parabens, formaldehyde and other preservatives. It is also sulfate-free, betaine-free and gluten-free. It has relatively few ingredients compared with other shampoos.
Although the packaging says it’s recommended for all hair types, it also says it “controls oily scalp” so it may not be appropriate for those with dry hair and/or scalp, or at least not on a regular basis.
The label says it “removes build up from conditioners, hair sprays and other hair care products…”
This seems to make the shampoo clarifying.
I use it together with the matching conditioner occasionally. It’s too drying to use for my weekly shampoo.
