I really like this shampoo and conditioner but I don’t think it really stains my hair that well. It might be because I have henna in my hair but it does help prolong the color of the red henna that is in my hair even though it’s the purple kind. I got the purple in sample form at sally’s for a dollar. I thought I might try it out. It does make my hair feel nice. Do not get it in your eyes though. It hurts so bad and it’s worse than getting sun screen in your eyes. I’ve used it for a few weeks now and I have a bit of pink in my hair from it. I was expecting that since it says that it does stain the hair. It’s supposed to be Purple though. It comes out magenta though.

My heart breaks that this product doesn’t work as promised. As a girl who dyes her hair various shades of purple, violet and plum I was ecstatic to find out about this Shampoo and Conditioner at Sally’s. I had freshly dyed my hair (same color as I had before) and used this shampoo and even though it had color depositing in it (my hands and tub were plum when I used it in the shower) I noticed my hair had faded drastically once it had dried. To the point I had to put a semi permanent color on top to bring it back to life. I had freshly dyed it that week too which made me very frustrated. I was so confused that this had happened so I looked over the bottle more carefully. It contains SULFATES! Why would they even think to include sulfates in a shampoo that deposits color. This defeats the purpose of the product and everything that it stands for. If they took this product and made it sulfate free I bet it would be wonderful. Such a shame. I am in the process of trying to get my money back from Sally’s since it cost me $10 a bottle!
