Unfortunately this sulfate-free shampoo left my scalp itchy and flakey. I also think the creamy, moisturizing formula was a little too heavy for my fine hair. All of that aside, it is one of the best sulfate-free shampoos I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a LOT, both high and low-end. This one lathers, detangles, and moisturizes really well. FYI, this has synthetic fragrance added, so if you’re dedicated to a completely natural/organic regimen, then you probably won’t care for the fragrance. The matching conditioner also has amodimethicone, so if you’re doing the curly-girl method, you’ll want to skip the conditioner.
My hair: fine, 2A waves, dry ends and oil (and sensitive) scalp.

My daughter wanted this shampoo when we saw it at Whole Foods, and since I noticed it was sulfate-free, I bought it. (I have been using ONLY sulfate-free shampoos for about 3 years now.) I can’t remember what we paid for it, but I know it wasn’t cheap at Whole Foods. I am super-impressed with the performance of this shampoo, and will buy it again for sure. Just a small amount is needed for it to explode into a luxurious lather with a pleasing scent. My hair is clean and conditioned without being weighted down. (I have short, fine, hair- but a lot of it- per my hairdressers.) My daughter loves this shampoo, too; and she has long, fine-medium textured hair. Depending on what type of water you have (hard or soft), you may not even need a conditioner afterwards. I would definitely recommend this!

A lot of sulfate free shampoos have been really stripping for my bleached fine hair, but this one’s amazing. It’s so moisturizing that I can skip conditioner, and it doesn’t weigh my hair down or make my scalp greasy either. Comes in a plastic squeeze tube with a flip cap, cheap (3$ for 3oz and 9$ for 6), and it smells great. Lathers really well too that I only need a quarter sized dollop to clean my long hair.
