Finally throwing this out. Have had it for at least 3 years. It does absolutely nothing for my hair and makes it feel dirtier. There’s no soaking up of oil, giving volume or texture, etc. Sadly it contains a lot of product but I simply can’t make myself keep it around. Also the nozzle doesn’t work at all, so I have to unscrew the lid and sprinkle some on my hand. For a non-aerosol dry shampoo I prefer the Bumble & Bumble or the Big Sexy hair ones.

I’ve repurchased this dry shampoo several times now- awesome salon product at a phenomenal price ($16). It’s a loose powder shampoo, not an aresol spray, so it may take a little getting used to if you’ve only used the latter. I love that the applicatir tip is pointy like a hair color tint bottle- i can use it to part my hair as I apply the powder. I find tapping the bottle to dispense the product way easier (and much less messy) than squeezing it. I use this dry Shampoo before bed to soak up oils while I sleep and wrap my hair into a top knot. In the morning, all I have to do is unwrap my bun, brush out my hair, and maybe use a little shine serum on the ends. The powder blends in with my black roots, even after using it 3-4 nights in a row.

This is probably my current top dry shampoo product (I alternate with this between Klorane). I need to use dry shampoo on the second day hair, and this shampoo keeps it looking fresh. It doesn’t add much volume in the sense of ‘tackiness’ that the Klorane (and other) dry shampoos give that can give it the vavavoom, but it gives it the cleanest feel. Purchased on a visit while in a Canadian Sephora when I found out shipping Klorane dry shampoo to Canada was going to be heinous, but I don’t regret this at all and will repurchase.
Again, keeps hair feeling fresh and clean. The applicator tip is disappointing, because it takes practive to not dump too much onto the hair. I’m planning on putting this into an empty Klorane non aerosol applicator, since the manual puff mechanism is great. However, if you are careful it’s okay. Gotta love the millennial pink ‘glossier’ type color and minimal look of the packaging though, definitely a cute addition to my dressing table.

This is definitely a Holy Grail product! There are a few nuances to this product, but the results are just too good to complain. I have very oily hair that I wash every other day. If I don’t apply dry shampoo, my second day hair is an oily-greasy mess. Having black hair, it’s nice this product does not leave a grey/white cast. Like most powder dry shampoos, it’s best to apply this at night before going to bed. When I wake up, my hair is not oily at all, nor is there any weird residue or build-up feeling.
It’s a very fine white powder that distributes through your hair well and absorbs oil fast. It has a very light fresh scent that is not overpowering at all; you probably won’t smell anything unless you put your nose directly to it. The bottle comes with a nozzle which makes applying the dry shampoo much easier. However, be cautious! Because it is a very fine white powder, it tends to pour out the nozzle like a liquid if the bottle is flipped upside down too fast. Also, never squeeze the bottle as too much product may spew out.
I like to take sections of hair that get the greasiest and sprinkle this near the roots. I’ll let it sit for a few minutes before massaging it in. Try not to apply this directly to your hair part, otherwise you’ll get a white spot on your scalp. If this does happen, it just takes a bit of extra massaging to get the white spot to disappear. If your hair is very greasy when applying, you’ll notice it begin to ball up after massaging this on your head (that’s the powder absorbing the oil). I usually pat/tap my hair a few times to get rid any visible clumps. Lastly, when applying, make sure to wear a shirt you don’t mind getting powder on (it’ll wash right out, but it won’t brush off that easily without leaving a bit of fine powder residue).
There are definitely a few application tips to be cautious of, however, the results are so amazing I really can’t complain. Compared to other dry shampoos, the price of Verb’s dry shampoo is affordable (about $12-14 for 2oz).
I definitely love and highly recommend this product. However, I probably won’t be purchasing it again because I found a cheaper solution that works just as well. The main ingredient in Verb’s dry shampoo is Tapioca Starch; so I decided to experiment and bought a 14oz bag of tapioca starch for $0.78. Holy cow! The tapioca starch worked just as well and is significantly cheaper. But don’t let this last part/alternative solution dissuade you from buying Verb’s dry shampoo because Verb’s product is outstanding and highly recommended.

I’ve tried a few Verb products and enjoyed them immensely for their high quality and low cost. I was hoping the same would go for their Dry Shampoo, but I was very disappointed. On the positive side, the product did seem to eat up oil, but it was very messy! The powder got everywhere to the point that it look like I had stuck my head in ashes. The only thing I could do to get rid of it was to wash it out! Part of the instructions said to brush it, but now I am unable to clean my brush of the product. Although the product is cheap ($14 for 2oz at Sephora), I cannot recommend this product due to the mess it creates.
