Not for me. I have mid back length hair that’s oily at the roots but pretty much normal everywhere else. This shampoo left my hair feeling like there was residue left behind after shampooing twice and letting it dry. It also left my roots flat and my ends waxy instead of airy and light. I gave it 3 lippies for the scent which is slightly floral, the texture which is creamy and the fact it was gentle and non-stripping. It doesn’t lather as well because it’s more gentle. It’s true you don’t have to condition with this but I found that any good conditioner pairs well with it. Won’t be repurchasing based on how it makes my hair feel and price. If you have drier hair than I do then you might like it better than I did.

Didn’t want to like this. It’s insanely pricey. But wow, it is probably the most beautiful shampoo I’ve ever used (40 years old, have used everything, basically). The smell is lightly floral. The texture is white and creamy, not too runny, not too thick. It suds very subtly, and I quite like it that way! Feels so natural, like minimal detergents or stripping agents. So the lather us not apparent, and that’s a good thing. I shampoo twice then rinse, and I would rather not put conditioner on, because of how wonderful my hair already feels! I have NEVER in my life felt like I could/should go without conditioner. But I swear my hair felt more hydrated than it does when I slather on conditioner! I just sprayed some leave in conditioner, Davines Oi because Oi is/was my absolute favorite s+c for YEARS. I will likely continue using my Oi and this, because THIS shampoo is beautiful. I also tried the masque quintessence and OH boy that was gorgeous as well! The smell is like a HUGE BOUQUET OF FLOWERS! Very hydrating and very luxurious smelling. This is my first experience with Leonor Greyl products and certainly won’t be my last.

This is a light, non-sudsing shampoo with a terrific light fragrance. It does not strip the hair. It’s easy to use a lot of product at first, because I keep expecting it to suds up, so be fore-warned:)
Definitely will buy again!

Wonderful shampoo! Extremely moisturizing and adds fullness. After a few uses, I relegated my Kerastase to the cabinet of failed products. A bit pricy, but if you can’t afford a conditioner along, it’s moisturizing enough. I have thick, frizzy hair and I don’t need a conditioner when using this. I can’t possibly imagine how some reviewers are saying it’s not moisturizing. I’m biracial and this is probably the most moisturizing shampoo I’ve ever used. Also, the reason you have to work up a lather is because it doesn’t have detergents in it, which is a good thing. People tend to sacrifice health, for what they deem to be “clean”.

Not a fan of this stuff. I got a pretty generous travel size tube in one of Net-a-porter’s beauty boxes and took it with me on vacation this summer. The first time I used it, it didn’t foam up at all, not even when I went in and did a second wash. Now I personally like to be able to get up a lather and, while I know suds don’t equal cleanliness (more likely they indicate the presence of sodium lauryl sulfate), there’s something about this formula that just feels off. It left my hair looking lank and dull and feeling palpably unclean. It also made my hair really flat at the roots which was, needless to say, not a flattering look.
So at first, I thought maybe it might have something to do with the quality of the local water where I was staying. After all, hard water will make just about any shampoo suck. But after using this shampoo in three different cities across two different continents, I think it’s safe to say that the formula is the problem. Texture-wise, this shampoo is actually quite pleasant – very smooth and velvety, sort of like whipped honey but without the stickiness. But it fails on account of the fact that it doesn’t meet the basic requirement of any shampoo which is to clean your hair. If anything, this actually made my hair feel dirtier, like I needed to shampoo it again after using it.
Needless to say, I won’t be buying the full size version. I wanted to like this product but it just didn’t deliver.

I have decided to take a chance on this shampoo and the pre-shampoo oil of the same brand and I am positive that I will not wait until I run out before getting this products again. They have just changed my hair! I have been using them for three weeks and I am so pleased with the results. They are odd to use because they are different from what people usually use. This is how I use them: I put a very small amount of oil on the length of my (long) hair, brush it through with my boar mason pearson hairbrush and let it sit for a while depending on what I am doing (house cleaning cooking…) than I will run a bath and whilst in it, I will wet my hair, add a little shampoo no crazy panthene foaming there! Rinse and proceed again, the second time the shampoo foams more and is easier to manage. Don’t forget to add a little water as you go. I will let the foam sit on my hair while I scrub and will give it all a super good rinse while finger combing my hair. I went from shampoo+ mask+ detangler with still very knotty hair to great manageable shiny hair with this two products. Considering the amount of money I use to spend on a variety of hair products which did not give me amazing results, I am actually saving money with these in particular when bought when I get a Sephora discount

This is one of the worst shampoos I’ve ever used. Luckily, I received a sample of this with a recent purchase – I can’t even imagine paying $45.00 for this overpriced crap. Others have noted the smell, but that was the only thing I actually like about this shampoo. It smells like a floral perfume. It doesn’t lather well at all, and is very difficult to apply evenly to long(ish) hair. After I finished blow drying, my hair looked very dry and frazzled. This is $45.00 dish soap in nicer packaging with some perfume thrown in!

i see so many good reviews about this product. i am finishing my 1st bottle, it lasted for approx 2 months, though i wash my hair 2-3 times a week. So it’s damn expensive ! The only thing i like about this shampoo- it’s smell. Just adore it. But nothing else ! It should be exactly for my hair, long and dry ends. But my hair after cleaning have only a good smell. They are so rough and seems to be so dried out ! I’m finishing it and i’m done with it. Would never buy again.

I went to the store to buy Leonor Greyl Bain TS shampoo and the sales woman advised this Bamboo shampoo but then she looked for it and said-“oh I’m sorry, we’re out of stock”. So I bought Bain TS, but she gave me a sample of Bamboo shampoo. I tried the sample at home and I loved it so much, my hair was so shiny and manageable. My next shampoo purchase will be this Bamboo shampoo.

Bamboo shampoo differs from shampoo I used. Water should be added gradually as you massage a scalp. Although sodium laureth sulfate is listed among the ingredients, there is not much foam. It is advised to rinse hair thoroughly. Failure to do so may result in dull hair.
This product has got a strong smell of old perfume. I am not sure whether or not I would buy it again.
