Although I love the smell of this deodorant I cannot use it any longer. It makes me so irritated and itchy. I’ve tested it multiple times and every single time I use it, I get so itchy I can hardly stand it. I wish I could use it because it goes on so smoothly and smells great. It’s probably great for some people but it’s just not for me.

This is now my HG of natural deodorants. I thought I was stuck using a regular deodorant but this has actually been working like a champ for me! No b.o. bust-through after being active and sweaty for a whole work day. I am going to put more faith into the power of coconuts because I haven’t had any irritation in my pits since I switched to it.
I first bought the original, which smells really nice but the scent sometimes clashes with other scents, so I also got the fragrance free. The cylinder shape of the stick is a novelty and looks neat out on my vanity. I will definitely be trying some of the other scents as well.

UPDATE: This causes major flaking in my underarms. It looks like I have dandruff in my pits. I think it’s the product itself flaking, like dry wax, and not my skin, but it’s not good either way.
ORIGINAL:
This is really effective for me. I love the smooth, clear application, and I love that this helps absorb wetness. It’s not as good at deodoraizing as Megababe Rosy Pits, though. I have the “Coconut” one, and I think I’ll try the Gardenia one. I think it may have more odor neutralizing power. The coconut one has only a very slight scent. Frankly, I’m sick of the smell of coconut. The last several years it’s been put into everything everything from hair care to toothpaste. If you like the formulation of this, but you’re not so much into coconut pits, do try the Megababe Rosy Pits. The name is dumb, but that stuff works like traditional stick antiperspirant!

Pros:
– sturdy and functional hard plastic stick packaging
– not too bulky, and comes in a mini size which travels well
– stick formula doesn’t melt in moderate heat
– applies well without stickiness
– doesn’t leave white marks on clothing
– I didn’t experience skin irritation
– works reasonably well on most days
Cons:
– for me deodorizing effect is limited in prolonged heat or strenuous exercise
– somewhat pricey
So-So:
– the scent of the coconut variety is not my favorite part, I love coconut, but there’s something else mixed in that I don’t particularly care care for. But since it’s not too strong I find it tolerable and for me it’s not a dealbreaker – YMMV
Overall: as long as you don’t expect this stick to be keeping you completely dry – after all this is a deodorant and therefore by its nature it will not noticeably reduce wetness but it controls odor – this may work for you. As long as you can tolerate the scent that is. Personally, as mentioned above, it’s not my favorite, but I can deal with it, since the fragrance weakens on me after application, so it doesn’t clash with any perfume I want to wear. However, I feel it’s worth pointing out given how expensive this product is and how personal we all perceive scent. So if you’re sensitive to scents it may be best to try out a tester or start with the mini travel size of this deodorant. Application is smooth and I don’t notice a sticky residue. The Kopari Deodorant stick now comes in three varieties: the original coconut scent, as well as gardenia and charcoal, so I may try out these new scents next. .9oz/26g $10, 2oz/57g $14.

There’s a lot of hype on this deo and initially I thought it lived up to it. Goes on smooth without irritation and nicely scented. After a month of use, I noticed it was causing my skin to darken and it stopped working as well. Tossing the rest and moving on to another.

Picked this up because it’s tooted to be the absolute best natural deodorant. First off it smells delicious, and the smell stays throughout the day. Now, it does help a lot with the smell of my armpits through out the day but it no way does it keep me dry/smell free all day, but I think at this point I don’t think a natural deodorant is possible of doing that. I can say that this AIDS the MOST is my underarms out of all the other natural deodorants I’ve used. I use this on a casual day but would never reach for this on a very hot day or if I’m going to an event or gym.

I am giving Kopari deodorant a low rating, because it caused stinging and a rash. However, I admittedly have sensitive skin, so I cannot speak for how it would work for someone with less reactive skin.
I have used Avon’s Cool Confidence anti-perspirant for more than 20 years. It does not irritate me. It has aluminum chlorohydrate and I’ve wanted to find an alternative with no aluminum.
I’ve tried many natural deodorants, but all that had baking soda irritated -burned- my skin within an hour. I had high hopes for Kopari.
The application was very smooth. It glides on with no pulling or dragging.
After about four hours (I used it on a Saturday), my under arms began to sting. I went to wash it off and noticed the whole area it had been applied to was red with small bumps. It is the next day and my skin is red still.
I can report that it did stop odor. It did not stop a bit of wetness, but since it is only a deodorant, I didn’t expect it to.

Sorry to bring the rating down, but this did not work for me at all! I wish it did, but I developed bad BO with this. I am about as active as a sloth lately, too. I used and loved La Vanille and Native…going back to these two

HG natural deodorant! I’ve always used natural deodorants, and Weleda’s deodorant used to be my go-to but liquid spray on formulas were never my favourite, I much prefer roll-ons. This, however, ticks all the boxes! It keeps BO away successfully, goes on smoothly with no white marks, doesn’t cause irritation, doesn’t stain clothing. Packaging is also great, sturdy, doesn’t leak (I live in a hot climate and some roll-on formulas tend to melt and leak), and the product comes out nicely without getting stuck. The smell is not my favourite, it’s a rather odd strawberry/floral smell, but it isn’t strong nor does it linger.
Would definitely recommend and repurchase!
EDIT: I recently had a sweatier than average 14 hour day, and even though I re-applied this halfway through, it wasn’t quite strong enough to mask the slight stink. I don’t suffer from bad BO in general and I don’t usually need strong deodorants. However if you are, then I would give this a miss. I still love this deodorant though.

This is a heavy, solid deodorant so I can see why it costs $18 CAD. It also isn’t heavily fragranced like other aluminum-free deodorants which is nice for a change. It doesn’t contain aluminum, baking soda, or silicone. Having coconut and sage oils in this helps fight bacteria from forming so it actually works better than most others too. It won’t keep you completely dry like an antiperspirant would but it won’t plug your pores/glands either. As far as those “detox phases” go, I never experienced any funkiness, just a tiny bit of wetness when initially wearing this but I’m also at that “exciting” time of my life where hot flashes strike whenever they want. Now that my body has adjusted, I don’t feel even the slightest bit of wetness under my arms however, I might have some when the weather gets warm again. Even with the added hormonal changes I’m going through I can confidently say that the search for a natural deodorant is over. I think this one is the best of the bunch and is the only deodorant I use now.
