Made my fine long hair dry and tangly. It has protein so if ur hair is sensitive to that it will feel more dry and course.

Ok so I got a travel size of this in a free Ulta gift recently. It was my very first experience co-washing.
My hair is fine near the front of my head and more coarse near the back, quite thick and down past my shoulders. Blame my French Canadian ancestry for the split personality. I wash it every day because the front half of my hair will get oily otherwise.
Unwash feels like washing with, well, thick conditioner. It makes it so easy to comb after a shower, and it seems to dry faster too. But if I don’t use conditioner on my ends in the shower after using this, they feel dry.
The next day, my hair will look greasier. I can work with it and style it but I can see and feel the difference. But only the front! The back of my hair is just fine.
Bottom line, I get a smoother, less frizzy look from Unwash. My hair feels greasier though. After using this maybe five times over the last two weeks I can say I won’t purchase again. I bought the Pantene Moisturizing Cleansing Conditioner and that leaves me soft and not dirty looking.

Conditioner: This is a co-wash (conditioner washing) product. The conditioner itself is a bit like a gel – fairly thick and pearl colored. It spreads in your hair fairly easily. I’ve found it works better if I spead it in my hands and then run my hands through my hair, rather than putting a dollop on my hair and then trying to spread it. I found that if you dollop it, it will make a kind of greasy spot there when your hair is dry. You massage it into your scalp to get rid of dirt and excess oil. You can finger comb or wet comb, but I don’t usually bother. It rinses out pretty easily, but if you’re used to squeaky clean hair, you may think your hair is a little oily – takes some getting used to.
Comb out is really good. I have had fewer tangles than I usually have, and they combed out much more easily. I’m really happy with the detangling. I air-dry, and once dry my hair keeps soft waves, and has less frizz than usual. It’s not a miracle on frizz – I still have some halo frizz and some on the ends – but it’s better than usual. My hair has been soft with good “swing” to it. However, I find I still need regular shampoo about once a week.
This is an expensive product, so get a trial size, if you can, to see if it’s for you. Since you’re not using as much shampoo you will save some money, but it’s still expensive overall.
Scent: It has a very faint fruity scent, which fades quickly. I prefer unscented products, and I’ve been very happy with the lack of a strong scent.
Packaging: The bottle is kind of a weird shape – it’s like it has hips. The cap is a flat tilt type, so it’s easy to set the bottle on its top. The plastic is kind of stiff, so it’s easier to squeeze out what you need if you just leave it upside down. I noticed that their logo is the same rightside up or upside down. : )
My hair: bra-strap length, fine, half blond/half grey, wavy, dry ends, and frizzy overall. I live in warm, dry SoCal, with minimal humidity to deal with.
