Holy shine! I don’t know if it was this alone or the shampoo with it but ever since I started using it a few days ago, my hair has never looked so shiny. It looks as shiny as it does when it is greasy (minus the grease, of course).
I also love the smell of this… There really is hardly any smell except a hint of olive oil.
No, this conditioner has no “slip”… It almost feels tacky when you put it on your wet hair… It almost feels like putting a heavy moisturizing cream on wet hair. So it doesn’t detangle well or leave you with that slippery feeling. My hair feels squeaky-ish and almost “coated” when I get out of the shower but once I sort through the tangles and let my hair dry, it looks so dang healthy.

Unlike the matching shampoo, this conditioner had good slip. Unfortunately, it didn’t moisturize enough and left my hair fried and crispy-looking after air drying. It also didn’t prevent the terrible breakage caused by the shampoo. Not good at all for my 2b-ish curly, fine-textured, frizzy (much more so now after all the breakage) hair.

UPDATE (2012): down from 4 to 3 lippies, and not rebuying. Reason: change in formulation, for the worse. Irritation on skin on neck and back.
Very good conditioner; can also be used as a leave-in. Satisfies my admitedly basic requirements: hair should be detangled and smooth, not dry and frizzy; hair should neither dry out nor grease up at lightening speed; it should have some bounce, and not be limp or weighed down; surrounding skin (especially neck, back, face) shouldn’t be irritated. And the stuff should either have a scent that I like and that doesn’t make me sneeze, or no scent at all.
Fragrance-free, silicone-free, main ingredients are a water, aloe vera, and standard coconut-oil-derivative base; plus sunflower, linseed, olive, babassu nut, jojoba, and grape seed oils; and hydrolyzed soy protein and panthenol.
My one issue: if my skin’s being more sensitive, I can’t use aloe vera on it, inc. this Avalon Organics unscented range. Alas. But won’t be an issue for most people.
This is a fairly dense but creamy conditioner. Easy to apply. Rinses out well. Can also be applied to the ends as a leave-in (use just a dab). Mind you, this is true of many other conditioners too… It smells clean, that’s all. If you dislike the scent, there’s always the option of adding your own essential oil blend: add the oils, shake bottle well, and reshake before each use. I’ve also used this with a couple of drops of a DIY hair oil mixed in: varying proportions of argan, avocado, jojoba, and/or olive (current mix on notepad).
Hair here: long (bra-strap length), fine, dense/thick, slightly wavy, normal to dry, untreated (not dyed, textured, etc.; left to air-dry, no other products used other than Phytodéfrisant). Scalp can be sensitive, as can the rest of my skin, so I tend to favour unscented or minimally-scented products. I spent some quality time testing out unscented conditioners recently, as my eczema returned in patches: major ones on my neck.
Other unscented conditioners that worked (and a couple that worked in the past): Earth Science, Urtekram, John Masters Organics “Bare” (as good as Avalon, but 4x the price), Curelle RICHE and indeed their less-moist TRÈSLITE; less good on my hair: Jason, Whole Foods 365, Desert Essence (OK), NatureClean (ditto), and various others…
Cheap: around CAD 6.00-9.00 for a 320 ml bottle. Good packaging: green translucent plastic with flip-top cap. Cruelty-free, recyclable, and many of the ingredients are organic (worth knowing if you’re into that).

I really liked this. It doesn’t have the best scent but it conditions well for me. My hair is left soft and shiny which is nice. I even considered using this as a leave-in because it is light enough and would do a good job of controlling frizz. I have medium texured hair which is basically normal, and I have no problems with this building up or making my scalp itchy. I let it sit for a couple of minutes in the shower before rinsing. I think this is the best one from the line and is perfect for those who co-wash.

Surprised at the previous negative comment. Still, everyone’s hair is different and has different needs. My hair is untreated, long, quite easily tangled and needs conditioning without the heaviness that most ultra-conditioning treatments have, and this fits the bill perfectly! Plus, it’s really cheap. Quality ingredients with no nasty fragrances or irritating essential oils that many ‘natural’ brands seem to love… This is a no-frills, no-nonsense conditioning that does the job without weighing my hair down or causing any build-up. Definitely recommended. And: just a dab will be enough, so a bottle goes a long way.
One con however: the bottle design is not the most handy and this can be very slippery and difficult to open in the shower.

My hair is short, curly, and has body. This so-called moisturizing conditioner left it dull-looking, flat, and with no curl at all. I won’t use it again, and I plan to return it ASAP!

To start, I have bb1/bb4 ( or a 3a ( hair. This stuff did absolutely nothing for my hair that is in pretty great condition, I might add. It left my hair dry, frizzy, dull and in tangles which is a shame because I wanted to go the natural route, but I guess my hair just craves some ‘cones!

I don’t know if my bottle was spoiled, but this smelled really bad! I could not rinse it out fast enough and had to re-wash my hair!
