I give Paul Mitchell Marula Oil Conditioner a 5 out of 5 lipstick rating. If I could give a higher rating, I definitely would. From the very first use, I was able to notice the softness, tangle easing, shine boosting, and flawlessness in my own hair. Although I didn’t have much experience with this product in school because most people opted for Awapuhi Wild Ginger (Marula Oil was very brand new and just released), I used this on my own hair which is fine and straight and gained the knowledge of what this rare, cold-pressed oil was capable of without weighing my hair down at all. This conditioner is formulated with special Marulaspheres which adhere to the hair shaft and break open to release fresh boosts of marula throughout the day any time you brush or touch your tresses. I have never used such a moisturizing product in my own hair that maintained body and volume, stayed shiny but clean, and virtually turned my hair to silk. I recommend this conditioner for all hair textures (curl pattern), all hair densities (number or hair per square inch), and all hair thicknesses (diameter of each individual hair strand). There is not a hair type in the world that doesn’t need to be spoiled with luxury from time to time but I will say this conditioner is very okay to use every wash day. The only reason I stopped using Marula Oil on my own hair and the only semi-complaint I have with this product, is it’s cost. Although a little bit goes a long way, the price of this product is a little steep. However, with that being said, the Marula Oil used throughout this entire line is collected or harvested by indigenous peoples and Paul Mitchell makes sure each person involved is fairly compensated for their work and contributions. This rare oil conditioner truly is luxurious and although a little on the pricey side for regular use, it is worth every single penny because once again JPMS has created a pinnacle in luxury hair care. As with all JPMS products, Marula Oil Conditioner is never tested on animals! So, you should never test these products on animals either!

This is a fabulous conditioner! When first pumped out of the bottle, it doesn’t seem like anything special. It’s not especially thick or creamy (no more than any other conditioner, it isn’t dribbly or liquid-like), and is absorbed into my hair instantly. What results is a clean and easy rinse, and hair that doesn’t even need a detangling comb (my giant mane usually requires some effort to detangle gently and thoroughly).
After one week of use my dry-ish (with normal to oily scalp), fuzzy hair was left noticeably less fuzzy and shinier. I have wavy, very thick hair, and it did not weigh my hair down at all. I still required the use of a product to do away with all frizz, but I believe the s&c, plus oil have helped reduced the amount of frizz. My shortest layers sometimes look frazzled, even soon after a haircut, but this has kept them looking smoother and more healthy.
