   I tried this conditioner years ago, thought that it was really nice. The scent was a mix of vanilla+ play dough, however, it was not something that I found intolerable or strong at all. I do have a very sensitive nose and do suffer with allergies, and there are some products that Shea Moisture sells are awfully strong, and turn me off. But, not with their JBCO line at all.

   When I used it it impressed me quite a lot I didn’t use heat with it (which I normally do know when I do condition my hair). It conditions well, moisturizes well, and has a very nice amount of slip to it too. Now, the only reason why I didn’t continue buying it, was because I was a huge product junkie, always curious about trying new products, so for quite some time, I had strayed away from Shea Moisture. However, I am back using products from the brand. And, I definitely will re-start using this conditioner again for sure. It definitely is a product that I would recommend to anyone, no matter your race or what type of hair your have either. It’s perfect for anyone!

   I love this conditioner!
   The smell is amazing.
   It’s moisturizing yet lightweight and doesn’t make my hair oily.
   A little bit goes a long way.
   I will continue to purchase again and again.

   Trying to go the natural route I tried out the Raw Shea Butter conditioner from this line & my fine, color treated hair was left rough & waxy. I then switched to using the Almond Liquid Castile Soap from Dr. Bronner’s to wash my hair & decided that I needed an all natural conditioner to pair with it. The scent of this is warm vanilla which pair’s perfectly with the Almond Scent of Bronner’s. The conditioner itself is really thin in consistency & doesn’t have much slip. When used with a wide tooth comb my hair was suprisingly detangled, soft and not weighed down at all. Definitely a keeper.

   Hair profile: Straight, very long, and very thick(think Pocahontas hair). The perfect combo for my hair is a clarifying shampoo then using a heavy weight conditioner to do all the moisturizing and repairing. I chose this conditioner over the masque because I did not know how heavy the conditioner will be and maybe I would be satisfied with just that before i go on to the masque.

   Made a noticeable difference in my hair. Hair is moisturized, less tangles, silky, and very soft. Overall healthy feeling. My hair is also perfumed from the conditioner which smells really good to me; it smells like earthy, woody vanilla which is a pleasant change from all the fruity scents. The conditioner works really well on my hair type for everyday!

   I am mixed Asian&White yet I am aware that this brand is more for ethnic/African-American/ curly-coarse hair, I even bought it from that section of the store! But no matter, this works for me, I love this conditioner and would buy again!

   You have to apply a lot before even consider your hair moisturised. It has a really nice smell and has natural agents, leaving my hair really shiny and soft.

   I have color treated,naturally spiral curly hair (3b with a mix of 3a & 3c’s) that I occasionally straighten and this conditioner is great when paired up with the matching shampoo!!

   I love how its lightweight & not heavy on my curls. This conditioner rinses easily leaving my hair feeling conditioned!

   Will always repurchase this!

   *kinda pricey so watch for deals at Walgreens & CVS

   So far, this conditioner is only available at Target and on Amazon. It’s the companion product to the SM Jamaican Black Castor Oil clarifying shampoo with apple cider vinegar. It hydrates really well although it’s really light and leaves my hair bouncy with tons of body. I use it when I use the shampoo and the two products together make my hair soft and healthy looking. It also smells amazing, just like the shampoo, really clean and fresh. This is a new product and not widely available yet but time will prove that it’s just as awesome as the shampoo. It’s safe for color treated hair, like mine, and it makes my hair really shiny. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all and would therefore be suitable for fine hair imo. I am now on my second bottle of this conditioner and have made it part of my normal routine. It’s probably the lightest of all the SM conditioner I’ve used but it still does an excellent job of moisturizing and it doesn’t build up or leave my hair feeling coated or heavy. It’s the perfect complement to the shampoo. I use these products about every two weeks or whenever I feel that the styling products I regularly use have started to build up and make my hair heavy. The shampoo removes all traces of the sticky residue from heavier conditioners and hairspray as well. Clarifying formulas can be rather drying, but this one isn’t and the matching conditioner restores the moisture balance perfectly. I always have a great hair day when I use these two products. I discovered the shampoo in Ulta and before this, I had no idea there was such a thing as a sulfate free clarifying shampoo. Because my hair is color treated, as well as highlighted, I figured that using a clarifying formula was not an option. But these two products keep my color fresh and bright and never strip it. This conditioner smells awesome and works like a charm when used in tandem with the shampoo. I can’t recommend these two products highly enough. I have repurchased them many times now and although I used the shampoo with another conditioner before the matching formula was available, my results are even better with this new conditioner. If you love the shampoo, you’ll love the conditioner. I promise!!
