It’s cheap which is a plus. I purchased this as a co-wash option and sometimes to pre-poo. When I pre-poo, I apply an oil or conditioner mixed with water to my hair and leave it in overnight. I wash it out in the morning and do my normal wash routine. So, I like this as a pre-poo because it leaves my hair feeling soft and easier to detangle when that step comes. As a co-wash, it’s just okay, my hair feels puffier and less defined after I co-wash with this and I ended up having to shampoo it anyway so I will not use it again for that purpose.

I bought this on a whim at Dollar Tree a few months ago. I’ve spent well over $50 on conditioner before. After years of trial and error I found that the only thing my hair-type really loves is dirt cheap silicone. So I figured for $1, I had nothing to lose. I’ve now gone through 5+ bottles. This has got to be one of my favorite conditioners. The scent is light and refreshing. I was shocked at how silky my hair was left. I’m sure a lot of you with super healthy hair would find this formula too heavy. But I’m in love.
I will note not using a shampoo with this is not optional. If you skip the shampoo, no matter how dry your hair is – you’ll be left with greasy hair. This conditioner is that hydrating. It’s especially useful when I strip my hair too much. The conditioner brings it back to feeling healthy ASAP. I still use Olaplex and a list of other products, but nothing can replace a good daily conditioner.
I’ll continue repurchasing.

I’m really enjoying using this conditioner since finding it at the Dollar Tree last month. It is taking care of the fly-aways I’ve been having trouble with plus it leaves my hair with great slip and a delicious scent! It has somewhat of a warm vanilla scent. While out taking my daily walk, my hair will blow across my face and I get a whiff of the warm scent. This is definitely the best smelling conditioner I’ve ever bought.
I don’t really have a dry scalp so I only put it on my hair from the ears down after shampooing. I shampoo and condition my mid-length, straight hair daily and like to rotate a volumizing shampoo/conditioner with a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. It seems to keep my hair balanced that way. The Dollar Tree didn’t have the matching shampoo but I will certainly try it when I find it. In the meantime I am using this conditioner with a Pantene Shampoo, but the Vo5 smells better than the Pantene conditioners to me, and works at least as well if not better!
