I recently replaced all of my DS hair products w HE products except for this S/C coz I love the JF stuff so much (& also the JF Sea Salt Spray). This is so minty & refreshing, makes my naturally curly-wavy hair 2x highlighted have bounce & shine. I never used this prior to it being DC but I’m so glad it’s back. I hope he doesn’t DC this again!! This would be really gr8 for summer weather. My scalp is oily & my hair gets a lot of product build up so I’m glad to have this around.

Conditioner: For a “detangling conditioner”, it didn’t detangle any better than drug store brands. In fact, I’ve used bargain brands that detangle better. To get any kind of conditioning out of it, I had to use a lot. I’ve barely used any of the shampoo I bought at the same time and have used the whole bottle of conditioner. It helped my frizz a little bit, but left it with that John-Frieda-silcone-coated feel. It also made my neck and upper back break out pretty badly. For the price and the performance, I won’t be buying this one again.
Scent: Great scent. I think it smells like Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum. My Hubby thinks it smells like peppercorns. Either way, it’s a refreshing scent in the morning.
Packaging: Great packaging. Slim, easy to handle and easy to store bottle. The snap-cap fits nice and snug. Easy to pour out how much you want and snap the cap closed with one hand.
My hair: bra-strap length, fine, half blond/half grey, wavy, dry ends, and frizzy overall. I live in warm, dry SoCal, with minimal humidity.

I was so excited to see this back in stores, right in time too as I recently am transitioning from black to blonde. I love this stuff! It smells wonderful and really does a fine job of conditioning my fine, very color-damaged bleached hair. Works fab as a leave in too, providing silkiness and shine without greasiness or weight. Love!

**this is a review of the re-released conditioner, not a review from an old original bottle**
I love this conditioner! I was a huge fan of the Beach Blonde line when it first came out and I’m so happy this conditioner is back! This makes my hair feel weightless but still very smooth, shiny and soft, even though it doesn’t have a lot of “slip” when my hair is wet. The scent is nice and refreshing, I love that it’s very light and not too perfumey like some conditioners, since those scents can be heavy in the summer.
The packaging is really pretty. Very simple but it feels beachy and summery, and it’s more attractive than most drugstore packaging.
The shampoo in this line is quite harsh, but I find this conditioner works perfectly with a moisturizing shampoo on my curly, slightly dry hair.

So this is back on the market. I have no idea if it’s the same formula or not. Although the matching shampoo is terrible on my hair, I do like this conditioner. It detangles my fine, wavy hair nicely, without zapping it of body. Leaves it conditioned and shiny, with texture. Lovely lemon-y/ mint scent. Pretty, pale aqua blue color. I received trial sizes of the shampoo, conditioner & sea salt spray. I would definitely buy a full sized bottle of this conditioner (not the other 2).

I used to love this conditioner when it was on the market. I used it when I went on vacation and it made my hair so soft, smooth, frizz free, clean and bouncy. The scent was refreshing and I found this detangled my hair very well. It also did not strip my hair colour. I was sad when this and JF’s Frizz Ease Glistening Creme Conditioner were d/c’d, as these were the only two products from John Frieda that were compatible with my hair.

I can’t believe this (along with the rest of the beach blonde line) is discontinued! This worked wonders for my wavy/curly hair! The curls were even bouncier, more definied, absolutely no frizz, and super shiny! No other conditioner has ever done that for me before! I think I’ll cry!

I am a conditioner ADDICT. This seemed to be the only conditioner i’ve never tried when i spotted it in a clearance for $4 in a beauty store. I just washed/conditionerd/dried/flat ironed my hair ( blond highlighted and thin).well it is AMAZING!! It made my hair SUPER soft and very shiny! it isn’t heavy nor weighed down as some conditioners do to my thin hair. I love it! I read that this conditioner is discontinued, oh well..I definitely do recommend it.
