Since purchasing 33.8oz Loreal Total Repair 5 shampoo and conditioner I have had scalp acne. I have used regular size Loreal for years without a problem.
I am concerned that this product may be made in a part of the world where there is little product safety controls.
To fix this problem I have purchased Wow Organic Shampoo and conditioner. I am very unhappy. Very unhappy.
In addition to the scalp a new my head itches. I have not changed anything else. Noty bedding. No makeup. Not food. Just shampoo and conditioner.
Sad really.

I have baby fine, fragile, color treated blonde hair. At first, I liked this. It seemed to have good ingredients like ceramide, etc. But after a week, I noticed that my hair was like straw. It was getting tangly and with huge knots in it that were so bad, I had to cut them out. I was mad because I am trying to grow my hair longer. I bought detanglers, leave in products hoping they would help. But they didn’t. It wasn’t until I switched to Aussie Moist and the Redken Anti Snap that I realized the conditioner was the culprit. So if you have a similar hair type to me, I would avoid this. I much recommend the Aussie Deep Minute Miracle which is also cheaper, and then using Redken Anti Snap after.

At first I was pretty disappointed with this. I was trying to save money on Kerastase and Oribe and I remembered my hairstylist once told me that L’Oreal products in general are good – and that nutrition is more important than product anyway. So, at first I was disappointed with this because unlike with my Kerastase or Oribe conditioners my hair was super frizzy after using this (with my Kerastase Elixir Ultime Shampoo, which I feel is pretty non-drying) and much drier. I was afraid it was going to break if I kept using it. It felt like more of a shampoo than a conditioner really, albeit slightly moisturizing.
So, so as not to waste it, I decided to try it as a co-wash/shampoo+conditioner type deal since it felt more like a shampoo anyways. I think as a conditioner after a shampoo it’s too drying for me. It’s an OK level of moisture if you have fine, oily hair – like I do – but not if it’s also pretty delicate and breaks easily, like mine does. You can’t strip away so much of your natural oils.
Using this alone I end up with the perfect level of cleanliness, moisture, volume, and bounciness. Maybe even better than with Oribe and Kerastase, which sometimes do weigh my waves down too much. Perfect fix – and now I save money on conditioner and shampoo : )
Oh and it smells coconut-y, which I love.

Loved the smell of this stuff but it was way too heavy for my normal hair. My hair sometimes can get frizzy so I thought this would be good for smoothing it down and adding some extra shine, but it definitely weighed my hair down. Could see this working really well for drier hair. I loved the smell though!

Found my favorite conditioner! Makes hair super smooth and shiny. I have generally had good experience with most of loreal hair care products so I highly recommend them. my hair is not frizzy but it can get a bit dry. Works great on my hair type.

Did not care for this. While the scent is pleasant, not too heavily scented, this for me did not do much in the way of a conditioner. My hair is ot very dry at all nor damaged, and this really did not do much in the way of moisturizing nor detangling. I still had to use my Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum to get my hair untangled. This is also a heavy conditioner, so if you have thin hair, this may just weigh your hair down, and not do anything else, even if you rinse it like crazy, it still can weight your hair down. The bottle is easy to use, but aside from a pleasant scent and an easy to use bottle, I can’t say anything more about this that is positive. Those that have had luck with this, great. I can see how if your hair is very dry or damaged, this would perhaps work miracles. But if your hair is just average, or is thin, or you maybe just have a few professional highlights like me, this might be/will probably not be for you. Also, this does not distribute through the hair very easily. I keep a mega-wide tooth comb in the shower for such conditioners, and even that did not really help to evenly distribute the conditioner.

Soaks into hair nicely, detangles well. This is an everyday conditioner, but I find it works even better than deep repair masks. Very good overall, but still not good enough to tame the flyaways and dullness of my fine, bleach-damaged hair.

effective for the price.

My hair dresser was about to cut my hair off because it was so dry and dead on the ends after being bleached but I begged her not to and picked up this stuff on a whim, not expecting anything dramatic and what I got was a miracle! After one use this brought my hair to life! My hair dresser was amazed when I back a few weeks later. This mask is also BOMB! I’ll never spend $$$ on a hair product again.

Nothing to write home about… I have died, fried, wavy, frizzy hair and A LOT of it. After reading the reviews I was expecting a miracle. This is basically your generic run of the mill cheap conditioner with a bit (not a lot) of “cones” – in par with Pantene or Dove marketed towards “normal” hair types. I feel it would work on average to somewhat processed hair (minimal highlights or a semi perm dye) – but for not for damaged hair as advertised. My hair is on it’s 2nd day and feels dry lacks shine and even looks a bit faded (I dye my hair red). Thus far my drugstore fav is still Suave Keratin Infusion conditioner… gives my hair good slip, hydrates and works well with heat for $3 a bottle. Oh Suave – I should of never betrayed you!!!
