I’ve been having problems with dry patches under my eyes that cause my concealer to go on splotchy, especially after setting with powder. My go to concealer has been Sephora bright future gel serum for a while now and it has always worked beautifully but due to hormonal changes my skin texture seems to be changing. It just doesn’t look as flawless and perfect as it used to.
So when I found this concealer on sale for $5.99 at Marshalls I was excited to try it because Stila generally has good products. I got two of them because I wasn’t sure which would be a better match. I got shades light and light-medium. I was very doubtful at first, because when I tested them out the consistency seemed pretty thin. I didn’t think the coverage would be great, but it is surprisingly good and can be built up without looking cakey. I don’t have very dark under eye circles, though.
Light-medium is more yellow toned and light is a bit TOO light but the undertone works better for me. So I mix a drop of light-medium in with the light shade and it matches my skin perfectly.
I think it dries down a bit fast, so blend quickly. Once it’s dry it’s good, it doesn’t crease or fade off leaving you with weird coverage. Finish is satin, very natural and just beautiful. I set it with translucent powder and it stays all day. I don’t have any issues with dry patches when using this concealer, it does a very good job of hydrating and smoothing things out. I would recommend it to anyone who is concerned about dryness under the eyes.
I went back and purchased 3 more tubes, all they had in the shades I got. Once I run out of these if I don’t repurchase this concealer it’ll only be because I don’t like the idea of having to buy 2 shades to get my perfect match when I’m sure I could find it in another product. I have zero complaints about performance and wear.
