I bought this product on sale today today and i thought this cleanser was a bargain for $7 so i decided i would give it a go, and with a few uses it might improve my skin tone. The next morning i used the product only to get slightly red hot skin with a few bumps and a bit of a light burning sensation which felt uncomfortable. i looked at the ingredients and i realized it was from the menthol they use in the product which i did not like. If you have sensitive skin i would warn you this is not a product you should use . I returned the product . Never buy again. I also bought a box set out of this range only to discover it was made in china. Returned that product also.
On a side note : The product not expensive but not worth the money if it doesn’t help skin. The cleanser smelled nice but the packaging is left to be desired. My skin has since calmed down and i now use another brand of cream instead.

Smells very good, but irritated and burns due to the menthol ingredient in it.

This stuff did not break me out and woke me up in the morning! It did have stronger exfoliating beads than the anit-againg blemish cleanser. I love this stuff and it did give me an improvement on my skin, it feels softer and gets rid of my blemishes faster.

I really didn’t want to write this negative review because I like Olay products and I love the nourishing creme cleanser so I figured the scrub would be good since I like to use a scrub 2x a week to exfoliate.
This left my skin lobster red for hours with a burning tight like sensation and I don’t have sensitive skin. I was really surprised because like I said I like Olay’s products especially their face cleansers and their super moisturizing body washes.
Too bad because it’s a nice smelling gentle scrub, I guess I’ll stick with the other scrub they carry the 2in1 swirl like green bottle scrub.

I find most facial scrubs, tend to leave my face tight and dry, but this was just amazing. My skin felt refreshed, light and soft, and the micro-beads in the scrub itself are small enough that it’s not irritating to use this daily (i use it in the morning and before bed) i would buy this again and again.

Several days ago I purchased this scrub along with the Total Effects Cream Cleanser + Blemish Control face wash and the Total Effects Firming Night Cream. (I also use Olay Complete SPF 15 Sensitive moisturizer but I have already been using this for the last year.)
I like this scrub. It’s scrubbing particles are small and gentle enough for me to use daily, which is what my sensitive skin needs. I have been using this once a day (before bed). I love the smell too, it smells like an orange popsicle. When I pat my face with a towel afterward, my face doesn’t feel tight and dry at all.
I have sensitive skin that is acne prone with certain ingredients, and it can easily unbalance to become too oily or too dry (or even oily/dry at the same time). Using this scrub in conjunction with the other products has balanced out my face in just a matter of days. I will continue buying it.

While I really like the add-water TE cleansing cloths, I cannot say the same for this scrub. With its promise of “refreshing citrus” goodness I was hoping for a drugstore duplicate of Bliss’s Clog Dissolving Cleansing Milk. But no, it is not. This scrub-that-lathers does cleanse my skin & remove makeup. But I HATE the afterburn—courtesy of menthol. I think it much more menthol than it is citrus. Blech. Menthol is for medicines—-and nothing else IMO. I will definitely not repurchase. I am not even sure that I will finish up this tube.

I got this in a sample with a few other Total Effects products, and I love it. The scent is gentle and citrus-y, there is good cleansing action that removes makeup and oil, and the exfoliation leaves my skin feeling super soft. I don’t think it’s something I would use both day and night every day, but for a good scrubbed-clean feeling, I like it, and ever since using it, I think my skin looks brighter and less dull. I can’t give it a perfect rating because I do think it’s a little much for constant use, and the exfoliating agent is tough to rinse away completely without a little effort.

This claims to be a daily facial “cleanser”. The only product that I can compare it to in look and texture is the Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser. However that is where the comparison ends! This scrub/cleanser is not gentle enough to use every day. It isn’t because it feels harsh, it’s because it makes your skin burn! It also has this weird cooling feeling on the face when you apply it, but once rinsed off, the burning feeling starts. I usually apply retinol after I cleanse, but the first time I did this, my face was really uncomfortable. I thought I should give it a week to see if my skin settled down and got used to it, but it never did. I even tried putting Nivea cream (blue tin) on my face after cleansing with this, but my skin still burned. Now I do not react to much. I am a long time retinol, AHA, Vitamin C user, so my skin is very tolerant. The scrub itself is orange and it is grainy but with soft grains, not the harsh grains like the original St Ives scrub. I just cannot recommend this. Way better products out there that will not cause this level of discomfort.
